Meng Na should avoid bubbly character.

I watched this drama since i quite enjoy Chen Si Meng Na collaboration but i choose the wrong side for watching this drama. Meng Na didn't suit bubbly sunny persona it feels awkward when i watch this. Chen Si is playing mute CEO (i am quite tired seeing his CEO role) and the emotional depth between the leads far worse than previous collaboration. If they got chance to collaborate again, they should avoid this type of drama. Waste of their skills. I always want to dropped this drama hard and ended up fast forwarding instead.

Come and Hug Me but less melodramatic element.

I watched this drama last year and felt familiar with this plot and it feels like K-Drama "Come and Hug Me" specifically about childhood sweetheart reunited with the son of a serial killer and the daughter of a victim. Main difference in K-drama are ML was a pilot not a detective and no melodramatic element in this drama. I liked the slice of life approach on this drama since they prefer show reflection of the complex spectrum of human nature. Xie Yu Wang and Zhang Shan have excellent looks and physiques, and a certain chemistry that you can help and nodded when they are together.

FL struggles with post-traumatic stress disorder and PTSD, achieving some success, though not a complete cure, but she faces life with a positive attitude and becomes actress. To prepare her role for her upcoming movie, FL studies flight technology at an airline, where she reunites with the ML. Both experience a simple, honest, and instinctive reaction. ML conscience about his father sin and bringing his guilt when he faced FL was quite decent. FL approach to ML by standing together despite the past was quite nice. The relationship pace between the leads are quite logical and natural.

Villains are also well-developed and not one-dimensional. The plot details are generally reasonable. The part about the ML transitioning from a military pilot to civilian aviation is foreshadowed and hinted at through his uncle's adoption, name change, and historical erasure, which is a good approach.

Recommended when you want to seek trauma healing for the broken leads.

Long Xi performance was the drama saver.

I watched this for Li Lei but ends up liking Long Xi performance in this drama. She excels the acting and personally i quite like her performance based for all adaptation i watch and FL in this version is independent, clear-headed, intelligent, and strong.
She is not too passive like the other version. There is no sex scene, but it is still quite good due Li Lei and Long Xi chemistry.
The problem in this drama was Li Lei and Wang Lin acting were quite not really good and it feels they are just eye candy for the drama. The sudden ending left me feeling unsatisfied. This is first version and the plot was not quite plausible to watch. I only recommended this drama if you are hardcore fans of the actors.

For the plot and chemistry, this one are the best adaptation.

I actually watched this drama last year but i remember when i watched another recent adaptation that didn't meet my expectation. I declare this to be the most complete version of character development! Especially the warlord CEO, he finally feels like a person, with "humanity". The chemistry between Zhang Xuan and Chen Linmiao were great.

Zhang Xuan's nuanced performance in here gives ML enough humanity: the unintentional awkwardness when approaching FL, the deliberate display of his cloth shoes and scarf when he's smitten, and the confident stride up the steps in the final episode when he proposes, all while secretly stumbling with nervousness.

Cheng Linmiao, is a stunning beauty I recently discovered; her looks and figure are top-notch in my eyes. The styling and costumes in this drama suited her perfectly, but compared to the ML's acting and Long Xi's portrayal of Xu Bai. She stills need to catch up the acting skills.

The plot was quite well-written with no plot hole. People prefer Li Ruoxun version but personally i liked this drama since the chemistry between the leads were right to me and ML is more realistically portrayed by Zhang Xuan.

Recommended to watch.

Treat this as NPC drama

I watched this last year and this is the most recent drama from Zhang Jinyi and Lu Huanyu. For me this drama is ultimately for hardcore fans and CP fans. It was pretty mediocre.

Plot is about FL is controlled and manipulated by her uncle, but she endures her suffering to avenge her parents. ML is the weapon she lured into her life, wielding immense power. The beginning of the plot is very engaging; FL's appearance playing the piano is stunning. Plus, she gets two kills right at the start. However, the subsequent plot weakens. ML is overly enthusiastic, while the FL seems to be taking things too hard. She uses ML as a tool, but her methods of revenge are not satisfying to watch. With sufficient evidence, she could have easily caught and killed the bad guys, but she went through all that trouble for using inefficient method.

The costumes and props are good, and the plot is another Good Girl adaptation, but the story is poorly written. FL's initial portrayal of a villain is quite compelling, but she becomes less so later, becoming rather mediocre and flat.

Like the ending, Yang Luo Qian and Chen Zheng Yang delivers their role.

I watched this drama and surprisingly i liked this drama despite how infuriating the plot was. Yang Luo Qian loves this script since most of her dramas i watch are FL was being hurt by scumbag. But this drama showcase her acting more than her previous drama.

From FL's perspective, the story shows ML repeatedly abandoning her for SFL and their child.

Plot is about FL tries every means to get a divorce, ML always finds various excuses to disagree. FL discovers she's pregnant, but by then she's already given up on him, so she has an abortion and insists on a divorce (quite controversial but i prefer her to abort the baby, if she keep the baby ML would be manipulated her again). ML finally confesses to her that he and SFL are innocent, and that the child isn't his. However, the damage has already been done, and FL doesn't forgive him. ML realizes his mistakes and ultimately chooses to let go. It's a classic case of regret from scumbag. But the difference in this drama, there is no SML to 'heal' FL. FL is doing this alone by herself. Although FL is indeed deeply hurt and evokes sympathy, she remains clear-headed and resolute throughout, determined to get a divorce without any wavering, which is quite satisfying to watch.

Chen Zheng Yang was really ultimate scumbag in here, i hated him in here. Even though ML really loves ML emotional infidelity was unacceptable. From the very beginning, when ML abandoned FL for the 'test' to pick up SFL FL refused to accept it. If FL had tolerated it this time, what awaited her was being morally blackmailed and forced to tolerate ML's behavior in every way. These low-down behaviors of the ML are no better than physical infidelity. The only redeeming point from ML, he is not abusing SFL and the child like another type of this drama. All the misunderstandings were his own doing, and ML deserves the consequences.

Overall only recommended for Hardcore fans

The main appeal in this drama was noir effect and chemistry between the leads

I watched this because of Song Yujia. The chemistry between her and Shu Tong was good and this drama slightly giving noir effect when i watched this remind me of watching old soap opera about infidelity and this is the appeal of this drama.

The plot was quite neat but the ML character was walking red flag and he only got flings about FL never truly loves her, ML initially guides FL to discover her fiancé's infidelity, taking advantage of the situation and forcing her to sign an agreement. However, ML avoids the issue when the FL clarifies their relationship. ML's also hypocritical, having a wife and ex-girlfriend while FL can't eat with his brother and he doesn't give her any status. Even when the "white moonlight" (his love interest) tries to kill FL, he lets her go.

Song Yujia's character in this drama is very traditional; she always feels she provoked ML, and he helps her, with a strong aura—a very realistic character. The younger brother, on the other hand, is quite sunny, honest, and sincere. If the FL hadn't ignored the ML in the first episode, and it's feared his competitive spirit wouldn't have been ignited, none of this would have happened.

Worth to watch if you like noir type of drama.

Plot felt into generic short drama.

I was initially trying to avoid this drama, but this drama probably has a large audience, given the handsome and beautiful leads, the excessive promotion between Chen Minghao and Cao Saiya (i heard they become real CP after this drama) that worth to watch if you want to see more steamy kisses and semi-erotic scene.

Plots starts with the SML making sarcastic remarks to his friends, saying FL isn't worthy of marrying him. FL unsurprisingly, overhears this outside the door, leading to a breakup. SML declares, "She can't live without me," and ML successfully takes her in (Oh my god, i already done with this generic story-teller). The premeditated plot unfolds as planned. FL mistaking the male lead for ML, arrives as planned. A one-night stand occurs as planned. Both are virgins. SML hasn't touched FL in four years (Another generic one). Then comes the arrival of a seriously ill mother, a gambling father, a pitiful woman, and a snobbish colleague. ML is like a human teddy bear, always ready to kiss her in the elevator, office, and even the bathroom. SMLis like he has a GPS tracker on FL. FL intelligence is questionable. If ML had arrived a little later, this could have been a reincarnation drama. 3ML is all talk and no action; when it comes to self-interest, everyone is inferior.

The most annoying part in this drama SML didn't receive any punishment at all, which was ridiculous. The fact that he had to come out and disgust people at the wedding was nice, but because of the frustrating plot, it felt like a sweet treat mixed with staleness.

Only for hardcore fans

Liked the emotional approach in this drama

Actually i watched this last year because of Wang Nan. I quite familiar with Li Sheng Nan face since most of her old drama i watched on dramabox and i liked her acting but her script are basically damsel in distress FL. Both leads are delivers their character into a life. I know this version wont be people favorite but i personally hold this drama even it was not perfect but based from emotion depth this version wins.

This version finally captures the essence: ML's deep, restrained affection over many years, finally reaching the moment he can openly and forcefully possess FL. The emotional entanglements are depicted more delicately, and the character of the SML is more compelling.

SML's actions and words are also more logical in this version. He didn't relay FL's brother's message about "taking care" of the FL; it was the her brother's own decision. He didn't directly kidnap the FL; he rescued her from the kidnappers and then imprisoned her—but this still caused harm and remains unforgivable act for sure.

In the end, SML admitted that SML had previously kept the FL like a caged bird, loving her and not wanting her to escape his control. Initially, SML did indeed treat FL as a substitute for his ideal woman, only slowly realizing his love after she left.

Recommended if you want to see more emotional driven drama.

Stellar concept with average chemistry

I watched this last week since i want to find non romance focused drama and i am already make the recap of this drama. I quite like this non-conventional drama that focused on action and superpower on Female-oriented drama. (This type of drama mostly found on Male-oriented drama).

FL is possessing superpowers, transmigrates from a post-apocalyptic world to a new one. She has maxed-out skills and powerful abilities, making everyone except the minor villains a pushover. ML is a powerful but powerless figure who is curious about the FL early on and actively protects her. He adheres to the principle that one's status is determined by oneself, acting first and informing later, and manipulating FL to advance his career. The ending sees them getting married, but their romance doesn't progress much from the entire time.

The chemistry between Ma Lejie and Xiao Wenyu is average. FL's dim-witted family and fiancé are also quite annoying, appearing frequently. The main issue is that even after FL demonstrates her powerful abilities, they still constantly provoke her, which is illogical and generic formula from usual short drama. Personally for this genre, male-oriented drama stills win since I saw bullets and shells flying around, I knew the director had never handled guns before. And other details. The big boss appears but then disappears without a trace.

There is much things that unresolved on this drama and i still waiting for the season 2.

It's watchable, but not really recommended if you look for pure romance.

Extremist Tsundere Younger Brother ML

I watched this for Wang Xuan and i prefer this drama than the drama with Zhao Zhendong. The chemistry between Wang Xuan and Cui Shiyi were on fire, Cui Shiyi kissing skill were elevated and they have real Older woman/Younger brother vibe.

ML can't be touched by anything, but once he's with his favorite older sister aka FL, he becomes spineless like jelly when he near FL To get FL's attention, he did everything. ML always breaks up FL numerous relationships, eliminates villains who threaten FL, feigns weakness to get a job and becomes FL assistant, ML even broke his own leg, ML is really ruthless to himself.

FL never loses to everyone so you can watch this without getting blood tension high. FL even assume ML wants to search his love but never notice his feeling to her.

The cons is almost everyone around FL were questionable, they always giving FL bad solution for her problem. And the manager drug her to make her happy, like what kind of mushroom did you eat to have stupid logic like that.

Recommended to watch.

The only Yulong CP drama i ever finished.

Well this is only one Yulong CP drama i ever to finish (I watched it around 2024 and the short drama was not many choice like now). I quite like the plot about killer FL who got amnesia and ML was told to give up FL since she having no memories about him. The chemistry was okay since this story can match the CP vibes but the character development wasn't not good and felt stagnant. Only for hardcore CP fans.

It was rare to see Elder Romance on short drama

I watched this on Dramabox back then and it was rare to have elder romance drama since most of people was quite uncomfortable with this theme (I have watched countless drama with same theme on J Drama and there is nothing wrong to get elder romance, I quite like J-Drama Second Chance to Last Love for one example).

It was actually decent for short drama level and the plot was generic rich man with poor woman together for fake marriage. But the kissing scene was quite safe and the couple has chemistry which is quite better to look. It feels this drama was like test water for this genre.

Only recommended if you can tolerate elder romance.

Relationship development was too slow but the ending was like a flash

I've binged watching Zhang Jinyi drama again since her recent drama with Li Zhuoyang make me cheek crammed for too much smiling and search the drama that i haven't watch and i never realized Huang Youtian has collaborated with her (I rarely check his drama since he is more into ancient than modern) and i was happy to check this drama. Both of actor have CP vibe and i hope they can collaborate on modern drama.

Let's recap this drama: they have 97 episodes: 1 episode on the past life, 3 episodes on revenge, 3 episodes on political intrigue. FL luring ML for 90 episodes. Although the plot is thin and the relationship development was too slow, it's surprisingly not boring at all. Just watching gorgeous leads in love is very satisfying. FL is quite busy, responsible for "fishing," political intrigue, and revenge, while ML is very idle, only responsible for being flirted with. From initially being stubborn but soft-hearted, he eventually can't wait for the FL to give him a title. Although the entire series is relatively clean (passionate scenes only exist in the ML's mind).

The cons is the costume was not nice and ML hairdo was bizzarre at the 10 episodes and the political intrigue was too simple. The ending was like flash since they packed the ending in 3 episodes.

If you're looking for revenge or political intrigue, this drama might disappoint you. But if you want to see a handsome man and beautiful woman having a sweet romance, then don't hesitate to watch it—you won't be disappointed.

Even Zhang Jinyi couldn't save this drama

I watched this because of Zhang Jinyi sake only and the cast point solely for her but her voice actor has soul and i prefer her original voice. I will make statement: Xie Hongxin can't act despite his longer experience than most of short drama actor i know, he needs biggest improvement since most of all his show with many different kind of FL was always carried by actress; he appears wooden and dull in this drama, although the kissing scenes are technically skillful and intense. The chemistry in this drama was completely off.

The plot cannot aim lofty theme, simple rebirth premise is sufficient.. Even after the ML and FL clear up their misunderstandings and unite in their resistance, they are clearly outmatched, with the SML and SFLs constantly causing trouble. ML and FL know the plot's development but lack strategy and fail to prepare defenses beforehand; if it weren't for the SFL's betrayal, they would likely have died at the Crown Prince's hands. Therefore, the drama's satisfying moments of punishing the villains are lacking; watching the ML and FL always feels powerless, fearing defeat. The part where they confessed their feelings and then each tried to call off the engagement was really unnecessary and felt so weak.

The only good thing is Zhang Jinyi carried the entire drama even though its not enough. Avoid at cost.
