Had a break watching cdramas for weeks and saw these recent dramas releases (my fav genre finally) so I'm gonna watch this weekend but anyone who is kind enough to explain how is this different or related to Sword and Fairy 4? Why do they have same title? Thanks a lot!!
This was good but it could have been better as there are many times I was confused. First part was good and interesting but the ending, it kind of feels rushed. Also, the plot of reincarnation/time travel made me a bit confused. FL time traveled to future but hints of reincarnation for the ML happens but was dismissed to just memories of another man from another time which was the usual reincarnation ingredient. Same man + same name + same memories = reincarnation but they made it ML past & ML new as separate persons which was confusing bc tbh it would have been easy to digest if ML new was a reincarnation of ML past & FL time travelling without reincarnating is just a continuation of their story from past to present. They made it too confusing so now it feels like they did the ML past the 2ML in this story for having unrequited love to FL but never received the love bc ML new is the ML. That's why to me, this could have been a better written story but it is still interesting. Comedy is okay but like others, the way the FL and 2nd couple female were easy to accept the modernisation is a bit weird. I get the clothes bc FL was not conservative in making her clothes but other things? Buildings and modern technology doesn't seem to bother them. The adaptability was too fast lol but well this is a drama and a 12-ep drama at that so those things were easy to set aside. Anyway, this is an okay drama. For me this is good and watchable but not highly recommendable 👍
What's with the comments? Why is there a lot of fighting between dramas rather than discussions of the episodes? 😅 The dramas mentioned are different from one another anyway. As someone who really loved AJTL, this drama and AJTL doesn't even have similarities in plots for ppl to compare? Also ALP, has it's own charm. Even tho ALP was shown years before, I can still remember how great the visual effects of that drama bc it's more on the God and wars settings and it is also a good drama.
But this drama is also good. No need to compare. Both leads are doing well. I even got teary eyed in the ep 37 teaser, means to show atleast for me, the two leads are good in acting! Anyway, back to plot. I am so satisfied of how YQ and AG confronted HS lol so much for confidence, she really needs to learn her place esp her father. Also the Aunt from Qing Chi Palace lol can't wait for the next episodes when she knew who Feng Yin really is!
THIS drama is just about regretting past decisions. While the characters in this drama got their second chance,…
Reading this comment reminded me of another drama SOT where FL tries to correct her mistakes. I also hope lessons like this becomes valuable to viewers because second chance is really hard to come by
Wow. I was having second thoughts on whether to watch this bc of it's kind of similarities with SOKP and how the comments say the ending should have been on ep 29. But for me, this is a really good drama! Ep 30 was a twist you won't always see on cdramas bc of the plot and the usual HE or open ending viewers want. Ep 30 was a real lesson for everyone 👍 Life doesn't always work the way we think about it. That's what it felt like in the drama. I hope people would see the drama or any dramas in general as a whole and it's valuable lessons/ whatever message they would want to portray and not only for the entertainment purposes which ofc is its primary purpose. For the lack of skinship, it really didn't bother me bc what I look forward the most was the plot and how she would reverse the things she did before and how those things would result in another events. Also the cast did good. I love Zhou Ye in here! This is a really good drama, I'm glad I didn't set any expectations
1. For me it is a sad ending but it depends on how you take it. Some says it is a happy or open ending, but the…
Some viewers take the part where everyone got reunited in heaven or in some paradise as the happy ending, kind of like peace because they finally do not need to fight and risk themselves for war as they have also achieved peace for central plains by their sacrifices
Look up there in the topic section. There is a topic that tells you the characters from ALP and what their names…
Thanks. Tbh, I'm using the MDL app so discussions section does not show on mine (or is it just me but yeah I couldn't find it) I had to search this drama on browser to see the discussions 😊 Bc lots of people usually point ppl like me to discussion to check details but not everyone can see it but thanks a lot, it was really helpful to remove my confusion 😅
I started this drama and heard this was related to Ancient Love Poetry but from the characters I have seen so far (ep 6) only Gu Jin is from there as Yuan Qi? oh and Donghua. But even the names of his parents why isn't it familiar, shouldn't it be Hou Chi and Bai Jue? or I missed something. Even the other characters doesn't exist during ALP but has memories of the destruction before (forgive me I forgot a lot of things from ALP) so I'm confused 😅 like who is goddess Yihe? doesn't seem to exist in the ALP but on one part I remember she will be mad if Gu Jin got hurt so I thought was Yihe his mother but she isn't. But yeah, will continue to watch this and see things
before starting this drama I had asked how this drama was compared to SOKP...most of the comments said it was…
To each their own 😊 I also like SOKP but this one is top notch well made drama that for me it is better. Every single detail from the title to the intro and outro were related to the plot of this drama. The ending might not be to the viewer's liking and the journey might be boring to some but it's exactly the plot is. It is a JOURNEY so the story would focus on their story whilst on the Journey not only to rescue the emperor but also them finding themselves, friendship, love, loyalty, strength, sacrifices and the lessons they learn throughout their entire journey. It was deep and as viewer I felt more part of their drama than me watching SOKP (which have a separate charm) so it really is to each their own 😊
Somebody enlighten me, who is that young guy riding the white horse at the end. He said his name but that didn't…
It's Ning Shisan with him taking the surname Ning from NYZ and Shisan from YSS but this is really something up for viewer's interpretation bc some says Chu Yue saw the child 10 years later bc she was already dying. This is why she went with the kid to their "house" where she also saw everyone riding horses 😊 it was her "peace"
I just realized the last part (drawing) of the intro was them before their deaths. Qian Zhao (fighting scene),…
Oh wow! that really is beautiful and fitting bc the last episodes was really a testament to every character's sacrifices for their country (not only the leads but also the characters which were seldom seen like the empress, prime minister and etc)
Feel free to spoil me.1. Happy ending? 2. What happened to Perincess YY? Did she get a happy ending? 3. What happened…
1. For me it is a sad ending but it depends on how you take it. Some says it is a happy or open ending, but the ending for me is just a proof that it ended sadly but wanted to give peace to the viewers (like let them see that their deaths were worth it) and that's okay. Again, it is how you take it 😊 3. Yang Ying married LTG, she said even if times would past and she already have grandchildren, she would still remember Yuan Lu (I guess remember everyone too) but Ru Yi left LTG final words of taking care of Yang Ying so I guess even if they didn't end up with their loved ones and was left, they would have grown to be a strong couple bc their characters have grown (esp her, she has the best character growth) 3. LTG stopped his obsession at the end but ofc if you can see he still like Ru Yi. He also doesn't hate NYZ anymore, he doesn't even want to disappoint him and called him Master/Boss Ning/Brother Ning at the end. As I said, Ru Yi's last words to him was to take care of Yang Ying. He and Yang Ying married for the sake of peace and cooperation but even so, he treats Yang Ying with respect and like a martial sister (Ru Yi as their master) 4. Yes. Six Realm Hall brothers, NYZ and Ru Yi died
I am rewatching and I just realized something lol spoiler below
I just realized the last part (drawing) of the intro was them before their deaths. Qian Zhao (fighting scene), Sun Lang (using his weapon to help Shisan) and look at the arrows in the drawing, Shisan (covered eyes before his last fight), Yuan Lu (running position bc he exhausted everything to send the message), Ning Yuan Zhou (kneeling position, his last scene) and Ru Yi (last battle before her assassinating the enemies). The last drawing in the intro already foretold the ending, how sly is this drama 🤔 lol hahahaha but I'm gonna rewatch, pain all over again
I have finished the drama but wanted to take some time to calm before I comment here. I have been watching cdramas for years (more on wuxia/xianxia genre) so I had fair shares of dramas with sad endings. But this one really hit me hard. Besides historical dramas, I also like slice of life genre which means drama that includes things like friendship, romance and here including politics. So finding this drama is like a gem. To be honest, with the tone of this drama and how they made us fall in love with the characters, I already got scared that this will end up as a sad ending. I just don't want to accept it bc I really like all of them 🥺 First off, even though it ended not really what the fans wanted, I can say that this is still a really well made drama (but scriptwriter why are u so bloodthirsty lol). My view of how good this drama didn't change. Lots of growth happened towards the end of drama which I hope some viewers could still see despite the sad ending. The young ones, Yang Ying, Tong Guang and Chu Yue's contribution towards the end had such a huge impact and is a commendable growth from being a weak princess, an obsessed & stubborn disciple and a hot tempered princess.
As for my beloved characters, the leads although they didn't end up happy found themselves along the way, along this Journey. They found true love. Their sacrifices and willingness to be together, their understandings and similarities really made them a perfect couple. For the most loved gang, their brotherhood is really top notch. The loyalty and love for each other is there. Imagine Yuan Lu, doing everything he can to run fast for Shisan while Shisan made him go away to save him. Qian Zhao and Sun Lang (man I cried hard when Sun Lang said he wanted to touch something fluffy, I ugly cried like hell), their sacrifices towards peace regardless of how mad Qian Zhao was towards the emperor, he still chose peace and everyone over his own agenda. The Wu emperor who fought alongside with them (what a growth right?!) not minding his death and even leaving his will for the benefit of his country and not for personal agenda (like only leaving the throne to his child bc he doesn't like his brother). The prime minister and the Wu empress who stepped down from the battle of politics to prioritize peace and the wellness of the people. And so much more. Deng Hui, who have also joined in the battle for his loyalty to his country and people. You see how many people have changed and have goodness stilled in their hearts towards the end bc they knew that peace and the people, the bigger picture is more important. (So yes, I really hate the 2nd prince of An and the An emperor)
Yes, it was such a huge sacrifice but a high price to achieve peace. If peace can only happen easily, the world would have been such a better place. Anyway, it was an amazing drama full of love, friendship and has displayed such great strength for each character. Very well made characters, great cinematography, good fighting scenes, and amazing OST!! Can I just say how I love the intro song by Liuning 👏 Overall such a great drama, a real great ender for year 2023. I hope this drama gets popular and that people wouldn't mind too much of the sad ending but rather the journey they had that made it such a good drama. It's title was really a journey (to death) lol hahaha it's really a journey that has taught us and made us felt like we were with them 😊
I don't know how I can start another one. I usually have an ongoing drama (or a next drama) with me but idk it feels heavy to watch something, maybe in a few days lol also reason I'm okay with sad endings with these type of dramas bc I do kind of relate what I watch in some reality like in life, there will be up and downs, there will be deaths and there will be goodbyes 😅
If some of you will be asking if this is worth to watch despite the ending, YES it still is 😊
I'm still stuck at ep 35, I can't continue so I'm just gonna comment. I cried how many times in just 1 ep. And as I saw in other comments it will be like that til the end 😭 I'm okay with some sad endings but Six Realm Hall has been close to my heart, like I would even rewatch their scenes.
Will they drop an express for this? Usually it's a 6 ep package right so it means if they do, all eps should be out bc I can't wait anymore lol I don't want to wait for pain, i can smell sadness 😭😭😭
