Its been awhile since I watched this drama. So I just write down what I remember. But then again, most of the time you only remember the important stuff. ^_^ I really liked the story because it isnt your usual love story and you cant really predict what's gonna happen next. (It surely isnt a comedy.)

Something special about this drama is certainly the scenery they used for some scences. Just Beautiful. (Next to other awards this drama got Best Picture Award). Some thing else that is special about this drama is the ending (which I loved). I am sure you cried while watching a movie before, not because you're actually sad but because it was so emotional. And when the movie ended so did your tears. Here, I cried because I was actually sad. That's how attached you get to the characters.

But dont let that keep you from watching it. It has a great male lead. good story that keeps you interested.

This reminded me a lot of Gokusen. Not necessarily because of the story but how its told. Its not really one storyline till the end but each episode has its own little story concentrating on one side character (...which is being helped by the female lead).

I really liked the idea of one girl being in a school full of boys.

(I mean what girl doesn't? ^.^) Sometimes it was cute and sometimes it was a little dramatic (ok, maybe sometimes a little too dramatic). The music was catchy, the acting was great and the boys were cute. This drama has a special atmosphere. You know, when you watch those (american) movies where the lead character dramatically gives a Speech/Explanation in front of an audience/other lead character towards the end and the audience so moved by his/her words that they all cheer/kiss or whatever. This kind of atmosphere leads you through all 9 episodes. Not much romance but a lot of "fighting"-attitude, so if you don't mind a little cheesiness on the side, you should give this a try. I did and I didnt regret it.

*Fighting* (makescutefistmoveintoair)

This drama is great. Go and watch it.

That's pretty much all you need to know

(But that would be a lame ass review ^.^)

I read about this drama and how fast it won on popularity.

And I just wondered how could a 30 episode-story about bread-making be interesting?

But I started it anyway. Even though the first couple episodes are set in the past

and were meant for information build-up,

I think those were needed to give depth to the following episodes.

This drama made me laugh. cry. angry, then laugh again and most of all: It kept me interested. Love and intrigues. The story moves along and progresses constantly. The actors are all very good (AND very good-looking.) ^.^

You can feel the struggle the characters have in the story and feel with them.

Also the music was good.

I even caught myself humming the tunes to it at work.

(Unfortunately I dont understand/speak korean. YET ^_^) haha.

Hoped that helped, and you are now convinced to go and watch it.

wow. That's all I can say. I am speechless. It's raining outside and I was bored as hell. I read the review of ashu and decided to give this movie a try. The story started kinda slow. very slow actually. (or maybe I wasnt in the mood for it -I even stopped in between to watch R.J Berger)

But because it was still raining, and I was still bored I continued. And I am glad I did.

Right after I started watching it again, it started to get good- really good. The slow pace of the movie stepped up and the story suddenly turned a 180 degrees.

simply Moving and beautiful.

I am actually still surprised because the movie went against all my expectation I had for it.

It is def worth the watch (and the wait through the first half of the movie) ^_^

PS:

This movie is the perfect example why I love asian drama/movies so much.

The story is told, and the watcher follows whatever happens. Then suddenly there is a flashback which gives you additional info. And with this the meaning of everything that has happened so far changes, and gives a twist to the story.

(american Tvshows rarely use the flashback method)

*Hope this doesnt count as a spoiler*

PSS:

I gave it a low re-watch value simply because I dont like to rewatch sad movies. (Just to find out that I cant help but to cry. again.) ^_^

When I was a kid I loved the disney version. Someone told me later that the ending of the real story was sugar coated and didn't end well like in the cartoon. I hated that idea. So I hesitated a long time with watching this movie. I also dont like war/historical movies. But yesterday I just watched it anyway - and I LOVED IT. I cried like a baby, but loved every bit of it. ^_^

The acting is great. First I thought that the main character is way too pretty to be accepted as a man. But she nailed it. Also the main male character did a good job. Both work great together, the character came to life and you could feel how they progressed, came closer, to a very sad, but perfect ending.

( I hope this isnt a spoiler, but I believe everybody is

familiar with the basic storyline of Mulan.)

The storyline is told in a way, that you accept the ending without a doubt in your mind. Beautiful. Which is actually a first for me. At least with sad movies (I hated Titanic)

Well, like I said, this movie is sad, not very comical, but beautiful.

If you're up to it you should def. watch it!

When there are two version of one great story a comparison can't be left out. I read the manga before watching both dramas. I loved both versions while they were going on and hated both their endings (even tough the manga ending wasnt very satisfying either)

What I really liked about the taiwan version was how they portrayed the relationship between the two main characters. You can really feel the love growing between them, the emotional struggles they go through to protect each other and what they have and all that in a still comical way. Yes, the japanese version is funny. No, wait. Hilarious. a lot more even than this version here but I feel that they kinda forgot about the romantic parts and chemistry and I am glad I found them in this version. The best of two worlds, or something like that... ^.^

As for the acting/cast. They were pretty all good, even the female lead, even tough I took me a while to get used to her. (But at least she looked like a boy =) ) the looks and chemistry were also pretty good (I especially thought the male lead was hot... ^.^)

The music was pretty catchy and earned me weird looks of my family while trying to sing the tunes at the dinner table. ^.^

I really enjoyed the story. Some parts were funny, some were breath holding thrilling and some very wet from all the crying. Even tough there isnt much to criticize about the story I feel they could have done more. Sometimes I felt the story was dragging a bit and the pace was slower as considered good. And of course I would have loved to see one more kiss of the leads just for a dramalovers sake. ^.^ As for the acting, I loved it very much. Everyone was really good except (It really pains me to admit it) Lee Min Ho. His looks are undeniably and unforgettable over the top. But I felt thats all I got from him. A pretty boy. During all 20 episodes I tried very hard to see past Lee Min Hoo' Face and see the man who grew up as a drug lords son somewhere in the jungle and who now wants to take revenge as the city hunter. But I couldn't. not really. I'm a LMH- Lover, dont get me wrong but the more dramas I see of him the more disappointed I am because in every drama he plays the exact same role. (himself?) "His" role may be perfect for PersonalTaste but as for the city hunter he didn't convince me at all. As for Kim Na Na, she did a perfect job. Well, except maybe in the last 10 minutes sitting around weirdly but that's maybe just me. As for the music, it wasn't bad or anything just nothing that stuck with me... In general I am really glad I watched this drama so my advice for you: Go and watch it! ^.^

I have probably never seen such a bad story line in all my life. Nothing is logical or makes sense. At all. Not the main plot nor the little twists. But then again there arent many korean shows that are as funny as this one is... After learning to ignore all the fault and weird things in the story line ( I guess the writers even did that on purpose - nobody can make thaaaaat many mistakes, seriously) the show was very entertaining, sweet and lovable. They could have stopped after episode 16. But other than that I really loved to watch this show and advise it to anybody who doesn't take themself and the world too serious and are willing to turn two blind eyes to what actually happens in the story line or the characters (who are supposedly spies) behave in certain situations.

This review may sound really negative but it isnt supposed to. You cant just give this drama a high score without pointing out the elephant in the room resp, the show.

I guess you either love it or you hate it.

I am really disappointed by this one. Sure, I haven't finished it yet. And I'm probably not gonna. Somehow it was promising so I kept pushing myself to keep watching. Up to Episode 4 it was ok (though the acting in this episode was a little annoying) After all, it was just the pre-storyline and somehow interesting. After that I expected a quick introduction into the actual storyline and then the story to steadily evolving into something more. It took the story until the end of episode 13 to pick up. (Thats about 10 hours going in circles) After that it became good but only until episode 17 or so. Then dragged again. Maybe I am too harsh because this drama surely had its sweet moment and one or two of my tears battled with gravity at some point, but mostly it filled me with boredom. The development of the characters is very faulty. Usually characters and their action are shown in such a manner that the viewer can relate to them or at least understand them in a way. But in this drama I had the feeling they forgot to do that with certain characters. More than once I asked myself "why does he do that in such a manner? why does he suddenly like her? Why is this character even in this drama?...."

On the positive side; I really liked the music and the acting isnt all too bad. (Oh, and the male actors are definitely worth looking at... ^.^)

I guess the story has been done before, but I am pretty sure not like this. Usually movies rush over a good story line forgetting the interactions between character. In this movie the interaction between the leads was great. Great in a sense like it was how it was supposed to be. Not all mushy but kinda awkward. Good actors, too. The music was okay, I am usually not the type noticing the music. Well except of course when the lead had sang. She has a great voice and it was fun to hear the korean version of english songs.

I simply loved this movie. It is funny. it is sad. But most of all its inspiring. (Yes, its not really a "that could happen to anyone"-kinda story, but who cares? ^.^)

ANd I loved the ending.

Its simply perfect and the only one to bring across the message of the movie.

Oh, Its not really a love story about two characters falling in love but that's why this movie is so brilliant. Its more about...

well, you'll have to see for yourself.
