IJY looks like she is having a blast. She is so fully committed, and I can’t think of many other actresses that could pull the character off so well. I genuinely love every moment we spend with her.

HNJ is bringing so much flare and personality to a role that feels like it could have been way more flat as written. His little quirky expressions and rapidfire melodic dialogue are so oddly charming, and I genuinely love every scene he’s in also.

The two of them together are dynamite. So excited for next week already.

Heo Nam Jun is sooo different here than I'm used to, he has really made the ML such a vibrant and fun character. I feel he really was wasted on all those nice guy second lead roles.

It's a parody of makjang historical dramas, how do u not get that.

The shaman in the present mentioned that her soul and the new soul/body are one now, that it wasn't a soul swap, I think they're hinting that the past is the past and there won't be any story about the past anymore, just her trying to find her second chance at life now. I would LOVE that.

This is why I prefer enemy to lovers because that usually takes a longer time for them to finally get together and doesn't leave room for lazy tropes like unnecessary breakups or personality transplants or whatever else

Guysss ep 1 was SO GOOD. Characters, script, acting, visuals, directing, everything--CHECK.

1000000%. Why does almost every drama unravel at this point in the story. EVERY single time it's a forced break up/separation/misunderstanding that could be cleared up with a one minute conversation. I wanted more from this drama.

My only hope is that the 3 hour convo between I-AN and the PM was actually them being for real with each other, laying everything on the table including the burned will and the poisoning evidence, and coming up with a plan that will cause the least amount of damage to the monarchy and HJ. Cause you can't tell me the PM was just fine with letting the queen's father get off scot free after attempting to murder the prince and the queen for leaking the contract, or that I-AN wouldn't be digging into every corner of the palace to find everything he can use to clear their names.

I pray for a flashback next episode where we see the true plan unravel.

I love the actor but am annoyed because I was hoping for ONCE he wasn't evil. Cliche at this point

It would make less sense for him to have released it tbh. That document would not only prove the king named him as the successor, but like the Queen's Father said, it would implicate the Queen in the fire that killed the king, and harm the welfare of the young current King, and throw the monarchy and country into a scandal and chaos, and especially now after the contract revelations it would just make the entire monarchy look like a bunch of corrupt liars.

I assume he was trying to find a way to corner the queen and gain the throne behind the scenes that kept the document secret from the public, or a way to do it that would cause the least harm. I'm sure he is trying to find a way to use it still, but it would be kinda dumb of him just to release it now , it could backfire super hard.

I love angst, tbh, but the noble idiot trope is so overplayed in dramas, k drama writers don't even try at this point they are so lazy. It's esp annoying in this case beacuse HJ and I-AN have grown organically closer and closer and gotten better and better at communicating , and now HJ, who from the start has been ADAMANT that you don't back down, who never cared what the awful queen thought before, because of ONE LINE of the queen decides to just stop communicating whatsoever with I-AN, stop being honest with him, and break up with him, breaking his heart in the process. It's so dumb. And so forced.

So you're telling me the PM, who has been a hard-working, honorable man his entire life who cares deeply about his job just COMMITTED A FELONY cover-up of the ATTEMPTED MURDER of THE REGENT PRINCE by THE QUEENS FATHER putting not just his job and freedom but HIS ENTIRE FAMILY LEGACY AT RISK cause he LIKES A GIRL?? WHO DOESNT EVEN LIKE HIM AND HE KNOWS IT??

I really liked seeing more depth from Eric and seeing his issues with his sister. But man, it kinda came out of nowhere, I just wish they'd hinted at this a lot sooner and given him more of an arc. But I do like where his character is going, he actually feels like a real person not just some fanboy of Yejin.

It is SO like the higher ups of a corporation to only be concerned a product is within whatever standards and to ignore advice or warnings from people on the ground if it will cost them money. I've worked a lot of places like this so this was very believable to me.

The leads are just so cute and have such natural chemistry. Mechoori is so grounded and likes having someone to fuss over and Yejin brings a lot of energy and warmth. They feel like a really good match. I love all of their scenes together.

Yejin's mom is THE worst. I need that woman to get her comeuppance. There better not be some last minute reconnection between her and Yejin--I really want Yejin and her father to get closer again instead. Looking forward to Yejin working through her issues and also seeing more of the backstory with Mechoori and what caused his trauma.

Wow, I had no idea he was this thoughtful and dedicated. I don't watch many C dramas and just assumed he was a big star already. It's heartwarming to think he finally made it after clearly being so passionate and working so hard. He made me unable to dislike Qi Min even when I wanted to hate him. He was def a character that made an impression.

If people saw Heo Nam Jun walking down the street they would double take, if he was their coworker they would be thinking of reasons to walk by his desk, if they saw him in a coffee shop they'd sit to they could have a good view of his face. it's only in the MDL vortex that he's considered anything but what he is: very attractive.
