So many (usually innocent) K-Drama characters perish on the roads after getting hit by the almighty White Truck of Doom.๐๐
WHY CAN'T THIS EVIL OLD HAG DIE LIKE THE USELESS VERMIN SHE IS??????? ๐คฌI HATE HER WITH EVERYTHING I HAVE๐ฟ
I've had enough of her crap. ๐คฎShe can't keep abusing Ju Yeon like that. ๐กIt's time to join her beloved son in the afterlife (although I doubt she'll find him, she's hellbound). โ ๏ธJu Yeom deserves to be happy, dammit ๐
hey, I can only watch one drama at a time... tell me, which one should I watch? buried hearts or undercover high-school?
I'm watching both dramas, they're completely different and love them both but if someone told me to choose only ONE I wouldn't think twice.
"Buried Hearts", hands down!!! ๐๐ฅ The story's more intriguing and the characters are definitely more complex. The pace is so fast and it doesn't have a single boring moment. It keeps you guessing all the time!!๐
"Undercover Highschool" does have its share of mystery but it's leaning more on the romcom side and it's set mainly in a highschool setting with 18 year olds (ML isn't 18, just pretending to be). It has lots of hilarious moments.
"Buried Hearts" is darker and more serious. I guess it's up to someone's taste.๐ I'd advise you to watch them both, whichever you choose first. They're not to miss!!! Both MLs are INCREDIBLE and their stories are so interesting. I'm so invested in both of them โจBut Park Hyung Shik is giving such a stellar performance here, he's completely different than all his previous roles๐ค๐. ๐He's exploring a whole new side of him, not his typical sunshine personas. ๐ฎHe's got a dark, dangerous aura that makes me super excited for his next project in which he'll actually be the villain ๐ฅ๐
"Buried Hearts" is seriously the best K-Drama I've watched in a while. It deserves these amazing ratings. Wish it streamed on Netflix though!!! Park Hyung Shik's best role yet ๐ฅ๐ค
1)The background music during the meetings was probably the most annoying thing I've ever heard as a movie/drama fan in my entire life. ๐คขThe hell???? It was as if a serial killer was about to enter at any moment, as if people were getting chased or murdered while they were just talking about economics. ๐That was SO bad, my whole body cringed.๐
2) We got a loooong exposition about the protagonist from secondary characters and he himself was shown only for a few minutes. We got soooo many meaningless scenes, the restaurant scene with the lawyer, the other one with the realtor, the hiking scene with the CEO and they were completely redundant, not adding much to the main plot which should be grabbing our attention instead. ๐ดNothing interesting there.
3) The entire episode was ECONOMICS. ECONOMICS. ECONOMICS and definitions of economical terms. Literally, nothing else. ๐
4) ML looked apathetic AF. No grand entrance or something. He didn't make me feel anything about him. ๐We just know he has silver hair, they call him Whjte Snake, he caused some chaos when he left Sanin Group and he "buys and sells things--->companies". That's it. There's nothing that draws a viewer to him.๐ถ
(and that's coming from a HUGE Lee Je Hoon fan who regards him as one of the BEST Korean actors out there, having watched most of his works and was anxiously waiting for this drama๐)
Such a bad impression, this premiere left me with... โน๏ธFar below my expectations. I'll give it 1-2 episodes more to decide if I'll keep watching or not but I'm not too optimistic.
Just hoping they expand and focus more on who the ML truly is, why he is back and if he has a revenge plan in the works.
No no no it rather not beHe will be uncle of fl then๐ซ๐๐
It's quite possible it's her, I guess, yeah.
I personally wouldn't mind the tragic twist of them being related, although I would hate to see either of them doing something drastic out of desperation. I just mean, Korean writers wouldn't choose to present such a relationship because they'd be condemned to hell by the majority of the audience. In the thousands of hours I've spent watching Korean content, I think I've seen incestuous relationships once or twice. One was in "Moon Lovers"(brother x sister/ half siblings but that's "acceptable" because it's historical fact) & in "Oldboy" (let's... NOT talk about that because it's absolutely horrifying).
No no no it rather not beHe will be uncle of fl then๐ซ๐๐
I doubt they will actually make it an incestuous relationship. If Dong Ju is somehow part of the Daesan family, that will mean Eun Nam is not. Korean content rarely ever shows such scandalous bonds.
Aahhhh, you expect me to wait a week after that ending??? ๐ญ Noooo!!!
The story's getting darker (me gusta of course, I'm all for the chaos that's gonna follow ๐ฅ)
Park Hyung Shik is SO DAMN FINE in this drama and I'm gonna go ahead and say this is my favorite role of his hands DOWN. ๐๐คโค๏ธThat dark, crazy look in his eyes, I LOVE IT. ๐ธ It's a new challenge for him and he's absolutely acing it.โจ
Can't wait to see him play a villain in "Twelve". ๐
Sneak peek from episode 6 ๐https://x.com/SBSNOW/status/1898176849903042973?t=cFfohsQ3QNCKljRxtJW0TQ&s=19
This is after the events of the torture chamber. Looks like Yeom and Il Do "saved" Dong Ju (they're pretending to be on his side).
Dong Ju told them "I won't ever forget what you both did for me today". He asked everyone to give him some time to collect his memories and remember who shot him (he already remembers though, in ep5 he had a flashback to Il Do shooting him so he's probably buying himself some time to figure out his next moves).
Dong Ju is playing everyone, I just know it. Even before the "amnesia", his plans were far bigger than becoming CEO of one of Daesan's subsidiary companies. Y'all may have missed the series highlights video that was released a while back before the series premiere. In some scenes, he gave ๐ฏ% psychopath vibes. ๐จDid y'all see the 4th wall break in the last scene of episode 5?? It shook me!!! ๐ณHe straight up looked at the audience and LAUGHED while cussing just as they were about to drown him again and he KEPT laughing underwater until he started losing consciousness. You gotta go back and watch it if you didn't catch that. He's a mastermind. I trust the writer. In their previous work "Money Flower" (which has many similarities to this one) the ML slowly but surely gave everyone what they deserved. It was a plan like 20 years in the making.
I can't wait for episode 6. I feel like the revenge is starting next week. It will be glorious ๐
don't y'all think it's his masterplan? he probably remembered what happened to him in the past and intentionally…
I'm actually thinking this is the case... Did you see how he went "ssibal" when they started torturing him?? Like he expected that. He literally smiled at the camera, it was kinda scary.!!๐

"Seong Hyun", the name Dong Ju remembered and used as a kid means the one who is worthy to succeed... ๐ค
What if... That means... HE is the one who is meant to be the Daesan heir... ๐Somehow...?
