I like it very much when a drama gets better episode after episode. And how refreshing to have two characters that are honest both to themselves and between them. Ryota is still confused and Kazuhito will probably have a hard time, but that's much more interesting than the usual stupid misunderstandings and self-pity. Hopefully it will stay as good as episode 3 until the end.
Utterly stupid. It was okay at first and I was watching for the cute romance between Seiji and Japan, but what they did in the end with Ken totally ruined it. Thai productions are really so stupid and low quality sometimes. I keep thinking I should stay away from it, but I can't resist an handsome face like Seagames.
Once again they ruin everything by trying to be "all inclusive"... That 3-way thing between Seiji, Japan and Ken was really not necessary and just ruined the cute romance between Seiji and Japan for me. They should really understand that simple is the best, by trying to show too much they don't succeed in anything.
5 x 20 minutes is the length of a movie - I don't think more time is needed to tell this story. I don't know why…
I understand and agree with you in a way, but I don't think it's very accurate to think that way too, because a story won't be told the same way in a movie, which is supposed to be a unique time frame, and a series, that implies breaks between episodes. The rhythm and story development can't be the same. Overall, yes, this time seems enough to tell this story, but if it was in a movie format. It needs much more time to tell the same story in a TV series format, and I think that's the problem here, we have a movie type story that doesn't really fit with this TV series format. That's the way I feel it at least. ;)
I have really mixed feelings about "Gray Shelter", from the start. Since episode 1 I'm hooked by Jang Woo Young's performance, he is such a great actor, but in the same time something feels off with this story development. It can be nice to have the reasons for the current characters states to be revealed slowly over time, but that doesn't really work for a 20-ish minutes 5 episodes series format. Here it makes the 4 episodes confusing, even though the back story is good, the characters too and the acting very good. This deserved much more episodes to fully develop the story and the characters, too bad they couldn't do it. Still looking forward the last episode.
Im a big fan of JCW. But you can’t call KSH just a pretty face😅 He’s a great actor. But well we’re entitled…
Watching it, but for Kim Ji Won actually, and that hasn't change my opinion on him. :) He is a versatile actor yes, I have watched several dramas and movies where he acted, so my opinion is based on concrete thoughts. I never wrote he was a bad actor actually, but that he isn't a great one for me, just average.
Unfortunately the development of the story is becoming too dramatic for me, it's loosing its initial appeal, and Wei Qian takes too much time to finally give up and embrace his feelings, it's becoming boring. There was a 4 years time gap (not well made by the way), but nothing really changed. That's a pity considering the production and acting are very good and that it's finally a proper format (both in number of episodes and duration of each episode) for a men romance.
I love Ji Chang wook and he definitely deserved the nomination more than Kim soo hyun this time. But did you just…
Bringing him down ? Come on, I'm just a nobody writing a comment on a website, let's stop being overly dramatic for nothing. Some people here always react like someone life is threatened just because they disagree with someone else opinion. You can just write that you disagree and your reasons and that's it. Regarding your comment though, the awards are a competition, it's not like I'm just writing a negative comment to be mean, it's in a specific context were one actor as to be selected as the best one, according the judges of this competition of course. And in the end, you just do exactly the same by writing he is better than Im Si Wan and Yoo Yeon Seok, and that's fine, it's your opinion and I respect it even if I disagree.
I think BS is all about clout. When you run a search on google, you can find tickets being sold for the event…
I agree, and that's why I think it's a little bit annoying. Because it's the main Korean awards event and thus it has more influence internationally too. So the spotlight it brings to films, TV series or actors is always nice to make them more known to a larger audience. But you're right, in a way it put some publicity on him nonetheless.
I understand your concern but I don't care about stupid "fans" wars, and I won't refrain from sharing what I think just because some crazy people can't stand others having a different opinion. They need to understand that they can't force their opinions on others. I am all for sharing ideas and debate.
I don't think JCW is any less pretty face or less popular, if you think that made KSH get a nomination. Also,…
I don't agree with your latest statement but you are free to think what you want. Chang Wook of course his very handsome and very popular, much more than Kim Soo Hyun, and that's because he has amazing acting skills too, that's the difference for me. There are many popular actors or singers, but many are average. Doesn't make them less popular or good people, it's just a matter of tastes.
You shouldn't label him as an average actor just because you're not a fan. Think about how you'd feel if someone…
I feel nothing when people write that about Chang Wook, or I just think it's stupid and brush it from my mind, that's it. Everybody his free to have his own opinion, and because I'm confident enough in my tastes and choices I'm not swayed or feel bad because of some other people I don't even know and their different opinions. And I precisely disagree with his nomination because of his acting skills, it's not because I don't like him. I wouldn't have wrote that if I didn't think so, just like I pointed it was reasonable for the other 4 actors nominated, even though I don't particularly like them neither.
Yes I agree. The fact that future King Sansang is only presented as a supportive character in this sageuk makes me wonder, and worried, about what they will show actually. He should be a main character, just like Prince Bal Gi, as he is the one that Queen Woo finally supported to become king and keep the throne and her family in power. Seems like they will have Eul Pa So have a big part in that, he is presented as the second most important character of the show, which is coherent with his position. But considering the number of episodes, I'm now worried that we might feel like some things are missing. Well, it's an adaptation of a time we know little of after all so of course there will be a lot of interpretations from the scenarists. And there is also my personal concern, that I have from the start, about making Queen Woo a modern feminist character, to appeal to a large audience, even though she was not and deserves a much more intelligent representation. Months will be long until the release. ^^
Seagames.
