I know it likely wasn't their intention, but some of the replies to my previous comment about how I personally…
I'm not sure. But I don't think the producers and director of this series were sophisticated enough to pick up on the neurodiversity aspect of Diew's character. I didn't either until your post. This is pretty insightful.
Does anyone have any more BL dramas they know to recommend? Preferably recent onesI've watched Stay With Me, The…
This list that @Nhanle sent you was pretty descriptive of most the popular BLs. However, it really depends on your theatrical and cinematic BL tastes. Although the Thai BLs often times have bigger budgets, better cinematography and more younger/newer BL actors in their series, the Taiwanese, South Korean, Chinese and Japanese BLs seem to give you a much better story, plot and dramatic experience. They tend to utilize fewer tropes and stereotypes, and often more mature actors (mid-to-late 20s).
Now, granted that Thailand has become the premier country for producing BLs, IMO, it's become such a profitable business that many of their patrons "like" the cookie-cutter, trope and stereotype infested BLs that are produced in Thailand (and often). So, as I said, it depends on your BL tastes.
This action part of this ep was kind of silly. These bungling body guards must have the skills of Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Poirot, and Lt. Columbo (Google them) all roled into one! LOL! They found Tatoo, Hoy and Jack ALL IN A DAY! Wow! I guess being stupid has its privileges! LMFAO!
This series is actually pretty good. I can't figure out why posters on MDL give it such a low rating??? It's getting better with each ep. I just hope they (producers) don't fill these last eps with some silly misunderstanding trope or other silliness commonly found in BLs before the couple finally get together.
I'm still trying to figure out where this series is going. Possibly nowhere! LMFAO! But, at least it's "entertaining" enough to keep me wondering, "What the hell am I watching?!" LOL!
I just rewatched the first two eps. I can't put my finger on it, but there's something off about this series. Yeah, it could be the "bad" acting, the bad script, the toxicity of the "relationships" or even the mix of older and younger actors playing more adult roles. I'm not sure. But, there's something definitely off about this series and we're only into ep. 2.
You have the right to your opinion and I think I understand it. However, before we go dashing Diew, let's just…
I just rewatched ep. 10. Maybe it's the English translation, but based on what I saw, I think we may have to agree to disagree. Again, it may be cultural. 1) It may have been an accident about the diary and the photo. But those are still Diew's private items in his room. Diew doesn't owe God any explanation about anything that is his room. 2) God did not tell him about seeing the diary and photo until the situation with Pee came up. He may not have been "lying" but he was also not forthcoming. 3) Diew even asked God if he was jealous and God's response was "he doesn't care about Diew's exes but felt like an outside because he didn't know about Diew's exes. Agreed that it would've probably ease things if Diew just told God everything about Pee. Agreed, he may have left out the boyfriend part -- but he did say it was a senior he knew (which was true). That's not lying, that's leaving out info. 4) The comment about your bf asking about your ex is a valid one. As far as making sense -- what right does the bf have in even asking about the ex? What actually makes no sense is "why the bf suddenly wants to know?" Unless the bf is coming from a place of jealousy, insecurity, lack of trust or any combination. Take your pick. Finally, why does God get to decide what info Diew tells him, especially when Diew is not doing the same to God.
As you see, we both have a different perspective on the same ep. I'm not sure if we are both right, both wrong, or somewhere in between. But this has a very stimulating discussion and I hope to have more with you in the future.

Once again, agreed with most of your post. But asking the question in the first place was actually very problematic to begin with, since it appeared to be stemming from God's "apparent" jealousy of Pee, distrust of Diew and/or some form of insecurity. WHO actually was "causing" the problem, God or Diew? Actually, it was God. I also agree with the IRL in BL drama -- but does it always need to be so blatantly obvious and silly???

P.S. It also turns out the bracelet was NOT given to Diew by Pee. God had absolutely NO right to "assume" that and consequently jump to the conclusion that Diew was keeping his ex's bracelet for some reason. Again, God is supposed to the older more mature character, right?
