Seon Yul's revenge is kind of two folds. On one hand, he actually helps Soo Hyun find out about her husband dirty secret. Her husband and the "other woman" are actually the ones who caused her pain.
Yes, rather be in pain finding out the truth than living in lies and deceits.
On the other hand, her mother and her brother in law are good people. Taking revenge out on these two would really cause pain to Soo Hyun. I don't really care about the awful mother in law anyway.

With that revelation about the real identity of woman in the pic, I think that's it. It's the point of no return between Soo Hyun and her husband. There's no way in h*ll she can forgive him this time.

Waiting for an eternity for her to reveal her identity to him. It seems the drama tries to make him falling in love with the new her. But what would be the psychological impact on him once he finds out? There was no such thing as therapy in ancient time.

I assume all C-ent actresses are under tremendous pressure to stay thin or else they'll be look and body shaming by the ever toxic fandoms.
I watch this drama with my family and every time JJY is onscreen, they keep saying "someone gives that girl a sandwich". I mean I can squeeze her waist with just one hand.

Did i compare this with that movie anywhere? I even stated in my op that I did not try to compare between the two since it's not fair. I just pointed out the same concept being used. But instead of preserving her personality, the writer/director chose to change Yang Cai Wei's personality to match Shangguan Zhi.

You have proven it's a face swap right there. She knows all those things because it's still her, Yang Cai Wei in body and soul, but with the face of Shangguan Zhi. The big problem here is, unlike Face/Off, the writer/director changed her personality (It's a big mistake IMO)

She didn't know SWZ enough. And even try to pretend, real personality should show, just same detective skills or some same verbal as before won't be enough. It was a face swap. And it was confirmed again in ep 8 when she talked to Jiang.
Anyway, people can have different interpretations of a drama. and i respect your opinions.

As someone has mentioned, this drama has the same concept as the old, popular Hollywood movie Face/Off that is still showing from time to time in the US.
Not to try to compare this drama to a Hollywood's blockbuster movie as it's unfair. But, there are few things that this drama falls short in the logic of face swap, and so, confuses some viewers IMO. It's face swap (not body or soul swap, just the face). So, first, they should have chosen actresses with similar physic. Second, the most important characteristic trace is personality. Overnight, YCW became bubbly, big contrast to her serious demeanor even if It was still her, just the face different. Unlike in face/off, after the face swap, viewers still could tell right away it's Cage's personality with Travolta's face and via versa.

She may not appear until her character has grown up into teen years, about 10 years into the drama's timeline( if the drama stays true to the story). That's why she's not the main cast I think.

She's still filming her law drama. Also, if the this drama is based exactly like the synopsis, then she won't appear much later when He Xiao He has grown up. That's why it makes sense that she is just a special appearance here.

Alibaba is so adorably clumsy around his crush, really comedic and kind of realistic in a way, a female working among males, some kind crush is going to happen.
Anyway, she's like a man among men and she ran away from home on her day off as soon as her parents mentioned marriage, so tough luck, Alibaba, even though you have your own island.
Also, I know ratings in MDL are bias and inaccurate, still, the current rating of this drama bothers me to some degree

I remember SSK in The Bride of Habaek in which there was a hot kissing scene. So, it's not like she can't kiss.

They didn't really give her a storyline. She's in every episode thus far few minutes here and there walking, talking, makes me wonder why she's even there. It’s just weird and out of place.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m a big fan of RM. She was also a guest role in a crime drama recently. Even though she was in only last 4 episodes, but her character was pure badass. Here, not so much.

I’m enjoying the drama and reading comment section. It was fun and peaceful until ….
My two cents
There is a distinction between bromance and same sex romance. The first comment seemed to imply the comments about bromance and chemistry here as same sex romance which is not true.
If you have Netflix and have watched Band of brothers, you can see truck load of bromance and chemistry between the guys. Bromance, friendship that lasted a lifetime. And that’s what we discuss here.
Saying China is not going woke because they banned “BL” is not completely true IMO. Same sex romance is a fact of life. Nothing is wrong for the entertainment industry to address that. To completely ban is to the extreme. But then again, we talk about China so no surprise.
Only when it becomes “in your face” everyday then, it’s woke.
Speaking of woke, nowhere is more woke than the US, sadly. Almost every primetime TV show has same sex relationships. Primetime TV where all US families tune in and imagine little kids watching two guys or girls kissing.

The reaction of court lady Dong after finding out MW is a she was not as explosive as some may think.
Probably she knows the King is still in love with MW whether she or he, no difference. And what good for her to reveal MW identity to the court? She may hope MW would be executed. But then the King would try with all his might to save MW.
Oh well, of all these miserable characters, she is the most miserable.

This drama was posted on X by @cdramarumours then most likely be true, since this melon only posts the most reliable rumored news. But of course the cast may change.
A good mix of non-idol and idol dramas will be good for Dylan.
