i loved this drama more than i thought i would. initially it took me forever to start it. i kept watching ep 1 and then moving on to other dramas. but i finally finished now and i absolutely adore it. i think being familiar with the industry makes you appreciate this tenfold. the way it changed the bl landscape to be more than just another university plot, one of the first thai bls to explicitly show the pride flag, and including real life activists to fictionally combat the very real oppressive thai government. considering gay marriage wasn't even legal during this, the flag scene felt so impactful.
the story is very meh imo, but this show is absolutely CARRIED by ohm and nanon's chemistry. truly one of the most natural romances (and maybe cuz ohm and nanon were already close friends) you'll watch. the relationship from start to finish felt so natural and i personally adore what they did near the end. such a must-watch and also a great beginner bl.

yeah and the reasoning also just being "because he was rude" felt so weak. maybe the point they were trying to make was what pure "evil" was considering the wife was smiling after killing the husband, but the rest of the show never brought that message. husband witnesses his wife kill a man for NO reason and instead cleans it up then kills a teen boy like???

not only was it random too, but i feel like they revealed it too early? so for the last 3-4 eps i feel like we were just waiting for the main characters to catch up on info we already knew instead of us discovering it with them.
they also made the wife so caricaturely evil??? like moeun is fantastic because of how morally grey she is, but then to suddenly throw in a comically evil couple felt so off compared to the rest of the more serious/realistic story.

EXACTLYYY. i don't really call myself a bl fan either. i just remember there was a scene in this where he put a bag over his head and lowkey kidnapped him and tied him up to a bed and i was like uhhh????? were we watching the same drama? was i watching the right one? cuz why was everyone saying this was such a good show and every time they interacted he was literally being forced and held down? 😠seriously though if luoyin was a girl i feel like watchers would absolutely lose it
he is so great at acting. always steals the show for me, even if he's not the lead. i love his vibes. like he truly feels like an ARTIST not just an actor.

i truly understand where mio is coming from and why she acted like that, but as a viewer i was also wishing for some type of character development or a point where she'd grow to love herself enough without masato. i thought we were gonna get that in the last ep esp when she stabbed him. sadly not.
that being said, WTF was that last episode. why and how tf is masato this superhuman being who survives severe head trauma bashing his head against a rock, getting stabbed in the back with glass, rolling down a cliff after an EARTHQUAKE, and crashing his car to the point it FLIPPED AND EXPLODED. be fr. letting him live or not get justice at all left such a poor taste in my mouth. the writers so desperately wanted viewers to sympathize with him because of his traumatic past---that all of these murders were justified. why else would they want to let him live at the end? unless they're planning on making a s2 or smth (which i doubt), leaving mio unchanged and letting masato free is basically slapping all DA and murder victims in the face. truly, were we supposed to be rooting for masato or smth?

the romanticization of murder, mental health, and domestic abuse is crazy. the ending is so baffling as a viewer. i agree with the other comments...what WAS the message the writers were trying to convey to the viewers? where is the growth? what did they want us to takeaway? because i'm getting so many conflicting messages. it was interesting enough to finish, but i'm not super sure it was worth it.

i'm sure most of these votes came from fans voting for their fave on-screen heartthrob perfect 10/10 male lead. there's a big difference between visuals and seeing someone as more attractive from their charm lol
i enjoyed this series a lot. fun revenge sports-like startup drama with some (mostly) likable characters and exciting plot. santi was a bit frustrating to watch esp in the middle, but i didn't think it was a dealbreaker. what i love most was how maturely they treated jane and liam's story. too often they romanticize emotional cheating in these shows, a lead leaving their abusive or toxic partner for the other lead. but liam is such a great guy which honestly shocked me. it even moreso shocked me with how they treated the workplace feelings with honesty. it's natural to catch feelings, but true love is when you can be honest about it and not act on it. it was so refreshing to watch (plus i'm a sucker for some good friendship).
all-around well-crafted. i only wish they didn't rush the ending so much. 8.5/10.

santi did get annoying but if you didn't drop it you'd see that xiaoyu didn't actually cheat or anything. i actually find it so refreshing how maturely they handled the topic of catching feelings for your coworker but not acting on it or letting it derail your life. it's natural to catch feelings, but they treated liam and xiaoyu's relationship so wonderfully. they didn't ruin her character at all.
