Oh this was delish. My first time hearing this spoken to an ML by an FL in ANY DRAMA - I have almost 600 completed shows under my belt 🤣😂🤣😂

We still have no clue what gears are moving their hearts and minds.. we know only of XF and Duke Su goals and motivations.

TERRIBLE ROMANCE - the writer needs a lesson on Drama Romance 101 expectations of the audience ..

I was expecting a 10/10 too until the writer screwed up the entire ROMANCE thread .. SO bad that it became a total MESS.

I truly didnt expect anyone to come to this thread .. the last entry was some 2 years ago .. and others like 12-8 years ago.

I might consider going back if you tell me that at some point Vic get all HOT for Chen and there are MORE kiss scenes ..

You see I am a SUCKER for romance (esp between bad-assed characters) even it's hint .. especially if it is a very important part of the whole story ;-D

For example "CRUEL CITY" have you watched that?

p.s. I dropped it .. too messy and tangled thoughtless mess .. am sure it was a change of scriptwriter or something who had NO idea what happened in the first half of the story and went off on her / his own trip (DREAMER trip?)

Do they quickly dispel this for the viewer and have some more 'angsty HOT scenes' between Vic and Chen .. Or do they keep showing 'heat'beween them EVEN as they know they are sibs.

It's a TOTAL TURN OFF for me :-(

The ONLY drama which was able to 'pull off' a similar set up was
"That Winter, The Wind Blows'

ALSO a 'thriller' - how did they get around it?
- one party pretended to be the bro .. for ulterior (duping family of money) motive so we are OK to go along
- sis is unknowing and but she starts to suspect and cools off and later is very wary
- sis has a complete breakdown (but we aren't turned off - because WE KNOW there is NO incest)

In this WE KNOW their is 'incest' because the story established WITHOUT DOUBT that they are bio sibs - AFTER they have done skinship BIG TIME.

No hint of that it may not be so.

The WORST is the introduction of a dull - candy FL role who is not established in the 'set up of important characters' in early eps; no build up AT ALL. She is plonked suddenly Midway in the show; and ALL this pent up rom (first love) stuff is raised and ended in 2 - 3 eps???

WHO GOT the flutters watching them swinging at the Amusement Park - I prolly would have taken an Instagram break .. I got more flutters watching Chen Li all emo learning of this trip.

FL is drawn FLAT WHITE ANGEL WINGS with ZERO definition next to these well etched out 3 D Main Roles. She gives these 'dental advt' smiles and I wished I could either write her OUT of it .. OR CUMMON make that a STRONG SOLID FL with proper fleshing out and SOME colour and SPINE with some SERIOUS investment in their connection buildup.

I mean one would imagine that she would be a passing blip in the Vic story .. the larger ROM angle being with Chen (that is the ONE that seethed with PASSION).

I don't know I was like SO mad at being cheated of a show with great potential and the GORGEOUS Vic and the spunky Chen

YES they did have a HOT SIZZLE of a kiss followed by few more heart fluttering HIGH HEAT INDEX CLOSENESS and dialogues..

I have ONLY watched KDramas and CDramas till date .. and am used to the the 'push and pull' .. the 'giveaways' of who ends with who, so expectations are almost 99% met .. the ML - FL setups are not difficult to guess and root for.

I have been fooled ONLY maybe 4-5 times (during my 600 plus drama journey over 4 years almost).

I couldn't understand WHY the 'sizzle set up' though; for a bro and sis ??? It's like the WORST kind of yanking the viewer's chain!!!

AT least the CDramas - KDramas .. that pulled a hooky on the viewer HAD A REASON .. it made sense at the end.

This set up made NO sense for me.

I watched ONLY till Esp 6 and we are learning about the ML's "sad story"

Maybe if I had watched this in the early days of My drama watching I might have rooted for it.

It is for sure BETTER than a lot of dramas I have watched till date.
This is probably only my second Taiwanese Drama .. DRAWN here by Vic Jhou.

I LOVED the role he essayed in Black & White - it was UNIQUE .. NEVER seen a character like that.

But DROPPED B&W around EP 15 (it got ALL MESSED UP and ridiculous actually) It had the WORST romance angle EVER .. the writer played tricks and jerked the audience around UNTIL the END.

SO BOTTOM LINE : I was watching this ONLY for Vic Jhou - he is sizzling HOT to look at ad the way he moves and the EASE with which he wears his roles .. Did BRILLIANTLY in this.

What's with his latest Drama though ?? REBLOOMING BLUE?? With Victoria Song!!

Eeeesh .. I don't if it was the Victoria Song Effect - she shows NO chemistry with her MLs IN ANY DRAMA of hers .. so she dried him up ?? Or Vic Zhou has lost his skill?

BTW before Victoria Song admirers get pissed let me make it CLEAR - she is a BRILLIANT ACTRESS .. and I chose to watch RB FOR her .. BUT she hasn't worked on her 'romantic acting abilities .. and HOLDS back on the heat .. always chilling cold .. worse than Song Hye Kyo.

These are all my reactions to her .. to the Dramas etc ..

But if its an open ending it also means there is NO future skinship between Chen Lin and Zai Tian to move the odds towards that

A HOT chemistry was developed between an ML and FL who end up being siblings .. WHY?? Why jerk the audience around this way.

The drama collapsed completely for me after Ep 8 or so
