I think Dae Han did everything he could in this situation. He went to her family with fruit basket to ask for permission to date. So the opposition there was to strong, and looking at what happened to ML grandma it was not surprise. If running away was an option at all, for both couples , we wouldn't have any problems and drama would have ended long ago. But of course they can't do something like that. It is weekend drama, nobody thinks out of the box. They are all like blind puppies.

You are incorrect. Because of that picture , she went and spoke with the reporters taking all the responsibility and protecting ML. She lied that she told him to cover up the VP scandal, that she used him, that she tried to protect VP. And because of that picture and her protecting ML she was punished.
