After reading some comments below about Euijing and Junmo's flashback scenes in the trailer. I went back to rewatch…
If that's a promotion and it's at the end of the drama, I'm relieved. But I had concerns over the way PJM looked away from his wife so quickly. I had a few guesses but the latest being that he might feel that he was promoted with her help and not on his own merit. He went for the assignment to be promoted so he can feel good enough for her but if she had helped him and was subjected to danger along the way, then he's gonna feel lousy. I remember YEJ was smiling at him so it looks like her feelings toward him was not affected.
Up till now, the storytelling of this drama has been gripping.
Though I root for PJM but I really feel bad for JKC. Not really knowing who he can trust and the two he ends up trusting are going to stab him in the back later on. This drama is successful because it has me caring for most of the characters. Other than the main trio, the dynamics of the gang is something very interesting to watch. The story keeps me sitting on edge because of all the underlying emotional tensions.
About PJM and his wife...the story keeps us wanting to find out what will happen. And with each episode, I've new speculations. In the trailer where he and his wife are in uniforms, I wonder if that's a promotion scene. In that trailer, PJM's eyes dart away very quickly from his wife. Now I'm wondering if it could be cos he felt lousy thinking he had earned the promotion with his wife's aid.
Anyway, I want to say something rude that I've been thinking all this while: I've been holding back but each time I see those stupid comments about cheating, I feel like typing, "SHIBAL! KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT!" But like I said, I've been holding back. *clenched fists behind my back holding my keys*
Everyone here seems to be sure that the marriage is 100% safe, but why is that? We know that Junmo will go to…
I don't assume the marriage is safe cos it does look like PJM might just switch sides. But I cannot stomach all the nonsense about cheating. Someone posted that the wife might act as the lifeline for PJM to turn back from evil. That's also a possibility. I mean just the opening scene in ep 1 has us speculating all sorts but the FL said in her interview that it was a scene PJM came to save her from a gang fight against JKC.
As for the shot, your POV is interesting. I see it as PJM is always hidden so he has to be in the dark.
Still nothing on Disney+ Czech Republic... 😔 I don't get it. Any other country, where the episodes are not…
Did you check the profile of your subscription? Could be a restriction. I initially thought it wasn't available for mine till I checked my profile which was kidsafe.
I love Nini and Zhu Yi Long is a great actor but the plot is just full of holes. Can't believe they made a movie with such a storyline. Watch it without logic and you'll probably enjoy it.
I saw that TWOE is ranked #1 on Watchapedia ahead of Song of Bandits and A Time Called You. Seems this app consolidates shows from the major OTT giants for their subscribers to watch. It's only for Korea and Japan currently.
There is no infidelity in this drama right? I hate when dramas have infidelity
Doubt there will be cos it's already complicated enough with the underlying emotional entanglement we're starting to see. But the way they pit the FL between the 2 leads makes it intriguing to watch.
I don't watch Disney+ but I subscribed it for my family some months back and also to watch TWOE. How is it this platform does not have a Top 10 TV/Movie like Netflix. I mean isn't that basic marketing? Can't be I'd missed it right? Yikes. No wonder everyone is complaining how they're so poor at promoting.
I like the 2 timelines back and forth but gosh 7 yrs ago eps make me sooooo angry and frustrated.
IKR? That's why I found it painful to watch. The actor who plays the villain is such a good choice. I want to smack the smug off his face whenever I see him.
Please delete this comment. Such comments just invite hate for JCW. I watch the drama for JCW but I also appreciate WHJ. A great drama needs a great cast and we cannot deny those 2 have great chemistry and play well together. This section is to discuss the drama and characters, not to play one-upmanship.
I am still thinking how both jun-mo and euijung met in past even when whole family was against still she get married…
I wonder how much truth was there when he shared with the mob gang that he knew her in elementary school and used to escape to her house when he was abused by his dad.
The first episode was good and a decent character set-up for the male leads. The backdrop and the motivations…
I thought his reason for accepting the assignment is a little shaky and dangerous for the mission. It's all due to his insecurities and he seems to have deep-rooted issues based on his family background too.
On the other hand, I haven't thought about his wife being his lifeline but that's a good point to consider. In any case, she's definitely very key to the story. She could also be the reason he goes totally dark later.
