It would be hard to understand or feel for the movie characters unless you watch the drama first, even though the story is not exactly a continuation. I feel like they did all the character development in the drama and there is sort of an expectation you already know the characters going into the movie. Also I heard they cut a lot from the movie (not sure why) so the storytelling is choppy, some things are missing that would have made it flow better Hoping the drama does show up again for some US streaming services

in the original version, the city version of her was starting a business with the young guy and he liked her but he dies. Then she reconnects with the boss character who is no longer her boss.

What I meant about no ultimate choice is that at the end of the drama, there was no one decision by the FL based on knowing both lives
LXY's character has more screentime than the other potential romantic interests. In the option that she chooses to stay, she ends up with LXY's character through ups and downs. In the choice where she chooses her career, LYS's character becomes the new romantic interest after LXY's character breaks up with her, but for some reasons that might be changed in the adaptation, LYS's character leaves the country. YC's character might be the other potential romantic interest in the career choice life, they changed his character's name from the original though.
In the original drama's ending, there's no ultimate choice of one or the other or merging, the drama shows that things work out whichever decision she makes.

In the original, it wasn't reincarnation or anything like that, it was just showing two possible outcomes to her life depending on what she chose, so maybe they don't need to change it for censorship but who knows
