Obviously the FL will surely end up with the prince because they met as children (people were chasing him, he lost both his parents, he was richly dressed and couldn't reveal his name). It's also sure that she will end with Kang San, the one she bickers with and there's an unpleasant start of relationship, which in k-drama is an indication that the two will become a couple. I get it, communication was difficult at those times, but when there's a will there's a way. It was a coincidence she wasn't dead before he arrived. And yes, the pansoori was a test of endurance. No doubt the performer was a virtuoso, he did all sorts of things with his voice, expressing emotions, going up and down skillfully, but the harmonies sounded cacophonous to my Western ears. We were lucky to have the film to watch while listening, but when I think of the audience sitting on a chair and just listening to it for five hours... it would be torture!
