Wild speculation here but...she needed the entire family distracted and away from the house. Injuring Home in that case isn't ideal, but it guarantees the privacy she needs to ransack the place and get the information she wants.

She might not have an issue with Home himself, but I doubt she's giving up a ten year revenge plan just because he turned out to be more naive than willfully awful.

I genuinely thought they were gonna pull a 1000 Stars with Home hitting Peach, but nope the show went there and frankly I like it better for it. It's a huge thing that happened, it wrecked Peach's life at the time and was the impetus to ship Home off, and yet it tied their fates together. And I'm into watching both of them struggle with that. I am also enjoying watching Home in particular struggle with something he's taken for granted his entire life - the privilege his family's money gives him, and how it screws over those around him, including people he's coming to care about. I think a part of him was always aware of this but now it's right in his face, and I am so curious to see how he deals. When he was younger he let his family take care of it without thinking, but now you can see it's starting to unsettle him - you could see it even before this last episode. It's kind of fascinating because Home in a lot of ways seems very sheltered and childlike, and now he's having to grow up.

I'm not mad at Kan for revealing it but I am kinda wondering what her deal is. Because I don't think it was a strike against Home specifically - she finds him annoying but she doesn't seem to have anything against him personally, and she absolutely saw and sympathized with the struggle he was having with telling Peach what he did. And yet. Is it just that she believes in right and wrong that strongly...or does she have an axe to grind? Either way I am so curious, and I'm curious to whether she will come clean about revealing it and what it will mean.

I genuinely don't know what I would do in Peach's place. I think his ultimatum was more a reaction to being offered hush money than learning what Home had done, but I feel like the betrayal is gonna start setting in soon. I know this is a comedy, but I'd really like it if the show gave us a realistic depiction of what this might look like - if we see Peach struggling with reconciling this person that he's actually started to really care for (he told Home that he and Pang were his family for goodness' sake - despite himself he likes the guy a lot to offer that) with the person that changed his life forever. The person that hit him and left him there.

But I also really like the idea of the two of them acting like petulant kids about it too. Maybe the show can do both? :D

This show is just really doing it for me. The cast is great, the ghosts of the week are also great, and so far I'm really liking how our overarching plot is developing.

But November is good - gives the editing team time to work. I do hope that they don't worry too much about fan's opinions this time. There came a point with OF where nothing they did was gonna please a certain section of fandom and trying to edit things in a way to make it more understandable only added fuel to the weird conspiracy theories.
