OMG! This series is getting better and better. Again, it's nice to have a BL story integrated within the actual plot. I think this is probably the best BL story Off/Gun has done. They're really showing how great of an onscreen BL couple they can be.
I have two opinions on this show. 1) Diao is sweet and wonderful and I love him. 2) This drama is just as awful…
I can't agree more. Diao is adorable. However, this series just reeks with tropes, stereotypes, outdated customs, toxic relationships, and betrayal. Although it is obviously meant to be a "cute" romcom (hence, the title Cutie Pie, I guess), it does present lgbtq+ persons in a very negative way. Like you, I'm not going to waste any more time on it.
1. I think he cares about him, and the reason he hunted him was to get him out of the picture because he wanted,…
Interesting! The part I'm still confused is this: O.K., Todd and Black had a disagreement and Todd had him beaten up. At any point in time, he could've killed him himself, if he truly wanted him dead. So, why the cat-and-mouse with White? Was Black going to double-cross Todd and not get Tawi out of the way? Did Todd want Black and his gang to work for him once Tawi was out of the way? If Todd is next in line to run things, does that mean Todd's into criminal activities as well already???
You see, there are so many plot twists this show could have if they choose to make it so. There may be enough plot twists for a season 2. IDK.
Wow! There are a lot of plot issues to resolve in the next 3 eps. 1) Why did Todd let Black live and why did he attack him in the first place? 2) Why and where did White run to when he left Sean. 3) Where's is the dad during all of this, when he thinks White's just attending school? 4) How will the resolution of Sean and Dan affect the rest of the group, especially Yok? Finally, 5) how will White and Black get back at Todd, or will they??
I'm not sure how all of these plotlines will unfold, but I do hope the show ties up a couple of them, even if they save the rest for a season 2.
After watching the 3rd ep of this series, I'm going to take a break from this BL. I know it's supposed to be farcical, humorous, etc., but the overt silliness, the overdone tropes, and obvious stereotypes is just a little too much for me. However, the rest of you enjoy. I may check it out later. Who knows?
Okay. With 4 eps left, the story in going into a tailspin. I just hope they don't drag out Sean not knowing which is Black and which is White until the last ep. That would be silly, but intriguing.
Yeah, this series is extremely campy. At times it's funny, other times it's just silly. This series basically has taken the same old hijinks from high school and brought it the university. Been there, done that, and I guess they're doing it again. LMBO!
He was protecting him from Todd but when white said Todd is the reason that he was placed in the gang he is going…
Okay. If Gumpa works for Todd, why need White to help set-up the gang? Gumpa is also in the gang, correct? Why not just use Gumpa? SMH! I think something is missing...the link between Todd and Black???
He was protecting him from Todd but when white said Todd is the reason that he was placed in the gang he is going…
I'm still trying to figure out WHY Todd had Black beat up??? Does has something to do with Tawi, Black's girlfriend, or someone else in the gang. That's the last unknown plot twist to figure out.
