I don't think so. He doesn't have enough convincing motifs to do all that. While the mother does. Remember that she seduced the teacher (by kissing him and all) so he's okay with teaching her son. She will do anything to get recognition from the grandfather.

Yeah, a korean teenager (literally a 16yo teenager) hire foreigners in a foreign country doesn't make sense to me. Especially the theme is a more of a realistic drama, not heavy on thriller or stuff. It needs an adult, and an evil one to do that.

Oh right. And remember that Jeongyo wasn't good at english. It's easier for him to referred her as 'mother' (or eommoni, as a way to called an older married woman) instead of school director.

My theory is Director Yoon (grandfather's wife) left that house 5yrs ago to spends more of her time for searching Jeongyo, since she's the only adult that genuinely cares for him, and she has the money and access. And she's also the one who brings Jeongyo back to the spotlight.

Is it possible that Director Yoon (the school director) is the one that brings Jeongyo to the spotlight again? Since she left that house 5 years ago, perhaps so she can spends her time to search for Jeongyo. She has the money and the access. And she's the only adult that genuinely cares for him in the first place at that time.

And it does make sense that he hired a private investigator 5 years ago, since he was only 16 back then, meaning he was about 20 (5 years ago) when he became more independent and not rely fully on her mom anymore.

No, I think Jaein would still be in Pio's side and I don't think she would be a villain. She's just a supporting character that plays a role to support Pio despite the circumstances. He definitely needs that kind of support system (since he basically doesn't have someone to rely on besides Jaein), otherwise he'd probably died by suicide.

The mom is the one who did all of this. She lost her 'dream' life due to pregnancy and the only thing she can do to pay that is by making her son as an extend of her life. This kind of parents is the worst tbh.

I won't be mad if Jeongyo turns evil and has a high desire to take everything that Pio has achieved. Considering what he got from Pio's mom.

Maybe they will become rivals and compete representing different countries (because it looks like Jeongyo never went home and will get new citizenship). And this becomes a turning point for Jeongyo to become a more ambitious and big-goal-oriented person and no longer the "let it flow" type of person.

Oh probably this. Jeongyo would get revenge on Pio's mom through Pio considering she'd do anything to achieve whatever she wants.

But still, it's not as common as it is in western countries. Even tho some couples living together before married, it's still seen as taboo from asian culture perspective. So seeing them in separate apartments while being in 10y relationship is still considered normal (talking as an asian myself).
