1. Yes, the show is toxic. So wtf! A lot of BLs are toxic, so are alot of non-BLs. As you pointed out. It's about the mafia -- doing toxic shit is kinda what they do, isn't it?

2. No, it's not 50% porn. It's more like 10% - 15%. Although, some probably wishes it were more!

3. Yes, IMO, the plot "sucked." But, I'm not a screenwriter, so wtf do I know.

5. Both KP and VP relationships are f'ked up. OK. But, so are about 20% of the relationships of couples worldwide. You want to get in line?

6. Finally, it's just a tv show! It's entertainment! It's BL fantasy! Don't believe me. Let's see:
a) There are two Mafia families with lgbtq+ sons running the organizations
b) There are bodyguards (mafia soldiers) who are "all" handsome, young, fit and look
like they stepped out of GQ magazine and
c) There are pockets of hot sex scenes ranging from hetero sex in the beginning, to wild
gay sex, to even a few hints of kinky sex and bdsm at the end. Need I say more??

Totally agree with you! Waayyy too many problematic scenes played for fan service , I guess. I have noooo problem with folks having these types of tastes (it's their right). But, quoting Walt Whitman (famous American poet, essayist, and author), "because you have the right to do it, doesn't make it right to do it." You kind of paraphrased him. All the things you stated as "problematic" are, IMO, is problematic and socially wrong, whether it's in "real life" or in "fiction," such as in a BL drama.

But, what I find really interesting is how soooo many folks seem to NOT have issues with the problematic scenes. Hmmm???

Thai BLs appear to be getting much more "mature." They've come along way since the "blue shorts" and high school/uni days. Sex and violence sells! Oh well, C'est la vie!

The last ep. was choppy at best and with a holey plot at worst. But, overall, still a pretty good series.

I'm not sure how I feel about KinnPorsche??? I still think parts of the series was well done, while other parts were just a freaking mess! LMBO! But, as I said before, IT"S A TV SHOW, FANTASY, MAKE BELIEVE or whatever else descriptor you want to call it. I guess I save my judgement for when OR IF, we get a season 2.

Thank you. Fyi. I was a practicing clinical therapist for several years. I have a PhD is Behavioral and Analytical pschology. I do actually know quite a bit about Stockholm, though I've never worked with someone with it.

Actually, I just thoroughly enjoy this whole discussion about whether Pete is or is not experiencing Stockholm syndrome. IMO, a case could be made either way.

Depressive Mood Disorder. Hmmm? I could agree with that. However, that doesn't necesarily mean that he couldn't be having symptoms of Stockholm. Those people believed to be experiencing Stocholm often exhibit other mental health issues as well.

I agree with you that Vegas/Pete is a "twisted complex" story and " that it's not made for everybody." But. you seem to have strong comments towards any poster that makes the Stockholm reference. I'm curious. What makes you so convinced that it couldn't be Stockholm?

Absolutely true! But, in many cultures "family" is "family," regardless of whether they are blood related or not. However, on the other hand, some cultures have no problem marrying within the family (blood or not). So, I guess you're right. I stand corrected.

Now, this was a great ep.! But, IMO, the Vegas/Pete relationship is still really f*cked up! Pete should've shot Vegas in his leg, arm or even his ass, as a little payback...then forgive him, if he wants.

Again, I'm not disputing you. But, Stockholm is still a "phenomenon" amongst psychological disorders. And, since it statistically has only occurred in about 8% of hostage/captor situations, still much is unknown. However, I guess only the author would know if this was part of the story.

I'm not disputing your definition of Stockhol Syndrome, because it is essentially correct. Some professionals would say "defense mechanism" vs coping mechanism. And, no , the two are not the same. However, the bond that developes between captor/victim does not have to be a lengthy time. Some cases reported have occurred when the captor/victim have spent only a short amount of time with each other. One key component in Stockholm is "trauma bonding." Pete and Vegas shared their experiences in which they were beaten by their fathers. That can definitely be a traumatic event. Hence, the "trauma bonding." So, whoever initially brought up Stockholm (it was not I), may not have been too far off.

Okay. After reading many of the comments, I'm still just smh! Comments ranging from "reality vs fiction," "love versus lust," "KP content vs VP content," and finally "black vs white" when trying to describe what's going on in this series.

Well, I'll tell you what I think is going on, "folks are being entertained!" Just from all of the comments alone, folks here on MDL seem to be getting a pretty good dose of entertainment. So much so, that some are philosophizing (or fantasizing, take your pick) on the KP and Vp relationships. THB, I really don't have a problem with folks doing the be fore mention things -- because for "all that it's worth," KinnPorsche is JUST A TV SHOW created to do what most tv shows do, entertain, and more importantly "advertise and sell the sponsors' products," and "KINN, PORSCHE, VEGAS, PETE, CHAY, and KIM" are ALL characters portrayed actors who are paid to "entertain" and help "sell the sponsors' products."

Whether you're into or not into any of the following: 1) romanticized rape/sexual assault, 2) torture, 3) victimization, 4) bdsm, 5) older/younger relationships, 6) betrayal, 7) Stockholm or Lima syndrome stories, or 8) any other non-traditional BL story, just remember this one thing -- the show is still meant to basically do two things, entertain you and get to notice (and hopely buy) the sponsors products.

So, if you like what's going on in KinnPorsche, watch, enjoy, comment on what you like or don't like and suffer through the many adds and commercials. LMFAO! Or, turn the channel, flip the switch, or use "Hey Google or Hey Siri" on your phone, ipad, or other device to change to another BL that is more to your liking, where you can watch, enjoy, comment or what you like or don't like and suffer through those BLs many add and commercials.... Still LMFAO!
