I can't tell you, specifically, what kind of genre I like most: I like good movies and there are good movies of all kind of genres. ;) In dramas, maybe I'm more oriented to rom-com because i watch dramas more for the fun of it.

From your favorites, the only one I haven't watched is «Love Letter», since I liked the other four, I guess I should watch it. :)

Hello PrettyCarEye (and yes, that's my name). About the dramas you're right, but about the movies I wouldn't say that. Where did you get that idea? Maybe my MDL list is a little misleading - I like to watch movies from all over the world, not only from asia -, but I love almost every kind of movies, although i muss confess there was a moment in my life that I've been a fan of wuxia/martial arts movies. But, in fact, is far from being my favorite genre.

At the moment, I'm looking forward to this: http://mydramalist.com/korean-drama/7398/man-from-the-stars - mainly because of Jun Ji Hyun (as I told you, it was in part because of her that I begun watching korean dramas). Hana Yori Dango was my first japanese drama and I like it, just as I like Nodame Cantabile. But I haven't seen a lot of japanese dramas. Maybe you can recommend me some I might like?

I know what you mean. That's why Miyzaki let others direct «The Secret World of Arrietty» or «From Up on Poppy Hill», but as for the big question about what will happen to Miyazaki legacy, only future will tell. As for asian soap operas, blame IMDB. After seeing My Sassy Girl, The Classic and other movies like that, IMDB started recommending that I watch the drama Full House. Of course I give it a try and you can guess what happened next. :) What about you?

Hi. Judging by your favorites, I could have guessed that (particularly japanese classics). I haven't watched a lot of japonese classics, but I could tell you that Harakiri is one my favorite movies all time. And I second your opinion about Nakadai Tatsuya and Mifune Toshiro. ;)

I was asking because recently I started giving some attention to chinese cinema (blame Gong Li) and maybe you could give me a hint on other movies I should watch. But for what you're telling me I undestand that your knowledge is more targeted to HK entertainment industry (which, by the way, with Wong Kar Wai and John Woo is reponsible for some of the best movies I've watched).

No, I still haven't seen the latest from Miyazaki. I haven't seen Ponyo yet to tell you the truth (although this two are the only movies directed by Miyazaki that I haven't seen). As for the son taking over the legacy, I'll answer you quoting a very well know movie line: «Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn». ;)

Oh, so you're chinese. Living in England now, i guess? I found out korean cinema with Old Boy when it won a movie festival here in Portugal, and since then I begin watching, at least, the top hits coming from Korea. But I've seen you don't have any chinese movie on your list. You decided not to list them on MDL or haven't you seen any movie from your own coutry? :)

Hi. Thanks for accepting it. Princess Mononoke is my Hayao Miyazaki favorite movie and I loved almost all of them. Favorite anime? That's a tough one. Not couting with Mononoke and other Myazaki movies, maybe Evangelion, Clannad, Spice and Wolf, Black Lagoon... works by Mamory Hosoda and Makoto Shinkai... and the list goes on and on. Sorry, but I can't mention only one. :)

I've seen "Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter... and Spring", but i liked 3-Iron more.
Clannad is one of my favorites anime. And it's truly amazing how I thought Dango Daikazoku was an annoying song when I first heard it and then it became so powerfull by the time I was watching Clannad After Story.

Thanks. The pleasure is mine.
I also liked your favorites Memories of Murder and 3-Iron; and Miracle in Cell no.7 is a movie I hope to watch very soon. I watched Personal Taste recently and like it. Now I'm trying to watch Pasta and Scent of a Woman, but I must confess I'm not particular excited after the first episode of both dramas.
By the way, I love your profile pic: Dango Dango Dango Dango Daikazoku.... ;)

Hi. Right now I'm not watching anything because I just finish watching Personal Taste (and I like it). But maybe you can give me a hint on what I should watch next... ;)
