What’s kind of annoying is that, judging by the preview for the next episode, we’re going to get a pointless…
I really hate noble idiocy and dramas have thankfully been using the trope less. But I especially hate it for this show because they showed like 5 scenes of them really genuinely promising to stand by eachother and fight together and protect eachother. I can only hope it will be subverted someone
I am super annoyed with Darim's decision to break up as per the preview. When their relationship started, she…
ISTG you all will find any reason to hate the FL. You're literally complaining about a one minute PREVIEW. Like, please. At least wait to watch the show before you start complaining this time.
I have a feeling they will follow the plot similar to King the Land but in this case ML's dad is a bigger asshole.…
I don't think so, beacuse they've set this whole thing up with the Mom wanting to divorce Dad and take back control of her shares. I think the sister and evil brother will make a play and mom will come out at the last second and flip the takeover on them with her newly-controlled shares. JH does become VP but his mom becomes CEO. Darim becomes head of some department. Dad's affair is exposed and he slinks away to america or something.
And I'm gonna manifest that there is no break up, no noble idiocy, or anything else, and that the two decide to stay together through it all despite their families or what the public says, and we see their bond tested and see them grow as they navigate it all together.
And I would actually love to see the sister forgiven, she has been manipulated by the dad and the evil brother, and I think her and JH would actually get along really well and she's clearly smart and capable.
Who else is excited and waiting to see the face of SML after he gets to know FL and ML are together. That sad…
I am sooooo ready for this. the ML is going to be insufferable and rub it in his face so hard. Luckily he has a hot, rich, adorable girl waiting for him so he can't be sad for too long
She knows it's inevitable that ML will be given her position as CEO by daddy. It's uncommon for a bastard to rule…
I don't think we should be using the bare minimum as a standard for "good". It's like saying well even tho this guy called you ugly, and least he didn't hit you like a lot of boyfriends do so you shouldn't feel bad and you should stay with him and be happy.
The only reason he didn't kick her out on the street is because he wanted a "spare." The fact that the dad brought her into the home even though it did hurt his wife is not some sign he cared for the daughter--it's just another indication he loves no one but himself. If he really loved the daughter OR his wife he'd have found her a home with a good family and supported her financially from afar. The daughter has every right to feel betrayed and unloved-- she had a stepmother who was so upset she existed that she went insane and a father who only wanted to use her as a placeholder for his son.
I just don't understand, why is the MLs half sister going so far to inherit the company? Like, why does she hate…
Her mom who had her as an affair baby died at a young age, her deadbeat dad brought her into his home in a way that caused her stepmom to have a nervous breakdown just cause she exists, she has to pretend she's not daddy's love child her whole life, she's been busting her ass at her father's company for years to prove her worth, from what they've said she's very capable and actually the one doing all the work while the dad just kinda dinks around and gets annoyed at the mom or whatever. Yet the dad is going to give a VP position to his son who has done nothing in the company just because it's his son. I don't blame her for feeling betrayed and taking things into her own hands. The dad is trash.
Now, the healthy thing would be for her to just quit and start her own company where she isn't under dad's influence, or to go after the dad in a more by the book way (company takeovers are actually not uncommon and she could pull it off in time), but no one in that family is remotely heathy.
As far as the 2FL and her brother, that family clearly doesn't value anything but money and appearances, and so I think it's a mix of the brother kinda already being more on the psychopath spectrum and him hating how cold and unloving his parents are and wanting to take his father down.
Just a rant on ep 9 and the drama in general: The day when the FL in a drama tells to the SML that he should have…
It's really the biggest weakness of this show, and it would have been much more enjoyable without it.
What bothers me too is that 2ML doesn't get to have any sort of actual personality or character arc other than liking Darim. He's got this great backstory about being a single dad who is divorced, who used to be an artistic photographer but gave it up to start a children's studio, there is just so much there to explore, especially with the 2FL. They could have spent all the time he's moping over Darim having him overcome his divorce and rediscover his passion of photography with the 2FL. And like, what about the special difficulties of being a single dad? That also has been glossed over. It KILLS me that this was wasted.
What also kills me is the writer had the option to have a love triangle that wasn't a love triangle, sooo rare. It would have been just as hilarious and caused just as much misunderstanding if 2ML was just an overprotective brother-type figure, and thought the chaebol ML was trying to seduce his "married" friend, and so played up their fake marriage to try and protect her from losing her job, or something like that. I mean it was all right there for the writer. Def disappointing.
It’s so long since I’ve watched a kdrama where all episodes are so good , and i just wait for it to crash…
RIGHT. I haven't once wanted to FF or felt impatient, I've liked every ep. Even the side story with the mothers is really touching. Even the evil sister has me feeling bad for her
The look on Ji Hyeoks face when he realized it was Darim's house had me cackling. He is nailing the comedy. I could watch his ridiculous facial expressions while he is being petty and silly forever.
It hit extra hard when his mom said he was always mature and she rarely sees him show his feelings or act out, since he's been like that since he first met Darim. The detail about a certain energy and warmth radiating from someone who grew up in a family with love, and how someone without it would be drawn to that made a lot of sense and I can see why he'd be so taken with Darim as it's a type of kindness and brightness he's never known.
Bout time Darim rescues him! I loved the reversal. And I love that Darim can finally allow herself to be loved by him, it was heartbreaking to see her not even think of it as an option because she thought so little of herself.
Episode 10 really had it all--hilarious comedy, swoonworthy romance, emotional depth. Loved every second.
I loved the scene when Darim finally came clean to him, it was really moving. Everything she did made sense at the time, and she was acting from desperation. It's easy to think a small lie won't really affect anyone else too much when you see how much pain you and someone you love are in, and how easily the lie solves all your problems. How many of us would do something similar given the choice? I like that he didn't immediately excuse her behavior, but you could tell by his face and body language that he empathized with her deeply. And the montage of him practicing fencing was really well done.
I haven't loved Ha Yeong as much as others seem to have, but she really grew on me this episode. Her words to JH about letting go of pride when you find a rare love were so wise, and I can see why people admire her.
I really feel like the 2ML views Darim more as a possession, not even in an overly controlling way, but more that she has been a part of his life for so long, maybe she is the only thing that feels stable and real to him right now, and it's that he wants to hold onto. IDEK why he's turning down a hot, rich girl who loves his kid and seems to like him despite all his flaws. Like bro, are you serious? I wish we'd gotten more about his backstory and what happened with his first wife so we could understand and empathize with him better.
