I think it was Jinse, not Madame Gongsun but Jinse was sent by Yi Cheng to make hatred between Ashile and Tang. Like Jinse is not loyal to Ashile but only Yi Cheng and the thing is like Eagle Division is loyal to Sun, not Great Khan technically that is comparable. What is not ok about Yi Cheng is she does bad things so Jinse is doing bad things on behalf of Yi Cheng but representing the whole Ashile, the others don't know it only Yi Cheng starting this fire but they think it Ashile and Yi Cheng is trying to start a fire by using Jinse. I agree a bit with the plot getting weaker later on but only a little bit and then it got stronger, weaker at around episode 27-ish just a bit since its kind of just looking for Chang Ge, Yi Cheng slowly killing Great Khan and such and then got stronger after like episode 33 when Du Ru Hui finally doesn't want to catch Chang Ge-just my opinions

yeah I dislike the Crown Prince but he has got some sort of sense in him like not wanting Leyan to marry Sher but still he is definetly super annoying. Agree so much with you and Richaliya- So many dramas have things that don't make sense but these are like things you can catch on the first watch like this doesn't fit into this drama's time period or how does this character do that but in TLB this isn't the case. There are several things that somewhat don't make sense but they are small details so they really don't impact the storyline that much.
Also agree with the misunderstandings part, TLB's storyline does involve misunderstandings but these misunderstandings are not the main parts of the plot and they get resolved in a realistic amount of time. Sun already knows 2 of Chang Ge's biggest secrets (Yongning Princess and she is a woman) by episode 10 and continues to treat her as he did before but maybe with a little more respect since he is starting to like her. Chang Ge and Sun are so open with each other that they kind of know what each other is thinking. For example Chang Ge knew that Sun wanted to go save Great Khan and get revenge for Yaro after knowing he wasn't in the prison but was killed the night he got there and Chang Ge was the one who said it outloud.
In the drama you can clearly see the amount of trust and respect they have for each other.
Same with Hao Du and Leyan, in the beginning Leyan was afraid of Hao Du but overcame that fear after being lost for so long. Hao Du loses some of Leyan's trust after episode 31 where Hao Du uses Leyan to try to catch Chang Ge, but he regains that trust and respect after episode 42 where he fought after Sher and won. After episode 42 when they both know each others feelings, there are literally no misunderstandings between Leyan and Hao Du.
In episode 43, Chang Ge wants Wei Shu Yu to keep investigating the poison case since she hopes Yi Cheng will be convicted but obviously Mimi was the scapegoat and now Sher is so they won't investigate anymore and Bayegu had also confessed but I think they confessed because Sher or Yi Cheng forced them to get Sher out of as much trouble as possible.
The scene in episode 42 where Leyan and Chang Ge are talking about Wei Shu Yu, Sun and Hao Du is like best friends talking about their lovers while chilling, its so cute and made me laugh a bit
The scene in episode 42 where Chang Ge wants to get someone to fight against Sher and the 3 men all look afraid is so funny. Chang Ge hurt them physically before so they are all so scared and the thing is she hurt them because they did something bad to others.
Clearly this shows Chang Ge is not afraid to punish unrighteous people and that she is very righteous.
Yes agree, there is just so much to discuss and you can literally discuss one single line of a character and there most likely will be some connections or hidden meanings, there are probably still things hidden in the drama or connections we have ought to find and some events and such have deeper meanings.

Yeah agree Mimi and Wei Shu Yu got extended screen time to fill in the plot parts that might not have entirely made sense and I think they were both "labor characters"
It might have been nice to make them recurring characters but there were too many scenes of them that made them feel like they had a lot of improtance to the story, they did but not as much as the supporting characters
I would put Wei Shu Yu as a recurring charcters and Mimi Guli as recurring and supporting character middle. Mimi had more importance of the drama than Wei Shu Yu because she was the one that brought the plague and threw the dirty water away and she was the one who kind of imformed Chang Ge of what Yi Cheng wanted her to do and she played a big role into helping Chang Ge seize the Sui palace. But I think her role became bigger like you said to fill in some parts

Yeah, Yi Cheng probably was so upset, this gosh darn Chang Ge keeps wrecking her one thought fool proof plans. Yi Cheng chose the right time in the beginnings stages but chose the wrong time when she made her biggest riskiest moves because Li Chang Ge was there are very involved with Eagle Division.
Basically Yi Cheng puts a well thought out plan into action, it works, yay! But in reality Chang Ge tricked Yi Cheng and now shows all the proof that whoever was wronged was framed.
Chang Ge always had ways to fool Yi Cheng. Again and again, Chang Ge defeats Yi Cheng. Chang Ge was almost one step ahead on Yi Cheng. A big reason was because Mimi told everything Yi Cheng wanted her to do to Chang Ge so she was always prepared. Yi Cheng should have tried to make Mimi not talk about what she was going to if she wanted her plan to be 100% fool proof. But since Mimi told Chang Ge, Chang Ge was almost always prepared, even if she wasn't, she could come up with plans on the spot if the circumstances changed.
Also Yi Cheng didn't take the golden chance to kill Chang Ge when the Luo Yi escape thing happened so now she would almost never have a chance to kill the person who always was one step ahead of her and destroying her plans that may have taken years to come up with until the fire scene at the end but Sun still rescued her.
