One of my fave part of this episode is Cha Se Gye telling his secretary Shin Seo ri is so understanding in addition to already being so beautiful, the faces he makes 😆 and his Secretary just going “is he not crazy?” 😂
One of the best romance series. The buildup and romance between Hu Xiu and Xiao Zhiyu came across as so natural.…
I also love the friendship between Hu Xiu & Xiao Rou 🥹 They supported each other from beginning to end and the friendship wasn’t one-sided at all. It’s so sweet
One of the best romance series. The buildup and romance between Hu Xiu and Xiao Zhiyu came across as so natural. They were both smart and cunning when need be 😂 They were just so sweet throughout and even has a whole episode in the end to just show their happy ever after.
I loved the murder mystery game concept (even if you have to suspend your disbelief at times) and how well it was incorporated into the series. Usually the game world ends up being more interesting that the real world but they found a way to keep both interesting and make the transition between the two seamless.
There was no unnecessary long misunderstanding and thus bickering at every chance, no annoying office gossipers that bully at every turn, no persistent SFL that can’t take no for an answer. Even when the SML is trying to make a move on the FL, she nipped it at the bud immediately and always kept her distance. There was no unnecessary breakup which is something I hate so much.
My only gripe with this is how close mouthed they were with their kisses. The spice was really kept to a minimum
And to think I watched the first episode and abandoned this for 10 years, only to pick it back up cause a new season was coming out.
This was absolutely brilliant and the way everything just circled back to tie the plots together at the end. Lee Jae Han is a lesson in tenacity by himself. That man does not give up and Jo Jin Woong completely owned the character (too bad he had to retire cause of his recent controversies). Lee Je Hoon and Kim Hye Soo were equally as brilliant as usual. My only major strife with this show was how easy it was for witnesses to remember events from 15-25 years ago so perfectly, and to have evidence still well intact that long to be able to close their cases. I wish they reduced the time span between the past and present to 5-10 years. It would have been more believable for me then. I don’t even know how that second season is gonna be possible without one of them.
It was an easy watch. Enjoyable enough. I liked Sooyoung prior to this but it’s my first time watching Kim Jae young. They did well with what they were given.
Everything just fell flat. The thriller, mystery, law genres this was placed under. Only the romance had some substance and even that was dragged down by everything else. Since they were going to do everything else half-assed, they could have spent more time on building the romance so at least that could be solid. They should have lingered more on his feelings developing for her (felt like a simple crush turned to gratefulness till close to the end), her feelings slowly being transformed from idolization to romantic love.
The ending of the final case does not make sense. All three witnesses just walk off after Da Wit plays that voice…
I get what you mean I was also wondering why no one was calling the judge’s attention that the case is being derailed. It was Da wit that was being sued initially but somehow the case turned into how the old men gave the Chief Justice his position and their other corruption 🤦🏾♀️
ML was okay. But his team of pro bono lawyers... A disaster. I don't think I've seen anyone more irritating than…
😩 they’re so annoying with their preachy and judgy selfs especially Nan Hui and the FL 🤦🏾♀️ At least FL has her redeeming moments where she can see the other side of the argument. Yeong sil doesn’t have the better-than-thou attitude in his human rights fight so at least we have that. Jun U just doesn’t care and he doesn’t even matter in the team anyways.
I’m on ep 8 now and 7&8 seems like the weakest so far. The case is not compelling and the characters got even more cringy and sappy in this episode. Imagine turning a courtroom to where we can just play sappy messages from fans as a lesson to the defendant 😩
I loved the reconciliation between ML & FL. It seemed realistic the way he got angry and then they took some time apart to think things through before they met again with awkwardness and now talking about things so they could understand each other
🤦🏾♀️ I really wish they won’t go the long hidden one-sided crush route with Chung Jae and Se na, but watching the ep 7 preview now and it looks like they’re gonna disappoint me. I was enjoying their found-family like relationship 😩
Both leads won major acting awards for their roles in Queen Mantis. In fact, Go Hyun-jung won SBS's Top Excellence…
I don’t doubt Go Hyun Jung’s acting skills The few series of hers I’ve watched back in the day already showed me her capabilities. I’m talking about the writing and directing of the scenes that could have been more emotional, and also the acting of Jang Dong Yoon in any scene that required him to show emotions (angry, sad, shocked, etc).
Even the actress that played him wife. Her round beautiful doe eyes were all she had to show for the most part 🤦🏾♀️
This could have been so much better with better writing and acting. The potential. Those scenes between I shin and Su Yeol could have been written and acted so much more emotional. What a waste
There were lots of jumping to conclusion during the investigations that ended up being lucky guesses. It made the mystery side not that interesting.
The shocked, crying and screaming face of Cha Su Yeol was so funny ngl 😆
The team’s reaction to finding out about Cha Su yeol’s past is so weird. Who reacts with that kind of anger especially knowing how he probably felt about his mother as a young boy then. Especially Kim Na Hui’s reaction and trying to blame him for the victim dying meanwhile she caused the death of their suspect not too long ago. Make it make sense
As expected from the cast list alone, they did not disappoint when it came to the acting. I watched this whole drama in less than 24 hours which it has been a long time I did that. I was glued all through maybe till the last 2 episodes which disappointed me a bit as the reason for the whole thing happening seemed underwhelming. The twist wasn’t twisting
The translator of this on Netflix might as well be the Statue of Liberty herself with the amount of liberty they took with the subtitles. At some points they were writing their own scripts to the series with some whole scenes where the subtitles either completely misses the mark on what was being said or leaves a lot to the desired. Very disappointing even for Netflix.
My brain spent a lot of time trying to reconcile what was actually being said with what I was reading, even with my limited Korean.

How are you enjoying Signal so far?

I enjoyed it regardless tho
