I could say the same thing about 3/4 of the people in the top 9. Some are only there cos their visuals, Mnet angel edits them. Some are there cos they had fanbases before the show and their carrying them. There's a few in the top 9 i'm still searching for the talent, but their solid top 9 members who will probably debut.
Hui is pitiful, he will most likely not debut but he has tried every single round, no one can say he is not talented, (Can't say the same for half the people who are in the top 9.) He will probably not debut in the group and go back to pentagon who will most likely disband and then what.... be a mentor....who wants a career as a mentor, he clearly wants to be an idol, to be an artist, a musician.
I feel like this highlights more how wrong the kpop industry is that a talented artist in his 30s feels as though the only option he probably has at sustaining a career is going on to a survival and being a trainee.
Like how embarrassed he probably felt going on that show as a trainee, people saying he should be a mentor, his 30, why is he there. It's embarrassing, but he did it.
I also wonder how different the reaction wud be if he was what people would call visuals....

I loved watching produce season 2, my fave was Kang daniel, he literally climbed to number 1 and I didn't have to vote because he was sooo loved.
My only fave on this show one week I think they might make it the next week I have no idea. If i'm being honest. If my fave does not debut in this group I will probably not stan the group and I will be a casual listener, if they release music I will give it a listen, if I like a song it will get added on my playlist but thats it.

I think it's smart, by the time Boys Planet ends, this will still be airing so survival show fans might watch it just to watch something similar. Also, Peak time is airing now and it's highlighting just how few members are talented in boys planet.

I didn't even know people where voting for Matthew like that. But watching him and Sung Han bin it was cute. He seems really hard working and humble. I wouldn't mind him in the group. However, I feel like there is only room for one western, english speaking person and it will either be Matthew or Jay. Jay has a better voice, one of the best voices on the show.
But Matthew seems more humble and k-fans like that more. And some i-fans too. We shall see.
I felt really bad for a lot of the global trainee's. A lot of talent left. They cudn't even let them win the dance battle, they were leading, honestly felt like the g group shud have won all battles except the final group one, K team was better there. It was just so unfair tbh.
Also, watching this it was interesting to see the difference in trainee's from Korea and the global trainee's from china/ Japan and so on. Korean trainee's for example with dancing they seem very structured, choreography based whilst global trainee's seem to have more natural talents, very different talents, you didn't know what you would get and very diverse. And then they were kicked out.
