I watched this to see Kim Ji Han in another role after finishing Empress Ki, where he gave a great performance. I’m happy that I did. I was also happy to see that one of my other favorite actors, Nam Goong Min, is in My Secret Hotel. I’m finding that the list of dramas I’ve watched and liked starring Yoo In Ah is getting longer.
This isn’t just a romance drama, it’s also a who-dun-it drama. You need to pay attention throughout the episodes to keep track of who is who and who did what. There was plenty going on so that 2 seasons with more detail would have been nice.
I'm behind on episodes so this might have been proven wrong already but I do not think Yi Gon in Republic of Korea…
I wonder about that, too. They showed his uncle walking toward him like he would hurt him in the apartment in Korea, but they didn't actually show it. I had to re-watch the first couple episodes to keep track of who's who and in which universe things took place.
I enjoyed this drama so far! Even though many things still unclear in terms of plot, but its fine. In this kind…
I wondered who the boy with the YoYo was. Thanks for pointing that out. The person with TE's ID in the beginning looks like a man. If someone else has her ID, that tells me something bad probably happened to her. Maybe the scenes between world's will explain the references to time travel. Will the seeds she planted grow?
I feel guilty when I rewatch a favorite drama staring my bias but can’t finish it. It’s better to watch a new drama. If you drop it, you don’t feel like you’ve hurt your baby’s feelings.
i watched the first 10-12 episodes hoping that my hate for boys over flowers might have been because of the way…
I agree that the physical and emotional abuse is unacceptable. I didn’t finish this version of the drama, but I watched the full Korean Boys Over Flowers. I had to withhold my judgement, which was possible only because I’m in love with Lee Min Ho. I kept telling myself, “It’s only a TV show.” That’s dangerous because we should not be implying that type of violence against women (or men) is acceptable. In the 2018 Meteor Shower, they actually say near the beginning that F4 respects women! If I misheard that, please comment. You can’t excuse the abuse by saying it’s wrong and then do it anyway. Maybe in a manga it doesn’t resonate as much, but in a TV show, it’s difficult to overlook. As far as the target audience, this version seems geared toward teenagers. The college scenes look like more like high school. I’ve never seen a university with lockers. Maybe in Asia (K-dramas have that, too) universities have lockers. The K-drama BOF was a drama adults could enjoy, too. I didn’t feel like I was watching The Disney Channel.
