I don't even think it's about being worthy, I just don't see Ray caring about him at all and it makes me cringe to see Sand still trying. But clearly he's gonna have to break his heart to figure that out. My hope is that it happens before episode 12 so we might get to see him heal a bit and maybe even move on.

Yeah exactly. And I have a lot of sympathy for Ray because some of the stuff he's doing, he genuinely can't help. But I dislike excusing his every single shitty action with 'well he's an addict and has mental health issues' because it's like...no, some of this is just generic shittiness, that we're seeing from other characters and that people are rightfully annoyed with those characters for. And that's when I start to lose my patience.

I enjoy all of these characters for feeling human, even when they're frustrating me. Maybe especially when they're frustrating me, lol. Like am I annoyed at Sand in the preview but also, sigh, he's gotta shoot his shot the same as Ray had to shoot his with Mew. Then Ray can break his heart and we can move the fuck on (I *want* Sand to break something for once but i think we all already know how this is gonna go, sigh again).

The thing is, even if Sand moves on *Ray isn't going to care*. He's in love with Mew and he's not gonna stop, at best he's gonna continue to use Sand as option number two because Mew? Ain't feeling it for Ray,. at least right now.

Like people keep saying Sand means so much but I don't see it. At all. I see Ray clinging to a person who makes him feel good and who he thinks belongs to him but I don't see Ray reciprocating in the least. He likes the attention. And I'm kind of tired of people acting like that's just fine when he's clearly doing to Sand what everyone is so mad about Mew doing to him. It's so hypocritical it makes me want to scream.

I swear to god if he does what I think he's going to next ep and I see people excusing it like they're already excusing him kissing Sand this ep (against his will I might add), I am going to lose my shit (not really I'm being dramatic but I will be irritated as hell).

And I'm honestly tired of people conflating the relationship with Mew with the drug use and the alcohol. When it comes to the *relationship*, Ray is using Mew's heartbreak to try to get a chance a much as Mew is using Ray to try to move past Top/piss him off. They both suck, even though I understand both of them.

When it comes to the drug and alcohol use, I don't blame Ray for Mew's actions because Mew is a whole ass adult who makes his own damn decisions and it annoys me when people can't accept that, both in the show and out of it. And he definitely shouldn't be partying with the addict, like what the fuck Mew. I genuinely don't think he'll spiral, but Ray has been spiraling nonstop and this is just going to make him worse.

And I want to clarify that I don't think that any of these guys are villains. Ray is an addict, and they are hard to deal with - this show is doing a great job of showcasing that through poor Sand. Literally every time they interact a little more of the light inside him visibly dies. Like I was just watching a bit of ep 4 today and I recalled how much I used to like them as friends. But Ray's set on a course of self destruction and while I desperately want to see some upward movement for him I want him to stop dragging Sand down with him. Sand can't be the one to help him. I think he should stick to Mew because Mew has enough emotional distance from Ray that he'll know when to back off for his own sanity. Sand doesn't have that. And Ray cares less about him than Mew so he's not gonna care that he's breaking him while he breaks himself.

I was talking about a First & Mix reunion. I want Mix to cameo and for his character to make out with Sand. Imagining it is not good enough.

And sure, they include all that, but no one's wound up dead or in prison yet, so possibly they want the drama without the prison sentence. Just a thought. :D

And yeah, I agree with you. I adore Sand but not because I think he's a perfect angel - in fact his turn for awful in ep 6 was amazing and I loved it, and would love if he does so again. I support him in his wrongs. But they're still wrongs. Although I do admit my adoration of him leads me to get annoyed with Ray more than I might otherwise do.

Also one of my absolute favorite characters is Boston. Boston and "did nothing wrong" don't go together, haha.

Ha yes trailer pasting and cutting is the very reason I don't trust next ep's preview. I side eye the show *hard* whenever Ray and Sand look like they're getting somewhere.

Ignoring end games, I still want more mixing up in the cast. Nick should kiss Sand. Ray should kiss Boston. Mew should kiss Sand. Top should kiss Ray and Sand. And Mix should cameo and give me what I've been craving since Moonlight Chicken. :D

Eh, Ray also jumped at it knowing Mew would never love him. Trust me he knows. He wouldn't be sniffing after Sand if he really thought Mew could love him back - it's depressing, but true.

I sympathize with parts of Ray, but the way some people carry on about him you'd think he never did a thing wrong in his entire life (not necessarily you). It genuinely makes me want to scream the way hardcore Ray apologists will try to make everyone else the problem.

They all suck. Even Sand. Every last one of them is a mess and none of them have their shit together and all of them do stupid things and fall for the wrong people and want to believe they're better than they are.

I think endgame likelihood is TopMew for sure, BostonNick unlikely and SandRay right out. Think about it. Only Top and Mew had a fight early enough that they could conceivably work through it by the end of the show. Boston and Nick maybe, just maybe, but they're also going to have to navigate Boston not being inclined towards monogamy with Nick's desire to be his one and only. I think they can do it, but it really depends on when they start talking again.

Ray and Sand, on the other hand, have the kind of fighting still to do that has Sand curled up on the floor screaming his heart out and crying. No way they're coming back from that, in my opinion. Plus we don't even know if Ray intends to break it off with Mew, or if it does break off that he'll actually focus on Sand or just continue the cycle of keeping him as Mr. Second.

ETA: Man if I turn out to be wrong here I expect a lot of people will be telling me so. Don't worry, I'm capable of admitting when I've got things wrong. I'll totally admit it. :D

Hm, well I don't know if I'd go right to fucked up - a lot of us have been in that vulnerable place that Mew is in, and it makes sense to me that he's rebounding towards someone that he feels he should care for since Ray loves him so much and has always treated him like he walks on water. But he's also rebounding at Ray, in my opinion, because he knows that he never will feel that way about him. Now the show might decide to change that at some point, but at least for now that's how I read it.

And Top and Cheum being unable to see that Mew is a grown man making his own choices isn't really Mew's fault - he has tried to tell them that he's doing all of this of his own free will, they just refuse to listen. It's not Ray's fault there either, and if anything Mew should have scored his drugs and alcohol literally anywhere else and with anyone else. That's the real misstep.

I think we're stuck with it. It's really dragging the show down for me, and I don't even ship any of it. I'd be just as happy if Ray and Mew decided to actually settle down properly and Ray stopped giving Sand false hope as I would be if they broke up. Actually happier, probably, because then Sand could start moving on (possibly with a character played by Mix a person can dream).

I am not optimistic, but I would throw a party if Sand was the cause of the big trailer fight (and it's not somehow about Mew please jesus save us all). Let my boy be the messy one for once.

Lol yes my top three shifts a little (one time even Ray made the top three - I know, it was weird for me too), but Boston and Sand are the most reliably there. Lately it's been Sand, Boston, and Mew though.

No but seriously. Just once I'd like to see Ray trying and have Sand screw it up. I don't think that it will go that way, but I can't tell you how much I wish it would.

I don't think that they're going for a demon Ray/angel Sand agenda though. I think it's more like Sand's in love with Ray, Ray is in love with Mew, so Sand keeps getting hurt dynamic. He was an entire ass to Sand a couple of times - the end of ep 6 when he called him a whore (twice!) and at the party this ep - but on the whole he's done nothing wrong by loving Mew and prioritizing him over Sand.

I just think that's gonna continue, and Sand will have to decide when enough is enough. But man the way I'd celebrate if Sand fucked something up, lol.
