I understand that this is just a regular marketing gimmick. But, it made me wonder that Rain might have done the…
Well he did most of the stunts in "Ninja Assassin", and he trained like crazy for that role and was in top form for it. I remember watching behind the scenes videos at that time showing his trainings.
I love it. Honestly it started low for me, but every episode I like it more and more. That's so good when a drama is like that. Ye Jin and Jun Young make a great duo here, and Jun Young in particular is phenomenal in that role. Looking forward to the next episodes.
Of course he did, that's Rain after all. Jung Ji Hoon = Korea's Top Hot Daddy representative ! ^^ And he is a good actor. This pairing with Kim Ha Neul is good and the plot is interesting. Looking forward to this drama.
I don't like that his past love is a girl reincarnated in a guy. Before anyone comes for me, I have nothing against…
It is overdone, for sure (and totally stupid too in my opinion but that's another debate). As for the man reincarnated as a woman, yes, that would be original indeed, but unfortunately that's expecting too much from a Thai BL production. They always use the easy way, their plots are rarely original.
it hasn't even started yet and you are complaining
Well, it's a comments section, so yes, I'm free to share what I think if I want. I'm not "complaining", like you wrote, but actually shared my opinion, about the trailer and the plot it showed, so what ? When it's aired I'll see what I think and share it at that time too. Rather than just criticising others' comments it might be smart to share your ideas and opinions to really debate the topic, rather than just criticising others for their opinions. But maybe that's too much to ask here.
Well, very disappointed after watching the teaser. That's just a plot seen so many times with nothing original to it really. Daou and Offroad could do much better. Unfortunately this story looks boring to me. I was expecting so much about this one...
Until the last episode they had Ryota assuming things on is own, based on nothing... They really ruined this drama by starting good with a straightforward confession and then bring all the bad elements (miscommunications, self-pity, assumptions, characters away from each others, etc.) to the story development. Cutely making them ending together (with loosy kisses) don't change that unfortunately, it was obvious it would be a happy ending story ans that they would make an adorable couple. Sato Ryuga and Sakai Sho are really not to blame because they were really great as Kazuhito and Ryota, the rest of the cast was good too. But unfortunately I still think they really missed a big opportunity to have a great story here and only did another version of a story we already had dozen of times before.
Well, nothing original here too in the end. It's the exact same story we have had over and over. Miscommunications, self-pity, characters assuming certain things based on very little "clues", and next week the flashback episode that will show that Asami is head over heels for Yuki since college, etc., etc., etc. Japanese BLs have a unique atmosphere because of their culture and, the screenwriters and directors have a great sensibility to make romances in particular, there is also a strong appealing thanks to great young actors, but the scenarii really need some new and fresh ideas, because it's mostly the same thing recycled in different settings, over the years.
I really want to see Ji Chang Wook and Lee Jong Suk together in a thriller or action drama 😠their bromance…
I second that, they would make a fantastic duo. But I think I would love to see them as ennemies actually, because with these two phenomenal actors that would be epic.
but you're watching 32 y/o byeon wooseok playing a high schooler in lovely runner and you seem to have rated that…
As I wrote before, whoever the actor is, I think it's ridiculous, and it's the same for all the actors of "Lovely Runner" when they are high-schoolers indeed, but that's not directly related to my ratings of the overall drama, unless the actors are bad and the story too. I didn't wrote that it will make the drama bad or anything, I'm not the kind to judge before watching, but that I wish he would play a more interesting character for his level.
this is a remake of 21 jumpstreet, johnny depp was 25 or 26 while he pretended to be a high schooler there are…
If you're okay with it, enjoy. Him or any actor, playing such kind of role when they are way older than it is ridiculous, because it doesn't look realistic at all for me.
What is wrong with this role? A character having to juggle two identities will always be interesting.Ex. Lee Do…
"A character having to juggle two identities will always be interesting." For sure, but not when it's an actor who play a role that is much more younger (or older) than himself, and thus makes it totally unrealistic. At least for me. Him or any other actor, I found this ridiculous, but good for you if you're okay with it, enjoy.
I'm still not okay with the idea of Kang Joon playing an undercover high school student, that makes no sense. With his skills he could surely find a more interesting character to play seriously.
Oh my God, such a disappointment. They still don’t understand what viewers want after all these years of producing BLs, seriously. Because considering all the comments that are shared for all BLs every year everywhere, it’s obvious people are sick of that kind of stories. It's always the same. I don’t understand why they keep building their stories around stupid misunderstandings and miscommunications, overreacting about nothing and ignoring other things that are obviously important, then there is always the two characters being apart when one of them want to confess his feelings, or one that hear things that he takes to heart and makes him distance to the other, etc., before being reunited and finally ending together. It's just frustrating. They had everything for a great show: really great young actors, interesting characters, nice set-up, a straightforward confession at the beginning but then they ruined everything until episode 7 with all the bad elements they could find. And once again everything will be « solved » in the last minutes with the last episode. That’s always the same annoying pattern. The only thing that makes us (at least me) keep watching these kind of dramas is the charisma and appeal of the actors they smartly choose, and for Japanese ones the overall setting and atmosphere that I like, because the stories themselves are mostly boring, only a few are really original over the years. I’m really not happy about this one because episode 1 and 2 gave me great expectations. Such a waste.
Such a gem. I wanted to watch it for Yu Shi at first, and the Kazakh setting made me even more interested, but I never expected it to be this good. It's such an heartwarming and beautiful story, simple and profound at the same time, with a very nice poetical and philosophical side. The production is very good and needless to mention that the sceneries are stunning. Yu Shi definitely didn't disappointed as Batay (he is really promised to a brilliant acting career), but all the cast was great actually. Every character was interesting, especially because they were not just simply good or bad people but all had their good and bad sides portrayed, it increased the realism. This series is one of the best surprised I ever had and I'm glad I'm watched it. It really felt good to watch this story. Higly recommended.
I will go first.Since the beginning, before Ken expressed his feelings for Seiji and Japan wasn't even known by…
That "three-way couple" is probably the worst thing in this series. It ruined what was interesting between Seiji and Japan at first, As you described, it doesn't make sense at all that Seiji suddenly has the same feelings for Ken when they have shown from the start that he had only eyes for Japan and always view Ken more like a brother and not a lover. Even for Japan or Ken, it just looks forced the way they suddenly think they should equally love each others. It just look like two idiots pitying a third, and not a genuine relationship where three people have the same feelings all for each others (which I believe is impossible nonetheless, whatever some people say). That's the problem with Thai productions, they want to be so inclusive and portray so many possibilities that it becomes ridiculous. No wonder the overall quality is so low, but the crazy fans still support these things so they won't stop.
The production is a little bit messy for this one. Transitions especially are not well made, thus it feels like the overall quality is lacking a bit for me. That's too bad because the dynamic between Kazuhito and Ryota is interesting. And it's a little bit disappointing that next week episode will focus on their high school days, based on the preview. Considering the quick confession I expected something different. It's not bad, but not quite where I thought it would go after five episodes.
Rather than just criticising others' comments it might be smart to share your ideas and opinions to really debate the topic, rather than just criticising others for their opinions. But maybe that's too much to ask here.
