In the end when evil spirit was summoned, he appeared but he was only a (previous) host too not the original spirit right? Is it bc they "merged" before the body died or something? And why did he even have to die, evil spirit was freely body hopping bw Mayor & son.

Do u mean the rainbow? Counters get extra stronger when they're in it, Hana and Mun can feel/see spirits that step on it. It randomly appears except for Mun he is able to summon it at will.

It's not exactly about the romance but it still tells their love story from beginning and shows him as a romantic. Example gf was sick and he was away for a game but gf woke up with medicine & his cap on the bedside (he drove & back all night)

There are shows like Mr Queen with plenty enough content every week so I'm not feeling deprived after, but Run on is not about content but a feel (very) good drama so when you watch it you don't want to stop you want to keep feeling good haha
