As someone who resonates with the whole "being a parent to your parent" thing this episode made me weep like a baby, i could relate and feel tee's desperation deep in my bones, the suffocation he must have felt every day, the facade he put up to hide his despair, his wish to live a normal life, his desperation and guilt to have involved someone till it ruined him. It was just too real. Also, this is NOT a redemption ark, we have simply been given a background to his character which has been hinted at throughout the previous episodes, this is not a series about redemption so stop saying that. Finally just because things are not going the way you want them to go it doesn't mean that this series is bad just because the writer didn't go for the narrative that you yourselves have created and pretended. Having said this, this is one of my favorite episodes so far and i can't wait to see the finale because we're in for a mad mad ride so fasten your seatbelts and be ready.
"I will be cautious claiming that this is a match made in heaven" omg it's not that deep. Triage is one of my favorite bls but even so it's clear that it lacked that cinematographic quality that boc can provide. I don't know what your beef is with boc and the ceo and i don't care but your comment is very out of pocket as i was just talking about how sammon good plot and boc quality is a good combo. Also, Sammon is a grown woman and she wanted herself to collab with boc (by approaching them first) so stop acting like she is some kind of victim when everything is going pretty well for this project.
Yes it's fiction but it's interesting to read different opinions for each behavior and character... 😊 Although…
Absolutely! i'm all for opinions, like i've said it's a show so obviously it's made for us to talk about it, good or bad that is. My problem is when ppl take things beyond those opinions which is why it's nice to remind not to take things too seriously :)
Boc and sammon is a match made in heaven, every episode keeps getting better and better and that to me is shocking because generally by ep 9/10, especially with bl series, i would be bored out of my mind but this oh god it keeps us on pins and needles and i can't wait for all the cards to be uncovered. Btw, i feel that some of you are taking things a little bit too seriously, this is a product of fiction which means that it's meant for us to enjoy (or not), to like or dislike whatever character/ship we want and still have our morals intact, it's not that deep.
is there a way to make them release one episode a day because how am i supposed to wait another week??? btw i like tee more and more, his character is so interesting to me that i can't help but root for him
i can't wait another week, i need all episodes out already cuz the way the plot is plotting is making me shaking with excitement, it's been a while since i felt this way
Don't quote me on this but from what i've got they already started the world tour in a very dire financial situation (kp was a HUGE investment) so that only brought more expenses for them and on top of that the money they've made from that was not enough to make up for the losses (which should have been expected).
so how are we feeling about the lineup? i've seen a lot of people complaining about no season 2 and the lack of projects but personally i think that if they can really give us 3 series and a movie this year, for a small company (and apparently in debt at that), it's not bad at all, it's almost too ambitious lol Btw just dropping to say that i miss kinnporsche and our the daily discussions but call me delusional i'm sure that one day we will get the second season we deserve <3
it's all over kptwt ( this is just one of the many posts i've seen: https://twitter.com/JansenPolly/status/1586996733573271553), idk who spoiled it first or if they're a reliable source but atp i wouldn't be too surprised if it turns out to be true.
spoilers ahead but did i just read that kim is going to r word porschay because of jealousy?? wtf are these authors doing? like what happened to wipped kim? what happened to chay being a sulky baby because kim didn't respond to his ig stories? How tf do you go from there to this?? Are they planning to ruin every couple after all the shit they have to go through in those 4 books? Seriously these authors can't write shit to save their lives...
update: someone spoiled me and i'm not okay, i will never recover from that's just too sad fuck the vegaspete…
i don't think you can find much info easily, daemi asked not to share any spoilers so ppl are afraid of being reported that's why most things are said on spaces or on dms but yeah for now this is all we've got, i hope it's all a big ass joke cause how can you fuck it up this bad, that's basically just creating more emotional trauma for two ppl, especially vegas, that are already fucked up on their own, like i would understand if it was relevant to the plot but this is not... We will have to wait for the actual translation and see but i don't have any more hopes for this book tbh :/
update: someone spoiled me and i'm not okay, i will never recover from that's just too sad fuck the vegaspete…
so i was in a twt space and they said they heard from a thai fan that at the end of the novel macau jumps off a building in from of both vegas and pete... I don't know if it's a translation mistake or what but this is the spoiler version that most accounts go by.
update: someone spoiled me and i'm not okay, i will never recover from that's just too sad fuck the vegaspete…
okay i'm pissed, the more i get to know and the more i believe that those authors pushed the shock value a bit too far, i hope this is just a big translation mistake cause really how do you even think of doing something so shitty to your characters? especially vegas, yes he is a shitty person but does he deserve to suffer this much emotional trauma? I'm pissed and sad, these characters deserve better authors :(
Long time no see guys, hope yall are doing good so i'm here to fish for some info, the new vegaspete book dropped and someone tweeted that they read the ending and cried but forgot to specify if they were tears of joy or not, does someone knows something more? Do the tears have something to do with the character death warning? So many questions and so few spoilers lol (yes the authors asked the fans to not spoil anything but honestly fuck them, they at least deserve this much)
i've finally finished the first story (nott and pan) and i have some opinions, mainly negatives so if you can't take these kinds of talks because you can't bear your fav show being criticized do not read, you've been warned. Also no I'm not an expert, never said that i am one, and if i sound condescending or too judgey i apologize that's not my intention, however, i'm very picky when it comes to what i watch so this is just MY personal opinion as a watcher, please don't take it too seriously. Okay, let's start! While i did find the plot promising and important as it touches upon serious problems of the bl industry, and i would argue the entertainment industry in general, the acting and directing/editing haven't lived up to that, which resulted in me not being as emotionally engaged as i should have been and that's probably my main problem with this series. I feel that there were too many cuts and jumps from scene to scene which interrupted the flow of the story and made it very difficult FOR ME to feel the emotions they wanted to make the audience feel. Also, another thing that has me conflicted is the way that bl dramas like this one make their point in calling out the "fakeness" and problems of the industry (as they should) while also feeding into the delusion of the fangirls/boys, hence the possibility that between these cps there's more behind of all that fanservice, and that makes me conflicted on how i should feel. How can you call out this kind of industry and not address one of the main issues which is the shipping and the toxic shipping culture as a result? Just food for thoughts (yes i know that this is just 1 of the story but from the synopsis of the others and the fact that it is a bl drama we know where all of this is going). Another problem that i've encountered is the plate being too full, let me elaborate on that. They touch on a lot of different problems but they never go deep into them, not even one (we have the sexualization, "prostitution"/"companionship", the disposability of these actors, the exploitations of young and impressionable minds by the hands of money-hungry managers who literally take these young kids from their home with false promises, the corruption, the ruthless rivalry, etc...) There was too much on their plate and they had too little time to elaborate on all of that which is fair i guess but i would have liked if they at least focused on just one thing instead of bringing up all these things and themes to never be properly addressed. And in addition, they tried to tell a love story between these two actors. It was too much. I know that they only had 5 episodes but if you can't finish what you started, don't start it, that's my personal philosophy lol. This plot would have been perfect for a 12/14 episodes series, but with only 5 episodes there were just too many things on the plate and not enough time to explore all of them which overall makes this first story feel TO ME kinda superficial and shallow when it could have been so much more. Also, can i say that it's kinda weird how all their acting scenes in babymafia (?) involved some kind of spicy/nc scene? Like i get that some bls have too many nc scenes just for the sake of it but c'mon even the smuttiest bl has some kind of a plot so if their intent, among all of that mentioned above, was also to call out this "problem" i think they failed because ironically it makes the series also fall into the "series with nc scenes for the sake of it" category.
Now onto the positive things because believe it or not i'm not a hater lol. Like i said i was not a fan of the acting however i feel like i need to give both of them props for taking such challenging roles. Like i predicted these kinds of bls who have lots of dramatic scenes/mature themes need experienced actors or actors that can immerse themselves perfectly in the characters, and unfortunately, especially seng seemed to have a bit of difficulty as he always looked restrained in all his actions, especially in the more emotional scenes which is what at the end didn't make me feel all that emotional about the whole story but i also get it as the character of pan is a really difficult character to play. I enjoyed billy's acting, he sold me his character (sure in seng's defence, billy's character was a lot "easier" than his so...) yeah, difficulty level aside, billy is the one that shined the most for me and i kinda enjoyed his performance, all those smirks and smugness really added on the charm of his character. I like that these characters were far from perfect and kinda shitty people, i know that this infuriates a lot of people because they want likeability but honestly this is what makes them feel more real, i like to see this kind of realism even if it leads to frustration but i would say that in these more mature dramas it is needed. So, yes to the characterization! Even though i found the camerawork very questionable, the last episode was shot the best, there were lots of scenes where the cinematography enhanced the emotions portrayed by the actors. Pan and Nott last scene on the babymafia set was beautiful, the lighting set up the whole heartbreaking atmosphere. Nott spacing out at the party deep in his own thoughts while everything around him slowed down, it is probably the most memorable scene for me. Then we have the goodbye between pan and koon, the set at the gas station (?) was really good and clever as it kinda reminded me of an old western movie, the last showdown between the two cowboys.
Again, these are just my opinions please don't attack me, i know that this show is liked by a lot of ppl and i can totally see why, i swear i get it, but unfortunately it didn't do all of that for me. I will probably tune in for the next stories to see if the flow and the "worldbuilding"/set up of the story improve but i don't see it coming due to the short amount of time they all have. Well, this has been very long so if you've read all of it thank you and pls continue to support what makes you happy <3
