the reason for returning was bad and ryuji is annoying, but idk i lowk liked this season the most ngl

i believe this season was based off the manga "alice in borderland retry" where they do go back into the games after escaping. granted, it's very different from the manga, but so were the first 2 seasons.

personally, i HOPE it's a coming of age story and not against curly hair because i'm exhausted by that trope. i'm hoping that since it's a modern tale they'll have modern views, but i guess time will only tell.

how do you know this is a movie against curly hair? it's a metaphor for her life. it starts getting tangled and curly, like her life, so she tries to straighten it. how do you know by the end she doesn't embrace her natural hair given to her by her dad? is it not nice to get representation of different hair types too?

it hasn't even come out yet. koreans naturally have curly and frizzy hair too. they're not making fun of it. it's a coming-of-age story where her hair starts to curl and tangle as she's older (inherited by her father's curly hair) and with it her life also starts to tangle. she tries to straighten it to stop the tangles aka her trying to straighten out her life, but it prob won't work and she'll embrace it by the end (based on my prediction). how can you judge it before it even comes out? it seems like it's a metaphor, not the old dramas with the chubby glasses nerd and transformation or whatever.

vincenzo holds a strangely special place in my heart. had i watched it alone, i probably might've dropped it, let alone rated it that high. however, i watched it TWICE, once with my sibling and another with my friend (as i was introducing her to kdramas). because of the characters and the found family aspect mixed with the comedy and action, it was surprisingly good for new fans to explore multiple genres in one. it's simply a comfort watch now because of all the great memories associated and my friend made me adore the found family because of how much she fell in love with them.

this tragically DID happen in real life. this movie was based on the gwangju inhwa school case and it truly opened the eyes of the korean public and policies. this movie quite literally changed korea forever, but the circumstances to come to it were horrific.

i love the 8 show but it's so funny cuz everyone in the 8 show's comments always compare it to squid games and say it's worse. so the cycle continues lmao

vincenzo is such a strange drama because it's tonally all over the place and completely not what you would expect from the premise or cover. but it's such a damn good comfort show with such an amazing found family. i love it to bits.

of course i know this because it's squid game so she had zero chance of living BUT I'M FOREVER GONNA MISS MY GIRL HYUNJU I HOPE SHE GIRLBOSSES IN PEACE 😭

i think that's pretty natural to though. granted, most of the greedy characters in this felt like caricatures and were bumped to the max "evil" level, but we saw in s1 that even if they left, they have no life outside of the games. they would've come back anyway. so even if 456 warned them, there's no other option. look at how excited namgyu and myunggi got killing people in hide and seek. everyone was too far gone at that point.

i enjoyed most of this season but i'm still SO upset at how weak the front man and gihun confrontation/reveal was and how the brother confrontation was basically nonexistent. those are two of the biggest moments the show was leading up to and both miserably failed.

pretty much everyone died in s1 too. more characters actually made it out of this season than s1 aka 246 and the baby.

i thought s3 was better than s2 lol. eps 1-5 were great imo.

i think that's the point though, no? we're supposed to be frustrated that the games continue and the bad guys "win" because we're supposed to reflect on humanity and what morality means. greed and power will always exist, but as long as we feel angry enough to choose selfless acts like gihun, then you keep your humanity.

at the beginning the mother said she'd have to use it if necessary and not only do i think she was trying to protect the baby, i don't think she wanted him to experience killing a mother and baby in order to live. i don't think he could personally live with himself after that. he technically didn't die from her stabbing him, but he died because he didn't kill someone in the allotted time. but it's obvious she regretted being the cause of it.
