Fun, well-produced
Great little drama to immerse yourself in! Despite some confusing parts and some spots of weaker acting, in general the performances are very strong, cast is very charming, and the pacing and progression into the story is well executed. I especially think that Tian Xiwei carried this drama on her BACK! She is EXCELLENT!!
Story-wise, I didn’t find it particularly deep or intriguing, but mostly enjoyable and satisfying. Since it’s all fictional but inspired by Song/Tang/Warring-ish times I did find some of the political explanations confusing
Soundtrack is also lovely, will be saving to my playlist.
