Guys if you're thinking about watching youtube vids of Heo Nam Jun doing publicity or appearing on variety shows while waiting for the next eps to air DO NOT DO IT. .Nam Jun is sooo well-spoken, funny, charming and vibrant in real life, and even more attractive than Se Gye, like the man smiles sooooo much irl. I am SUFFERING. Don't make the same mistake I did.
I'm a huge fan of Jae Wook, but he's really uneven in the first ep. Feels like he's having a hard time nailing down Ji Ui as a character. At times he leans ALL the way into the neurotic and then other times not at all, and his gestures and expressions aren't consistent, and so the characterization feels really inconsistent and underdeveloped. It's like he can't decide which brand of awkward and weird Ji Ui , so he's just winging it every scene, throwing whatever out and hoping it stick, or sometimes forgetting and just acting like a normal dude.
I'll keep watching I just hope he can settle into the role better.
Dear hongrang was good but other than that holy crap 😠I didn't even bother watching impossible heir and last…
I liked hong rang a lot. The scenes themselves were really captivating and well-done even if the overall plot was a little sloppy at times. And Jaewook's performance was flawless
They should give Mingi a partner instead of making love triangle. This man deserves a partner to.. I can't believe…
He really was the most pathetic third wheel on beloved thief despite there being an adorable 2fl that he was LITERALLY ENGAGED TO, so I say justice for minki!
only 14 episodes, i wonder if the real shin seo ri is ever coming back to her actual body?
This show is really good at foreshadowing and they haven't foreshadowed that at all, we haven't seen any traces of the OG Shin Seori still being in there. At this point it's too late for them to introduce soul swapping. Even in the first ep when she was talking to the shaman, the shaman made clear that it didn't matter if this was time travelling or a soul swap because whatever happened she is now the soul that is in that body and there's no separating it anymore.
She should tell him about her grandma and ask for help. Then everyone would be fine. Why do things you don’t…
She proclaimed boldly she will never rely on a man as long as she lives. That's her fatal flaw--she believes she will be happier and in the end safer if she doesn't rely on anyone but herself. so unfortunately she is going to have to suffer because of this to force her to agrow from it.
Anyone knows drama with similar vibe? Of course I will rewatch episodes 10 times while waiting and I am starting…
This may sound like a weird rec, but despite being much more serious and a melo Just Between Lovers has a rough on the outside but really a puppy dog lead who has never had anyone to love or who loves him, and falls sooo hard for the FL (a really great performance by Lee Junho). They have amazing chemistry and connect in a way they haven't with anyone else before. I rooted for them SO hard, and I felt a lot of the same feelings I do in this one
The funny thing is, Mo Tae Hui would have probably gotten Cha Se Gye if he had not met Seo Ri. She really came…
I kinda agree with you. Because SeGye is ambitious and it would have been a good business move. HE wouldn't have felt a thing for her though, and she would have been miserable because she actually does have feelings for him.
But, Mun Do would have found some way to break it up, I'm sure.
The first half of the show and the second half of the show felt like two different dramas. The first was a truly hilarious, sexy, fun romcom. The second was a more serious melo romance with a subtle love story and a bit of humor here and there. I liked both, but I do really miss the vibe of the first half.
Also I stood up and clapped when the leads GASP had a normal adult 30 second conversation so he would know that her saying she used him was meant to help him in the end. No ridiculous noble idiocy. No 3 month time skip with them not talking only to make up in the last 10 minutes. Bless you for that, drama.
I wish romcoms would make the non-romance plot about something that didn't have such life or death stakes that clash tonally with the nature of the drama. Like istg every romcom anymore also has a serial killer/murder plot, or a felony level corruption plot, or a chaebol takeover of a million dollar company plot . Stakes can feel really meaningful even at lower levels if written well.
Re: the FL and SML’s relationship . . . what’s frustrating is they were together for five years but it was…
Guys. Cmon. You need to accept he wasn't the ML. I know you wanted him to be, but he wasn't. This was a love story about In Ah and Ki Jun. You all are as delusional as he was about the reality. All this stuff is absurd to expect between a FL and a 2ML
Also, he was a creep who harassed her. He tried to forcefully hug her multiple times and physically restrained her when she pulled away, low key stalked her so she couldn't even go home one night because he was waiting outside without her permission or invitation, used his position to send her new boyfriend to the US to break them up, made her come on a trip with him and told her she doesn't even have to love him he just wants someone loyal by his side (taking no consideration for what she wants or her happiness). It's weird for you to hand-wave all that away as if them having dated for a number or years makes it suddenly okay for him to ignore her consent to be touched or ignore her boundaries and needs for space. "No means yes if I really really wanted to talk and you and I'm sad." That is a WILD take.
I know Kim Jae Wook is super hot and charming, and he is that classic "I'm broken and only one woman can fix me" ML archtype that so many women wish would fall in love with them so they could be the one to fix him. But that doesn't mean he gets a pass. She has every right to want to keep distance from someone she dated and not want to be buds, she was respectful towards him and kept the distance that was comfortable for her.
Your entire response upholds a very toxic viewpoint that women are responsible for men's emotions and aren't allowed to have boundaries or their own emotional needs if the man is having a hard time or isn't emotionally mature enough to take care of himself. She doesn't owe him an apology for deciding to end a relationship that wasn't working, no one is obligated morally to stay in a relationship with someone, and it's actually abusive to try and force someone to stay by saying that the other person will end their life if they don't. What you're describing in your response is codependency, not any form of reasonable interaction between two people.
Her and Ki Jun were so much healthier and better for each other, and I am so glad they didn't do any of the things you suggested and instead rightfully focused the time and energy on the actual main couple of this drama.
It would be actually so fun if a writer did this with on of their past sad historical dramas.
I'll keep watching I just hope he can settle into the role better.
