can you tell how much I love and appreciate women haha

thoughts so far:

● I absolutely loved the FL on today's episode (14), she was phenomenal. I truly believe that one of the most important things you could have in a drama that could either make or break it, is a competent female lead. And I (maybe controversially) appreciated her still refusing to call her "mother", I think it added complexity and a humanness to her. It's much more realistic than making her a compliant FL for the sake of sentimentality.. it would disrupt the continuity and be out of character.
--Idk if it's just me but seeing a likeable and otherwise perfect FL be a little flawed makes me genuinely protective of her.

● I also surprisingly really liked 2ML's sister (or whatever their relation is) I love me a period-drama female character who has complex thoughts on marriage and independence, and isn't afraid to be a little rude sometimes (in a way that only men are allowed to be)
--I really hope fans don't start to hate her or classify her as a villain GET BEHIND ME LADY (if the show actually makes her a villain, that's a different thing haha)

● I'm losing my hope for the sister getting a redemption arc and her own love story *sigh* also what's up with her mom being like "Don't become like me...a concubine" 💀I thought she was about to give her some valuable advice about being a good person but then she said concubine lmaaooo as if her mother has been treated worse than the main wife.

● This is just a little appreciation note for her personal maid. She's a martial artist and a cutie patootie, her crying in that scene had me go 'awwww!'

● As the self-proclaimed number 1 fan of ~slowburn~ I am LOVING the pacing of the romance with the ML and I appreciate that he's been liking her from afar instead of being all up in her face like 2ML

I'm not sure what you mean, when was he ever manipulative with her?

oh yeah I don't think there's anything going on with her sister and 2ML, it's just that I think it would be a nice arc if the show decides to go that route bc I saw potential in that one very small scene they had together. it would be cool if the sister starts disliking him for always taking the FL's side, while he suddenly develops a thing for her

this definitely won't be the case tho especially after what's been happening/what will happen in these episodes

same like I really couldn't care less about some evil man trying to take the throne or whatever the hell is considered major intrigue

I just need them to get married so she could move in with him and I wouldn't have to see her imbecile dad's face again

yeah there is one thing about 2ML that people are upset about (rightfully so) I don't think you're that far from reaching it, but he is an intriguing character overall, I do think he's perfect for a complex character development arc (and love story with 2FL haha but again, that's just me being delusional)

thoughts so far:

-her dad is infuriating
-her mom is too meek
-her brother's an idiot
-her sister is morally questionable but lowkey I'm hoping that she won't be fully evil bc I think she had nice chemistry with 2ML (from like the 2 seconds exchange when he gave her the handkerchief lmao ik I'm delusional but hear me out) and I'd love to see that dynamic explored, but unfortunately dramas love to pit women against each other so she'll probably become a worse person and won't get a satisfying love story
-no notes for the ML, love him, keep up the good work gorgeous
-I'm really loving the FL too. certified baddie.
- AM I THE ONLY ONE OBSESSED WITH THOSE SCENES OF THE CHARACTERS AT NIGHT WHEN THEY HAVE THEIR HAIR DOWN????? they all look so pretty (even 2ML who I don't vibe with) and even a little unrecognizable ugh I wish we'd get to see them with that hair on every scene

*yawn* the boring conversations (like the ML and that old man) are so skippable to me, only one episode a day gives me like barely half an hour of watchable content (maybe less)

not just dubbing but very badly synchronized dubbing lol. Yesterday there was a scene where the actor was obviously talking calmly but his voice actor was literally shouting xD

that sounds a little similar to kunning palace

it's alright so far. Not insanely interesting but I'd say the best cdrama airing at the moment (the competition isn't strong)

so was I tripping in the beginning and heard wrong or is the crazy manchild who's in love with the FL her uncle? cuz I'm pretty sure she called him uncle at some point??? is this a Targaryen situation?

and 2 out of the 4 characters I gave a damn about are dead, the 3rd also being "dead" but will probably show up since we didn't see a body...

I think it's because a large number of people choose to rate a drama when they're finished watching. At least that's what I do, bc it feels dishonest to give a rating without consuming the entire body of art
