Thank goodness the ML found out, I was going to give up hope if they tried to drag it out another episode. Not sure why there's a lot of negativity against the FL. First, if she says she's not married she'll probably get fired. Second, the ML is engaged, which means she doesn't have a chance with him anyway. (at least that's what she thinks) Third, she's paying the ML back for the loan shark money so if she risks telling the truth and gets fired she'll be back to square one. No money and no job. Anyway, last episode I had defended the 2ML but I can't anymore. He should have let the fiancee tell the truth. Or at least told the FL his feelings. I really hate unrequited love that drags on like this. Either tell them or don't, but if you keep your mouth shut don't act like a sad sack about it.
This episode made me feel so bad for the ML. I guess I hadn't really processed how his parents situation would have made him especially against the idea of having an affair with a married women. Obviously no good person would want to do that, but he has so much extra emotional baggage. The show told his story earlier, but the scene with the fever dream really struck a chord.
I know it's scary to stand up to a parent, especially one like Saint's dad, but at this point it's eight episodes of the same thing. The dad sees Saint around Ice and locks him up or threatens him, then later sets Saint free on the condition that he stays away from Ice. That's a summery of what's happened. Oh, we also get to see Ice absolutely destroyed from every angle. I'm tired, grandpa.
Okay, so I didn't fall in love with the first episode. I didn't like or dislike it. It's just... I dunno, what's the plot? Sad boy gets with another sad boy and has lots of angst and sexy times? Look, I loved Not Me, and the same person directed this, so I really want it to be good. But I'm going to need something more than dark rooms and sultry music. Before everyone comes for me, this is just my reaction after the first episode. I'm neutral at this point.
Same with Only Friends. It didnt feel like gmmtv and its was good.I wish gmmtv produced more bl dramas that are…
Out of all the OffGun shows I pretty much only like Not Me. I'm crossing my fingers that this isn't like Theory of Love where Gun cries the whole time.
I mostly agree with you, he's supposed to be a bad person to start with. I just hope that they actually have him…
There's still like 10 episodes left, so there's lots of time for character development. I don't think it's fair to write off the whole show yet, it's too early, plus Xiao is clearly shown as wrong for what he's doing to Shu Lang.
I really want to say this thing.(my perspective). Every time a series like this releases there are always people…
I mostly agree with you, he's supposed to be a bad person to start with. I just hope that they actually have him learn and change. I've seen so many shows (not just BLs) where the toxic character stays pretty much the same. When they get called out for their behavior by the other lead character, they'll say "I'm sorry but I couldn't help myself!" And then they try to justify themselves and pester the other lead until they accept their apology. This is terrible, because it tells the audience that SA and other manipulation is okay as long as you have really strong feelings or a sad backstory. I know this happens in real life, but I personally want my fiction to have a better ending, you know? Anyway, I'm really liking this show, it's messed up but somehow compelling. I'm crossing my fingers that Xiao has a good character arch. Right now I'm enjoying the chemistry that the actors have, it's refreshing.
The chemistry is amazing. I'm holding my breath when the leads interact. Even though I'm a bit concerned at how they'll end up together considering one is already in a relationship, I'm totally hyped about seeing what happens.
It is absolutely logical. If you don't understand it, the problem is in your gadget. Warm approached Ice at his…
You could just respond without being insulting, but okay. How do we know Ice was most vulnerable? We only saw a couple seconds of flashbacks and Ice is just chilling playing guitar. How do we know he thought he had to put up with Warm? He didn't seem to want to date him at all, much less put up with him. How did you come up with this whole backstory about Warm having low self esteem? None of it is in the show, you're filling in plot holes with head cannon.
I'm confused, maybe they need to update the description or something? "After a dramatic first encounter, photographer Peach becomes an amateur life coach to wealthy businessman Thee." That's not what's happening tho, Peach isn't his life coach... Thee is already romantically perusing Peach or am I crazy? Anyway, other than that it's fine. I'm not really hooked yet, but it's just the first episode.
A plotline held together by vibes, Tul’s jawline, and one pantless bunny man." Literally yes. It's a silly show that doesn't make much sense, but somehow it works for me.
This whole show I never understood why Ice and Warm were even dating, they didn't seem to get along at all. Ice acted uncomfortable and scared anytime he was around Warm, and Warm barely seemed to care about Ice except to pop up every once in a while and be jealous. Then after they broke up, suddenly we get some flashbacks that I guess are supposed to make the viewer understand the connection they had but it didn't work at all. When Ice was hesitant to get into a relationship because of what happened to him in the past, Warm said "everyone goes through stuff." Which is so dismissive and insulting. Also, Ice literally caught Warm cheating on him and basically shrugged it off and said he didn't really care. I keep trying to make sense of it, but the reality is I think it's just bad writing.
