I guess we have similar taste when it comes to slow romance plots. MLN 's pacing is something I am really impressed with. It's on the slower side, but not boring at all, something many slowburners miss, I think it's pacing is just perfect, justifying the storyline.
In terms of the vibe, it gives quite similar vibe, but the storyline is entirely different, so is the pacing. One common element is that both shows makes us wait eagerly for the main 2 characters to meet and have scenes together all episodes long. It makes us feel like "When they are gonna meet again in this episode, I can't wait", kinda like that. It's been the case for me with every episodes of both MLN and My Mister. My mister has a lot more characters outside the main 2 leads, they are also very interesting and significant amount of screentime has been invested in them, and they are all crucial to the story. MLN on the other had has relatively fewer characters, but they got pretty much equal screen-time, as all 4 of them are main roles. And also, as someone already said, My Mister is a lot more depressing and you will feel sharp pain in your heart here and there. There are elements of betrayal by someone close and it really creates these painful feelings inside you. It's one of the reasons I won't ever forget My Mister. BUT, there's comradery, brotherhood, great friendship and also great loyalty in some characters. It's a mixed bag , A Very Good One at that. MLN, to me feels like a gentle breeze, with tapping pressure here and there, and time just flows when I watch it.
Seeing new comments on how Mr. Gu and MJ don’t have chemistry got me shocked😵💫I felt the most chemistry…
There chemistry is very subtle and not the usual fluffy type that some k-drama lovers are used to seeing in other shows. I love it, cause, it's a type of chemistry that make you pine for more, you keep waiting for this two to have a scene all episode long. Generally, I get bored if there's too much cutey-cute scenes and cheesy lines going on. I prefer it this way, especially for a show like this, it's perfect.
So our Mr Gu used to be a CEO in real life of a company called GOMT, a machine tool manufacturing company. He then left to fully focus on acting apparently.
Oh next time when seeing the title screen with cartoon han byeol mopping up stars, pay attention to the little…
Yeah. I think the name of this show has dual meaning. It means both shooting stars and also Sh**tting stars, depending on the context, I suppose, like the celebrities are pooping with scandals and stuff and the background crew has the clean them.
I'll be Honest. When I first saw the name of the show, I didn't think it was "Shooting" stars. I think I am not the only one, at least I hope so lol. Anyway, started watching this, on 1st episode. Hope it's good.
Well, Ep 12 was sad and kinda cathartic at the same time. It was bound to happen between the two, and I would've been mad if it had happened at ep 15, or worse yet at ep 16. Good for the storyline that it happened now rather than later. Now there's enough time for those two to figure things out, 4 episodes left, that's enough time. This show is just GREAT.
You can check out his other works too. The range he has is no joke. I first saw him as the Bad Guy in Mother in…
Do check it out, it's a good show, I would say in some parts it felt like too much in terms of storyline and became somewhat repetitive and annoying in some parts (My opinion just). But, overall it's a very good show, and Mr Gu's character is incredibly charming and his uncanny chemistry with Jeon Yeobin (FL from Vincenzo) is what really makes the highlights for the last few episodes.
They go to Africa to work with children and making documentary about them. They decide to meet in Morocco, they probably end up together in the end, based on how it was going, but the show doesn't show that, it was an open ending for the couple.
Our Mr. Gu appeared as a guest role in ep 10. After that From ep 12-16 I think he appeared in every episode as a support role. Quite glad they turned his guest role into a support role, that was a good move by the showmakers. His and Jeon Yeo bin's chemistry was pretty much the highlights of the show in the last 3-4 episodes. The scenes were short, but really good.
So, while waiting for the next MLN episode, I started watching Be Melodramatic, finished it in 3 days (Need to get a life at this point). I didn't know our beloved Mr. Gu (Son Seok Koo) had a role in the drama, it came pretty late in the series, but even with such a small role I was really mesmerized by his character and acting. It was so unorthodox and charming, just like in MLN. I suppose studying acting in the US for 10 years have added to the charisma his characters portray in general. Dude knows how to act.

My dude just keeps surprising.
Anyway, started watching this, on 1st episode. Hope it's good.
So, after 2016, finally we are seeing him as the main lead. Best of wishes.

That's some way to confess
