When I watched BOY before when it was released, I just thought Baili Dongjun's story was a sad normal story but after rewatching it again while watching Dashing Youth at the same time, no, his story is now heartbreaking for me. How cheerful, youthful and carefree Dongjun is here in DY and how changed he was and went around looking for the Oblivion drink in BOY π how he said he lived his life in regrets
I watched TBOY and I don't remember but did Baili Dongjun end up meeting WuXin in TBOY?
I just finished rewatching but if my memory is correct. No, they didn't meet each other. Baili Dongjun scenes were from Xueyue City and Penglai Island. Both places were not visited by Wuxin.
i just browsed a Chinese website a few hours ago, if my memory serves correctly, Xiao Ruojin married Xiao Chuhe's…
Yes correct. I was just thinking if we are going to see a kid Xiao Chuhe or Xiao Chong since they're older than Xiao Yu βΊοΈ And since Chuhe is a main character from BOY, it will be great to see him here in DY
Yes, Xiao Chuhe, the 6th Prince is older than Xiao Yu, the 7th prince. There is a child actor playing little Xiao…
Ohh this too. Tang Lian wasn't shown when they went to Tang Clan. Only Tang Lianyue and the Old Master Tang. He should be a kid or almost teen by the timeline right?
No i would suggest watch this first. Its prequel. If you watch blood of youth first which is good gonna fo re-watch…
DY is the prequel of BOY. The parents of the characters in BOY are the characters here in DY like Xiao Roujin is the father of Xiao Chuhe, Sikong Changfeng is the father of Qianlou, Ye Dingzhi/Ye Yun and Wenjun are the parents of Wuxin/Ye Anshi, Lei Mengsha and Li Xinyue are the parents of Li Hanyi and Lei Wujie, etc. For Baili Dongjun, he ends up with Yue Yao. Yin Lou Xia is a different character. Yue Yao used Yin Lou Xia name to hide her identity. Yue Yao in BOY is already dead so I guess she will die at the end of DY (or not). The real Yin Lou Xia becomes one of the elders in Xueyue City shown in BOY which Sikong Changfeng, Baili Dongjun and Li Hanyi are the three lords.
Hmm I know there's a weird timeline problem with DY and BOY, but if Wenjun is pregnant as shown in the teaser, does it mean Xiao Chong and Xiao Chuhe are already born? Because aren't they older than Xiao Yu (Wenjun and Roujin's son)?
I'm rewatching BOY while waiting for DY new eps and I found a very little error in the stories lol (more like…
In BOY, when Lei Wujie (Lei Mengsha & Li Xinyue's son) visited Sword Heart Tomb, his grandfather told him the story of how his parents met. His grandpa said, Lei Mengsha together with Baili Dongjun went to Sword Heart where Lei met his wife. BUT in DY, Lei and Li are already husband and wife before Lei met Dongba π I haven't read novels (if there is) so this is just what I have found out while watching both dramas simultaneously. Not really a big deal but it just amazes me how writers wrote these dramas esp when the sequel came out first, good dramas!
I'm rewatching BOY while waiting for DY new eps and I found a very little error in the stories lol (more like a timeline - commented below) but anyway, I just want to say how good and interesting both dramas are. For those who have watched BOY, some of us might feel a bit scared of what happens to the characters here and those who chose to watch this first is in for a good sequel waiting after this. This drama is so good!
Okay that's it. I will rewatch this because DY got me hooked lol I already forgot most things from BOY (I seldom rewatch dramas, the cdramas I ever rewatched were Loveo2o and Go Ahead) and I know BOY is a good drama because I do remember dramas that are unexpectedly good
I know this is the prequel of The Blood of Youth but since I've watched that kinda long ago, I already forgot it π Do I need to rewatch it to understand this prequel or this is a totally separate story with the cast being the "prequel"?
I just finished the drama. I like ZJM and ZLH, and no offense to the other actors and actresses but the way their characters are written are honestly a bit questionable including the turn of events. Writer's fault, I guess. Anyway, I don't have much to say but my disappointment about the last episode being mostly dedicated to SRQ. It was so dramatic ugh. We didn't even get to see a grand wedding or the children. It was all about LR power and her 17-year entanglement with SRQ. I felt bad for PWX character. He was highly capable on the first episodes but suddenly gone. ML getting a bit more of his usual screentime on ep 40 π₯ Great, congrats to the ML hahaha
Don't say that, or you will be bombarded by LR supporters who think that to have a strong FL, she must always…
Lol hahaha I laughed at that last sentence but that's the problem tho, I've seen some Cdramas with good FL characters but this one, yes LR is strong in politics, she is good at plotting but she is indecisive in relationships. People might think she doesn't trust others easily but it's not the case. She trusts easily whomever she wants to trust that's why she is so indecisive and gets hurt easily. About her having choices, she already picked PWX so that means she already dropped the other option which she doesn't do, yes? Hahahaha I haven't read the novel but just basing on the drama, the ML doesn't feel like ML but rather what we call "FL's bestfriend character" hahahaha they showed him equally great as the FL in terms of intelligence but he's only shown most of the times to serve as the "jealous husband" when SRQ is around and say sweet words. Anyway, still finishing this just to know how it ends π€·π½ββοΈ
I just reached half of ep 33. It's a mistake I read a comment before starting this because it kind of influence my thinking of how LR kept on going to SRQ. So who really is the ML/SML here? Because I'm confused. In this life, LR loves PWX but can't let go of her feelings for SRQ. It's like an emotional cheating while watching this show π€ kinda annoys me for many times now. And now I'm seeing some spoils that LR suddenly puts her trust back to SRQ. Watched this bc of ZJM and ZLH & bc this is one of the popular shows now alongside The Double
Many thanks to those who encouraged me to watch a few more episodes after I commented I couldn't finish the first…
It's the same for me. Usually I get hooked at the ep 1 of dramas but this one, the plot confused me even until ep 3 but around that episode, while it is confusing, it is also getting interesting. So I continued to watch and now on ep 8, I'm now liking it π
I'm glad to watch this! I don't know why a lot of comments says it's bad. Glad I didn't check the comments but proceed to just watch it.
It's an easy watch. There are ofc unnecessary parts but lots of cdramas have those (that's why I learn the power of fast forwarding) but still this is an interesting, fun and sweet watch. The characters are mature when it comes to work. The FL isn't cringe (it is her acting on the first few eps) and you will know why. She will stop doing that around ep 7 or 8. They have misunderstandings, yes, because it's both their first relationship, but everything gets resolved fast. All in all, a good watch if you're after something light and short
