i started this as a big fan of the movie and i won't lie, it was pretty hard to adjust to the drama format. i kept forgetting who was playing who and every new scene would catch me off guard. but it was such a good and intense show. it didn't feel too similar to the movie (so not repetitive). i was on the edge of my seat at times. overall, really well done and worth the watch if you're a fan of the movie. just don't expect it to be the exact same, even the characters.
hard to say i enjoyed this, but also hard to say i didn't. it was super intense at points and at others quite boring. i'm not entirely sure what the main message was supposed to be. it was frustrating, yet thrilling. the last episode is absolutely scarring (yuno). cast did really well in their respective roles. it was enjoyable, just not very good?
she forgot about them entirely because if she had never remembered her past lives, then she would've never ran…
very true. it makes you wonder just how much she actually remembers. she went back to her racing job though, dunno which house she went to though lol. maybe it's cuz i'm so used to terrible open ended endings, but i was actually pleasantly surprised with how much post-memory loss content they gave us. i swear it's always like a single scene where they see each other again and look at each other in a freeze frame as the credit roll π my jaw would drop if they'd ever dedicate an entire last ep to that.
anyone recommend me very similar dramas like king the land. i have alr watched business proposal, swdbs, and whats…
honestly, you've already watched most of the kdramas i can think of that are similar (like buspro, hpl, wwwsk, 1%, love to hate you, etc). i think it's sorta been a more trending genre recently with the workplace fluffy romcom stuff. the only one i can think of that you haven't seen yet is the secret life of my secretary, but it's sorta ever so slightly kinda toxic
this was my first ever drama so it holds a special place in my heart. i think i even rewatched it and i'm not a rewatcher. but every time i think about it, it's actually such a bad drama π if i watched this now, i'd probably rate it quite low. not just for the toxicity of the couple or the unconsensual fish kisses, but also how slow most of it is until their university days. like that horrendous time skip between high school and college where they SOMEHOW made hyunjoong's hair look worse??? and the (if i remember correctly) annoying side characters yada yada ya. it's interesting how this originally hooked me into dramas lol, but at the same time it's kinda a comfort watch
The hype is all artifical. Its basically fans of the ML & FL already deciding beforehand that no matter what they…
i wasn't a big fan of either actors and thoroughly enjoyed it. didn't read the webtoon (didn't even know there was a webtoon). not even a big fan of romances.
if you want to enjoy something, try to not go in with high expectations from hype because you'll more than likely be sorely disappointed. you don't have to judge others who enjoyed it just cuz you didn't yikes. everyone has diff povs and preferences yk...
To me the ending was so unfair with the people who love her! I mean, she could forget the things about her past…
she forgot about them entirely because if she had never remembered her past lives, then she would've never ran away to aekyung's house or gotten to know chowon or seoha. they weren't exactly stalkerish either, they were trying to get close and start over. similarly to how jieum did her whole new life with her past lover and sister. it's a bittersweet ending, but it's also necessary for jieum's soul to finally be free from the torment of the curse
Itβs not just me! I rated this bad boy a whooping 9/10 and raved about it in my notesβ¦ itβs only been a…
omg πππ i rated it like an 8 and couldn't remember any scene besides their fight training. i thought it was cuz of the few amount of eps, but there are others that short that i still remember more of. maybe we all collectively turned our brains off watching π
not at least one person needing medical attention on every day off and not every character conveniently being within vicinity to hear important gossip over them πππ
8.5 for the touching episodic medical stories. romance is okay, not a fan of the age gap (which is very noticeable. even after they were together it was hard to picture them together). not a fan of the tsundere/bubbly shoujo trope. it's more awkward in live action than animated or drawn. but nevertheless, it was a feel-good, cute watch. i binged it within 3 days and i'm not a binge watcher.
I've never been able to stand the whole falling for a walking red flag who's treating you like dirt trope. It…
to be fair, she had a crush on him years before when she thought he was nice. by the time she found out he was toxic, she already invested 5 years into it and was most likely blinded by her love. that being said, i didn't enjoy the toxicity much either. but at least he was better than other toxic leads i've seen
you know, i just noticed that in pretty much all of his roles, he always has his hair down in that puppy bowl cut style. when is he gonna get a role where he has his hair up like in his pfp? he looks so good in it
