What an unexpected turn! Did Mimi poison the guy to set Changge up? The first time Wei Shuyu comes in a good moment!…
There is whole reason and explanation behind the poisoning :)

I hope that in future, especially for promotional events, a variety of cast members get to attend these events.…
I agree, like the dude who played the Second Uncle or the dudes who played the ministers. I would be especially interetsed in Du Minister's actor's thoughts as well as Yi Cheng and Great Khan's. Lei would also be interesting since he was such a loyal follower of Yi Cheng. I would like to know why, because the drama never goes into detail about it.

Thank you for writing this. I was actually thinking about writing a post about her my self but you basically said…
I completely agree, she was still wanting revenge and to achieve her goal even at her last moments. She completely disregarded her life when she flipped over the candles and was still in her fiery raging thoughts.

agree, I had a bit of sympathy for Yi Cheng in the beginning, but her character, attitude and the stuff she did made me completely hate/dislike her. Even the last scene, her convo with Chang Ge gave a slight insight to her mind and her thinkings which were more or less about how she failed to reach her goal and she would not surrender and hated Chang Ge and everyone. That just shows she is really just a person full of hatred. Chang Ge didn't harm her Second Uncle for the good of the Tang people, while Yi Cheng was just left and right killing people that did one bit bad. She killed several people closest to her and when her right hand man yang was gone, she seemed like she didn't care. He was just a pawn to her and his death meant almost nothing. Lei literally cut off 2 peoples' tongues for talking about Great Khan, he obviously learned that from Yi Cheng. If your right hand man does that, gosh, if it were Yi Cheng, her punishment would probably be something like death

agree, Yi Cheng didn't forgive but instead used her hate and mistreatment as fuel making her into doing horrible things

Yi Cheng's goals actually were A. To be free of Great Khan's control B. be able to freely be with her son C. make her son the King of the Grasslands D. revive Sui. Out of these 4 main ones, by the end of the drama, she had only completed the first two. To be free of Great Khan's control, she took advantage of when she was at her highest at that point and when Khan was sick. She poisoned his medicine. This made Khan bed-ridden for weeks and months or maybe even years. During which he was under Yi Cheng' supervision, he was unable to stand up, sit, talk. He had very limited communication. Do I think this is too severe of a punishment for Khan. In my opinion, not really compared to all the bad things he had done to others and especially Yi Cheng. If I were Yi Cheng, I would think this is what he deserves and worse. By doing this, she completed her second goal. With Khan no longer being able to speak and barely being able to move, he could not express himself so everyone believed Yi Cheng since she had a good image and was the wife of Khan. Now she would be able to see, meet, talk to and be with her son. This obviously made her happy. But to me, this made her happy but in a weird way. Obviously she loves Sher, but loves him not like truely loving him but as a pawn and helper, but she still had that bit of motherly love. What I mean by this love is Yi Cheng saus that everything she is doing is for Sher, but that is not true. You find out that her biggest goal is to revive Sui and Sher doesn't really care for Sui. To me, Yi Cheng's love is like a tiger parent's love most of the time. Ok the 3 goal, have him be the King of the Grasslands had her to have to eliminate all tegins. She almost did. She only had Sun, but he was the hardest to kill. Another thing was Sher still kinda cared for Sun. Also, Sun was Sher's biggest rival so obviouslly he would be more careful about Wolf Division people. Another thing is about Alier's death, Sun had been moving locations frequently so it was harder to locate him. Sun also had excellent sword, arrow and martial art skills so even if they found him along, with no weapons, outnumbered, Sun could still get away. No matter how hard they tried to kill Sun, Change Ge and Sun would always stop them and be stage(s) ahead of them. The last reason was the revival of Sui. She said in the lasy episodes that she was loyal to Sui, not Tang and not Grasslands. She wanted Sui to be back again. This was her main reason, not he r son like she said, Yi Cheng also killed so many innocent people just for these reasons and yet still failed in the end. After learning Yi Cheng's entire story, I still feel bad for her but still hate her. I think the reason she became like what she was was because of her horrible conditions living in the Grasslands and constant mistreatment for years. Now I wonder what if she didn't marry into the Grasslands, what would be now be like? What if the Khan(s) had treated her decently and humanly. This way she would hate him less and maybe she would have been fine where she was. As almost every villain does, she had a reason for being so evil the way she was. Yi Cheng might have succeeded if Chang ge was not so involved with everything. I keep getting mixed feelings about Yi Cheng because she did such bad but experienced bad.

Title The Long Ballad Spoiler
Since I have finished the entire drama, to me, the biggest villain is Princess Yicheng. In the beginning when…
I began to think worse of her when I found out of her using Mimi...
Mimi had to obey Princess Yicheng or else her brother Bu Zhen would suffer. Being a good sister, she wanted to protect him, so she did obey Princess Yicheng all the way exepet for the Gromwell time, after that she learned the consequences. First of all, Mimi is just an example of innocent people being affected. She was captured after her hometown and her entire family was killed exept her brother for a hostage. I think Yi Cheng had already planned for this. Mimi would obey Yi Cheng so her brother would not get hurt. Mimi probably had worked for Yi Cheng secretly for some time before going to Eagle Division, which is what I am assuming. I think Yi Cheng used Bu Zhen as a threat and hostage because Mimi being the extremely caring person she was, would do just about everything to ensure the safety or people she cared about being Bu Zhen, Mu Jin and Change Ge. Mimi might have forgotten her mission when Yi Cheng sent out a some what Bu Zhen look alike that was sick knowing that Eagle Division would get a plague and blocking gromwell transportation to kill Eagle Division. In the drama, in the episode where Mimi first found the kid, after caring for him for a while, she throws the water she wet a towel to put on the kid's face. The disease went from the face to towel to water to the kid who fell to others. I know Mimi didn't do this on purpose, but that is essentially how the sickness started. Obviously this was all arranged by Yi Cheng. It couldn't be a coincedence that Gromwell was banned from leaving Mo Bei. This was all Yi Cheng's plan yet no one exept her closest followers knew. Mimi chose to bring the gromwell back even if it was against Yi Cheng because she had promised Mu Jin. After, her brother's finger got cut off. In the drama, Mimi starts crying and begging. I think the reason Yi Cheng chose Bu Zhen as the hostage and Mimi as the missionar is because Mimi cared deeply for her brother and would be forced to do whatever Yi Cheng wanted just by threatening her with Bu Zhen. To Yi Cheng, Mimi might have been a good person to manipulate. Mimi was obviously a pawn in the game and I am glad she found some happiness with Mu Jin and Chang Ge. After Mimi learns of her brother's chopped finger, she becomes more anxious and scared. She is forced to poison a dude's food to kill him. What Yi Cheng didn't know was Change Ge now knew about this, and helped Mimi with the situitaion at the end. I think Mimi felt very lucky to meet, know and be friends with Chang Ge. It was also Change Ge's idea to have Mimi stay with Yi Cheng in case of something happeneding in Ding Xiang. Mimi was very brave for this. Obviously Yi Cheng underestimated Mimi a lot. WIthout Mimi's help, it would have been much harder to get Sun out of his Ding Xiang and from his execution. Mimi in the end, sadly died from an arrow shot from Lei protecting Chang Ge. This shows how caring Mimi was towards Chang Ge. Mimi in the end died but for a good cause and not in the hands of Yi Cheng. Mimi also must have been relieved of Bu Zhen being safe because that must have been one of her biggest wishes for her to be free of the burden of doing bad things to have Bu Zhen not be hurt. After knowing how she manipulated Mimi, I hated Yi Cheng the more I saw her and the more she appeared. But there was another side to Yi Cheng...

Title The Long Ballad Spoiler
My attitude towards Princess Yicheng
Since I have finished the entire drama, to me, the biggest villain is Princess Yicheng. In the beginning when I first learned of her ulterior moves, I felt a bit bad for her and I thought it was justified. She had to marry 4 different men, got abused mentally, psychologically, emotionally and physically. I feel she didn't know what she was getting into when she decided to marry into the Grasslands. Based on her experiences with Great Khan, she probably had around the same treatment with her other husbands. She was yelled at by Great Khan multiple times for having a "sad face", that must have been so hurtful and the fact that it happened over and over again. Also, watching your husband with another women and being romantic with her and them both saying bad stuff about you, yet you can do nothing must also be so painful. In today's world, that would literally be cheating, but since this is way back in time, it is more realistic. Princess Yicheng is shunned and mistreated again and again by Great Khan in multiple ways. He does not at all appreciate her. The only good thing is she has a good image by the people in the beginning. Everyone thought she was righteous and just and that probably paid off when she wanted some loyal people working for her. Even so, they couldn't really do that much since they would have to go against Great Khan. Another thing is Great Khan always despised the princess because of her son. Her son is always second to Sun and the fact that Sher is his blood nephew but keeps making mistakes and making him disappointed. Sher is always getting one uped by Sun, who is an adopted son of Great Khan. Great Khan calls Sher and Princess Yicheng 废物, literally meaning trash and waste many times in the drama, but he doesn't ever say that to Sun. It is also obvious Sun is a bit favored since he is so loyal and makes Khan satisfied a lot. Princess Yicheng also had been forbid to see, speak, or do anything with her son when Khan was in power. And being separated from your own son but still seeing him must be so heart-breaking. She obviously had much more suffering from what I have just listed, but these are some reasons why I felt bad for her at first. I thought what she was doing was bad but like there was a reason which was to stop her suffering from Khan and be able to interact with Sher, but that was wrong...
