they threw a bunch of dumb stuff in this episode after an amazing plot buildup ofc ppl are gonna be upset
It was obvious were the plot was going indeed, but the path they choose in episode 10 seems silly for a lot of people. Yeom Hwa could have find the ring in another way, making Pyo Ji Ho so stupid to ask her for help was really weird, just like letting her wandering freely when it was obvious for the others characters that she was still up to no good. The result could have been the same in the end, for me it was obvious from the beginning that at some point the General would have sacrificed herself one way or another, but the way they choose to go to that result doesn't work for me and many others. And it's because it was so good until episode 10 that the disappointment is so great. But it's good for you if you are okay with that, at least you don't feel disappointed like others. I don't see the need to be vulgar when writing your comments though. ;)
How unfortunate, for me they messed up the story in the last episode... This drama could have become one of my favourites, but they kind of ruined that in episode 10. It doesn't make the drama bad as a whole, but the story development was really bad written in the last episode. Why make Pyo Ji Ho so dumb that he went to Yeom Hwa for help and thus created all this mess when he knew perfectly she wasn't a good shaman ? The fact that Yeom Hwa was left free to do whatever she wanted when everyone knew that she was bound to do no good was already a flaw in the story, but it could have been okay if she had managed to find the ring by herself. But that story development doesn't work for me. And based on the preview, I'm not sure I will like how they will resume and end the story in the last episodes. That's really unfortunate, I had really nothing to complain about until episode 10, I had only praises, but now I'm really disappointed, because it was so good.
Nonetheless, one thing is sure, Choo Young Woo is a god of acting and he is proving it again with this drama.
One thing I miss the most about the old network dramas is the beautiful and amazing photobooks that were made following the airing. The big "Behind The Scene" and the five "Photograph Collection" photobooks are some of my favourites amongst my library. Streaming platforms kind of killed all the great content and items we had around dramas, even behind the scenes videos or photos are not as good as the ones from TV networks for me. Yes, just a random comment because of the lack of content of our dear Chang Wook.

There is a difference between expressing an opinion and being hateful thought. I don't think he receives that much hate nor negative comments. Look at the number of likes for the article and the majority of the comments here, he is loved by many fans. But like any other actor he will have detractors and antis too of course. That's nothing new.

Since the beginning, many years ago, I think his popularity is overrated because I never found him good as an actor in what I saw him. It's my opinion, based on my tastes. I was born well before 2000, watch more movies than dramas (from all over the world actually), and I think "Queen of Tears" and "Lovely Runner" were mediocre dramas. So it's stupid to do this kind of generalisation.
It's just a matter of taste and likes. And honestly, the Overseas Hallyu Survey, just like any polls, isn't a true representation of reality. It sure mesures a certain level of popularity, but that doesn't mean it's absolute. And as for many things, popularity doesn't equal quality or true talent too. Considering the numbers of morons popular these days thanks to stupid things, it's even more true than ever.
Good for him if he is loved by many fans, but it's only natural that others people can find him overrated too amongst the many Korean actors.
Young Woo received the "Best New Actor" award at the Blue Dragon Series Awards for his role of Yang Jae Won in "The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call" ! Congratulations ! ==> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZRp_TJzV-o
And also the "Best Drama" award for "The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call" and "Best Actor" award for Ju Ji-hoon !

Well, apparently we are fools because there is nothing gay at all in all that, so if there is no homosexuality, there is no homophobia. How convenient. Our brains must not work properly if we think that two men engaging in an emotional and sexual relationship on screen in 2025 is a representation of gay men. Even if one of them says he is gay, he is not !
His deer eyes, sensual lips, strong arms and body. This man is so alluring. He exudes sexiness in such an elegant way and is so charming. ==> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOmi2UpvxS0
I have loved him since the first second I saw him in "You Make Me Dance" but he is really becoming better and better every year. Such an amazing actor.
It's just so good, I'm so happy about it. It's been a while since a regular Korean rom-com felt almost perfect to me. I really didn't expected that for this one. Of course being a big fan of Choo Young Woo and Kim Mi Kyung I knew it would be nice, but all the cast is doing great. Young Woo and Yi Hyun have an amazing chemistry and I wouldn't mind watching them paired again in the future. Only the character Ji Ho was a bit annoying in the last episodes (it's such a looser and pathetic attitude to go for a girl you already know is in love with another man, who loves her too), but it's okay because they didn't pushed it too far. Definitely the best Korean drama I have seen about shamanism so far. I hope the last four episodes and the ending will be as good and won't disappoint.

Thank you for giving me hope again about the comment sections. <3 There are still people who can accept that others can share a different opinion, even a negative one, without lecturing them for their tastes but respectfully exchange their views and takes on it.
I thought the same thing but I'm also giving it the benefit of the doubt. I think Japanese culture is very different…
You have a good point indeed on the cultural aspect of it. These two episodes were enough for me, I'm moving on. ^^ I hope you enjoy the next episodes.
"and pursuing her work as an actress." She is mainly an idol, not a single role in seven years (!), and this news as nothing with acting... You really have nothing more interesting to write ? Something related to real actors maybe ? Or movies ? Dramas, no ? I see plenty of such news you don't report on here thought.

"K-Pop Demon Hunters" was released on Netflix June 20th, so it's only been 28 days. Which is even more impressive.

Thank you. ;) They are not from me, I don't have this talent, but I commissioned them to a very talented artist I know.
@ KesRit "So no, it does not represent gay men".
I'm really the foolish one indeed. Sorry professor.
