Instead of forcing qin to answer duang wants qin to tell about it, duang always respects qin boundaries, so he…
That's a nice way to see it, but that isn't what I felt when I watched. Simply asking a question isn't crossing boundaries or forcing anything. That's just how communication works in a healthy relationship. Which is what Duang and Quinn had, up until about halfway through episode 7. *sigh* Well, as long as it's resolved quickly.
I guess I knew there'd have to be conflict, but an old one sided crush? And he's going to try to take Qinn away from Duang? It's just so... childish. Qinn isn't a toy to be won. I'm really not into this sort of plot. It's kind of insulting, because up until now they had great communication, but as soon as Duang stopped talking to Qinn (when he saw the message from Tiw) things started going downhill. It's like the writers threw away Duang's entire character that we've seen in the last 6 episodes. He was always so open with Qinn, that was part of why I liked this show. There weren't any problems caused by lack of communication. But now here we are. Doing the same boring plot devices that every other BL does.
I was enjoying the emotion and tension of episode 6, all the way up to when they kissed. The loud soundtrack totally ruins it. I have to mute it. Why do so many BLs feel like they have to have the show's theme song (or similar) blaring? Sorry for the rant, I'm just annoyed because the lead up was very good and I had high hopes then suddenly "IT HAD TO BE YOUUUUU YOUUUUU"
I'm 4 episodes in and liking the show, but what's up with Jisoo's eyebrows? They change color constantly, even in the same scene. It's only on her, not the other characters. I think they use a really strong filter on her face or something and it sort of erases the eyebrows. It's very distracting. Maybe I'm the only one to notice it, lol.
I went into this not expecting much, but I ended up binging episodes 1-5. It's way more heartfelt than I thought it would be. I'm actually so nervous for whenever Pai ends up finding out. It'll crush him, and he doesn't seem like the sort to forgive something so huge. But hopefully he will, this has to be a happy ending right?
i feel like maybe im too old for this kind of drama (im almost 25 ðŸ˜ðŸ˜) and this is by far the most cringe…
Yeah, this sort of show isn't normally my thing either and honestly at first I was planning to drop it. It's really hard to do the cringy golden retriever character well, I've given up on soooo many shows because they're too goofy. But TeeTee got it right, and I keep coming back and rooting for him.
I've really been loving this show. 12 episodes in, and I'm not bored at all. I don't see any filler, and I'm looking forward to each new episode. My only teeny tiny complaint is that I wish we'd see more of the ex. I think it's coming up soon though, since we had that little talk in the restaurant with Hong's old boss, about not seeing someone clearly.
"...but don't you dare disrespect your father." Cracks me up that your first thought is incest when hearing…
Okay, thanks I don't usually watch intros unless I like the song. Anyway, like I said before, the whole scene just gave me weird vibes. The dialog, and the way Po smirked. There's been a few weird "fake family to lovers" shows recently, maybe that's why my mind went there. I'm glad to be wrong.
"...but don't you dare disrespect your father." Cracks me up that your first thought is incest when hearing…
The exact quote in English from iQIYI is "Who the hell did you sleep with? Can I ask you something? Do whatever you want but don't mess with you dad okay?"
The word disrespect would change it entirely, but that's not what it says for me. If this is just a translation error, that's good. But the way it's written, and the way Po smirks, it was sus. Also, did we see the dad in this episode?
I watched the first episode out of boredom after reading some comments... People were saying it's like softcore porn, and now I'm laughing because I think people are very sheltered. Only one scene is even a little graphic. Another scene is cut short, literally just a few quick cuts of some light touching before it's interrupted. And there's a fade to black scene, which is like PG level. There's no plot so I was at least expecting some effort would go into the NC scenes, but they're not great. I hated My Stubborn, but at least the sex scenes in that show were hot.
Also, can anyone explain the random comment at the end "do whatever you want, but don't mess with your dad"? Because what? If this is incest I'm out.
I wasn't in a rush to watch this since the premise didn't really grab my interest, but the first two episodes got me hooked. It's another dramedy that's on the silly side, but I feel like it's done well. Putting aside the tragedy of our FL's new haircut, of course. I think it's going to be a fun show with some mystery on the side. I'm crossing my fingers that it maintains this energy and doesn't get bogged down in the middle.
I'm enjoying the direction this is going. It's interesting, in most cases the friend who got hurt would be the main character. Right? I mean, he got his fate taken from him then his wish was granted give him back his life. That's main character stuff. But he's not our lead. I like that twist. I do hope that there's less "look at all the crazy stuff the FL does" going forward. We already established all this in the first episode so it's a little repetitive. Like did we need that scene where she makes a chair? Anyway, other than that minor criticism, I think it's good.
Did you say SECOND coma? lol, what even is this show.
I know the others, but what does VH stand for? They really should put this in the tags or something. Even Netflix has it listed as simply "romance" has no warnings other than for language.
I'm loving it, but this teenage character is unlikeable and seems completely pointless. Her competitiveness with…
Yeah, I mean I know that teens are moody and irrational but I hope they give her character some depth. Right now it's very one note "I hate you because you have better grades than me! Instead of studying hard to beat you I'll sulk and throw tantrums!" Like okay, we get it. I sort of zone out during those scenes.
I'm halfway through the first episode and feel like I missed something. The show didn't do anything to make me care about the FL who is apparently having such a tragic moment in her life. It just threw me in without any emotional hook. I'm really not trying to be a hater. I know that people will tell me "keep watching, it gets explained" but that's the problem. I have no curiosity to find out. I really want to know how so many people apparently have watched the whole thing already, lol. Anyway, maybe it's just not for me. Sad, I like both the lead actors. (p.s., where are the FL's eyebrows? why so light?)
I liked the first episode for the most part. It was like a prologue, so the story will really start in the next episode. The FL reminds me of someone, maybe the SFL in My Roommate is a Gumiho? I don't know if that's the right show, the way she acts is so familiar. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I just kept trying to figure out who she reminds me of. And I don't mind how she acts. If I lived forever maybe I'd treat humans like dolls too. The point of the show is for her to have character growth, right? So she has to start as selfish. So anyway, it wasn't the best first episode I've ever seen, but it wasn't bad either. It's a little more silly than I was expecting.
This is random, but I like that we see Jira wearing the same clothes more than once. He's supposed to be broke, so he doesn't have an extensive wardrobe.
Lowkey the rage room scene was a huge turn off for me. I'm not talking about the acting, that was good. It's just, I've been around people who use violence as an outlet for their emotions, and it's not healthy, and it's not safe to be around people like this. Rage rooms sound like a nice idea, but getting used to violence as a crutch is bad. So I mostly just felt uncomfortable during that scene, and felt like Pheem was acting like a spoiled child who isn't getting what he wants.
Anyway, Pheem acting that way made Jira inspired to draw him... What did our girl Ing say? That Jira gets inspired by scum? Something like that. Then we had Koh using any and all types of manipulation to get Jira to help him sleep. He was so desperate that he went in the club. Remember, avoiding this sort of situation is literally why he hired Jira in the first place. He needs to realize that stunts like the one he pulled to force a confrontation between himself, Pheem, and Jira are the reason he's alone at night. Hopefully he starts to get some clarity, we'll see. Loving it so far, the episodes just fly by.
