I decided to listen to this again after years. It’s a produce 101 season 1 performance and it’s interesting how back then Mnet showed performances almost in full, no repetitive replays of certain parts, no judges reaction, no going to the other contestants reactions so often.

No if there’s a high note they will show the judges reaction/ other contestants reactions, replay the part n show another reaction of the crowd (usually a screaming fan and I’m seeing the back of their throats).

I preferred it back then, now if you want to see the full performance you have watch another version of the performance on YouTube.

oh my gosh, is this not a competition, is this not a survival show. Is there a rule that says if you have had a killing part for the final you should not be the main vocalist?

Is there a limit to how much a trainee can showcase their talent on a competition about finding talent????

His fans voted for him and one of the perks is he gets to choose the position he wants and it makes sense for him to choose the main vocalist part because he is a main vocalist.

Jay should have been more strategic, he had a low ranking and he picked the main vocalist position. Tae Rae was smart, you think he didn't want the main vocalist position.

Ok, great then, good for SHanbin for choosing to showcase his talents as a main vocalist.

I need Cong to debut somewhere, even when he knew he had been eliminated he was so supportive to all the members and honestly, he is one of the most talented members on that show and he is such an amazing dancer.

His dance skills I would say exceeds majority of the kpop industry...

I respect SHanbin for taking the main vocalist role, like others have said this isn't a charity but a competition. His fans voted for him and he wants to showcase his talents. I saw other trainee's in the last round choose a sub role and they barely had any parts and somehow they are still in the top 9 but other trainee's who worked so hard and carried performances have been eliminated.

At least Hanbin is still choosing the main vocalist role, even though he cud choose a sub vocalist 6 position and debut number 1 but I don't think many people who have voted for him would respect that.

Jay should have chosen sub vocal 1 or 2. He isn't ranked high. He moved Seung Eon from the main vocalist position. No one said anything about that (Seung Eon is also not safe). If he hadn't Seung Eon would be a sub vocalist 6 now not Jay. Jay should have been strategic. You think Tae rae didn't want that main vocalist role?? He was strategic.

Also, you saying why couldn't he take sub vocal 1 which is Tae rae or Seung Eon...who would have been moved to the sub vocal 6 position, would that have been better for you?? To me it seems like whatever SHanbin would have chosen except for maybe the empty sub vocal 6 position, someone would have been salty....It would also make no sense for him to pick a sub vocal 6 position (unless for charity) when he is a main vocalist as well.

I could say the same thing about 3/4 of the people in the top 9. Some are only there cos their visuals, Mnet angel edits them. Some are there cos they had fanbases before the show and their carrying them. There's a few in the top 9 i'm still searching for the talent, but their solid top 9 members who will probably debut.

Hui is pitiful, he will most likely not debut but he has tried every single round, no one can say he is not talented, (Can't say the same for half the people who are in the top 9.) He will probably not debut in the group and go back to pentagon who will most likely disband and then what.... be a mentor....who wants a career as a mentor, he clearly wants to be an idol, to be an artist, a musician.

I feel like this highlights more how wrong the kpop industry is that a talented artist in his 30s feels as though the only option he probably has at sustaining a career is going on to a survival and being a trainee.

Like how embarrassed he probably felt going on that show as a trainee, people saying he should be a mentor, his 30, why is he there. It's embarrassing, but he did it.

I also wonder how different the reaction wud be if he was what people would call visuals....

I want to rant about this show.... I feel like this show is more enjoyable if you don't have a fave.

Unfortunately, I have a favourite on this stupid show, I went down this rabbit hole for my fave, I followed so many stan accounts for my top pick, my fyp is filled with my top pick. Elimination round is stress.

I loved watching produce season 2, my fave was Kang daniel, he literally climbed to number 1 and I didn't have to vote because he was sooo loved.

My only fave on this show one week I think they might make it the next week I have no idea. If i'm being honest. If my fave does not debut in this group I will probably not stan the group and I will be a casual listener, if they release music I will give it a listen, if I like a song it will get added on my playlist but thats it.

I have accepted that if my fave debuts in the group, I will probably stan the group (depending on the music) if my fave doesn't debut then I will stan whatever group they debut in.

I think whoever debuts in this group it will be a very popular group with alot of fans however it's sad how predictable the top 9 is. The votes seem like they are accumulated from episode 1 instead of resetting every votes period because it's the same people at the top.

Their a few people who basically didn't shine in the last round, didn't do anything outstanding or anything and their in the top 9 still. But then their people who carried performances but their eliminated.

It's like the performance doesn't even matter. Like someone could have given the best performance and it wouldn't have even mattered, they wud still be eliminated. That's sad.

This show is so unfair, so stupid, such a waste of my time and energy and I am so grateful it is finishing next week because I am tired. Lesson for myself never watch an MNET survival show as it's airing, I will watch it (if even) after it's done. I can't do this.

So much happened, it's not even worth it. You can scroll down this comment section, u will see most of it. After Build left the company most rational people left too so it kinda got taken over by Build stans, so just be cautious with what they say it's very biased.

A quick summary is Build was accused of stuff by the writer, he left the company.
Build stans attacked BOC and some cast members.
Build went to court.
We probably won't be getting Kinnporsche season 2
Jeff left BOC.

Overall, it's a mess, there's a lot of lies being spread.

I agree, fans are doing the most with the BOC hate, they will regret it when they realise their probably doing more harm than good for him in the long run.

But their in this echo chamber right now to see clearly.

I doubt Build will go back to BOC, his stans are too problematic. I dont get why they thought attacking BOC will help in the long run.

Also other company's are seeing all this mess in Thailand. Will they want to work with him, it will be interesting to see. Their too many actors, aspiring actors in the industry.
