The rating on this is way too low should be in the 9s for sure rn, if this came out a couple years ago it would be at like a 9.4 instead rn.

I loved the confession scene on the one hand, but also get nervous when there's a confession so soon, cause that just leaves a lot of episodes left for avoidable misunderstandings, noble idiocy, etc. Esp with evil Cousin/Brother scheming to literally destroy him, I foresee them having a really painful break up at some point and I just cannot handle it because I am rooting so hard for these two rn.

I loved the police station scene soo much, every time he would look directly at her like "are you watching this?" and her adorable beaming smiles. Also her genuineness when finding out he's her fan was so pure and heartwarming, I kinda wanted that dynamic to stick around for longer. Like I wouldn't have minded if he had instead just admitted he's her fan this week and then the confession next week. But at this rate are we gonna get a kiss by ep 6??!

Maybe the second half of the drama will focus more on the joseon backstory?

The fact that Mun Do was already that manipulative and cruel as a child means he's a literal sociopath. And he wants to be grandpa's heir and so has to make sure Se Gye can't ever supplant him. It seems like Mun Do has been doing well lately with receiving that award and making important business acquisitions, and so feels extra pressure not to have his position taken away at this point.

I had the same thought that even after they confess and start dating or whatever I want them to still bicker like this while trying to hide their smiles, like the dynamic between them is too good .

I have only seen him in one other SML role where he was the typical nice guy with an underdeveloped character and storyline, but there was something charismatic about him that I couldn't even put my finger on why, so I had a feeling he was going to surprise people here, but even I didn't expect he had this in him. In the other role his acting was COMPLETELY different, even all his micro-expressions and little movements he makes with his head or hands or whatever were completely different, like this is all just for this specific characterization. He's really made it his own and has made the character come to life and be really compelling.

I also realized how often I rewind scenes just to watch expressions of his, and I very rarely rewind scenes like that, he is just so fun to watch on screen.

Yeah and I will be glad when he does because I don't see how else he'd believe she is actually from Joseon era, and I really want him to have that realization at some point since he can't really understand her as a person until then

I'm also watching PC and this show is like... not even in the same solar system. PC is entertaining and FINE but this show is executing at a near perfect level so far. LIke this show is everything I wanted PC to be tbh.

Once PC ends this show is gonna skyrocket in domestic ratings, it's already doing really well on streaming where there's not competition during time slots.

I think it's how bold and smart she is, too, like he is used to being the fiercest one in the room and she challenged him from the first moment they met. He couldn't help but be intrigued by her.

I think he's going to bring her on as a concubine in order to control his brother, saying he will only keep her safe if brother does what he asks, which will result in brother dying somehow. Once the brother is out of the way he will get rid of her as well.

I mean this in the most complimentary way but he's always given me sexy dinosaur vibes.

I cannot believe that so many people were like ew who is this guy, like the man OOZES male lead, he is slaying here and looking damn good while doing it.

And I think people are not giving him enough credit for how impactful he's being against IJY's performance, like she is a powerhouse here and could very easily completely overwhelm even other talented MLs, but he is absolutely holding his own.

That red dress was STUNNING. She is so beautiful in almost an otherworldly way, she reminds me so much of the actress who played Khaleesi in GOT.

They both had to harden themselves to survive, and are very focused on their own ambitions, but they also both have a good heart and show it quite often already in the show. They're really fun and compelling characters imo

Every story has been told before, nothing is really new tbh, it's about the quality of the characters and interactions, and I could watch these two just hanging out at the supermarket for a whole episode they're that fun and compelling

I didn't expect him to fall for her so soon, I'm so happy with this development that man is already down bad and it's GIVING

I laughed so hard when he simply walked away from the bench. And the way his voice cracked when he started fake yelling for help in the stairwell such a great touch.

I also loved the scene where he was staring down the digestive aid and having a full on argument with himself about it, like his comedic timing is just so perfect.

I rewound SO many scenes just to rewatch his expressions , they are sooo funny.
