i said this before i watched the finale: Honestly I feel like huwei and bomi will be the endgame in the show but…
In my opinion Huwei is just really slow at processing things and he is not good at expressing his emotions - so he is not easy to read. Their pace is totally different. If Bomi has enough patience and doesn't push Huwei too much I think they can have a future together. Like Huwei said to Bomi at the footbath in the beginning: What warms up fast also cools down fast. So he is a slowburner. (I am similar myself. It will take time for me to develope feelings and I like to take things slow.)
sorry this made me laugh but it's true we are never recovering from more than words
More Than Words if one of my absolute favourite dramaseries ever. Sure it doesn't follow a Hollywood like drama pattern, but it is deep and raises many thoughts. I also thought the ending was good. I have watched it about 10 times so far. And will surely watch it again in the future.
I guess William is incapable of saying he is not interested face to face, he just knows how to ghost people.
Like instagram is the reliable source on how people are REALLY doing in their private lives.. :D Everyone so honest there..
Anyway, you just behave the way you do and you'll see. I am pretty sure I am like decades older than you, so.. "Sitä saa mitä tilaa" ja "Niin metsä vastaa kuin sinne huudetaan.." :)
I guess William is incapable of saying he is not interested face to face, he just knows how to ghost people.
Sure sure.. Just do that. It is a free world.
For me the biggest joke was when William was "crying" and needed so much comforting from the others when telling everyone how he got traumatized when a guy he was dating suddenly ghosted him (even after introducing him to his parents). Buuhuu..
I was like: Never heard of karma?? The way you treat other people will surely come back to you someday and most likely when you least expect and wish for it.

I meant it is Willam's fault for not saying he is not interested now when they met again. What "feeling sorry for"..? He is going to dump Izaya later anyway - I guess when he can do it by disappearing rather than being honest face to face. He is a f*ckboy without b*lls.
And p.s. You should not ghost anyone. Even those people who you don't love are humanbeings and deserve to be treated respectfully.
Huwei… Even if his mother said that no matter what he’s still her child… The fact that she said “can you…
Huwei's mother was just in shock cause she heard it for the first time. Huwei told already before that she wished for like atleast 5 grandchildren. Since the mother said that the fact that Huwei is her child will still never change means that she already strated to accept it. Many times it is not so much the parents not accepting the sexuality of their child but rather being afraid how difficult their life will be in the society. And speacially for those who are the only children the burden of not giving grandchildren can be heavy. I am the older sister in our family and my mother kept pushing me to marry and have children untill my little sister did, then she left me be. Just having my sister's first child being born and everything changed. She has not asked me about marriage and kids even once more after that.
I’m still a bit confused with Hiroya though and what he was trying to convey to Tomoaki… He said he has prejudice…
In my opinion Hiroya meant all the substance use, hooking up, f*cking aroung what is going on in the gay clubs, bath houses etc.not only in Japan but all over the world. He is sensitive and wants to protect himself from that. Tomoaki just lacking selfesteem and can't take it that someone is different.
It was a beautifully made movie, but for me it reminded me mostly of my cousin who after years of drug use went into psychosis and got diagnosed with schizophrenia caused by the heavy drug use. He never recovered from it. All his life ruined. What a waist of a beautifull human life. I could say the same here.
BTW, was this based on the true story since there was the dates with the name Kafka Tam in the end??
Please don't get me wrong, I also felt very bad for Hiroya but I understood where Tomoaki was coming from. He…
I know some older gay men who have spent their youth in these surroundigs which are much about substance use and hooking up, f*cking around etc. and later in life they have realized how much it broke them inside eventhough when young it felt like "fun". (Like clubs, bath houses etc. and the same stuff happens in every country from US, Asia to Europe.) So Hiroya wanting to protect himself from that and avoiding those circles and places should be appreciated more. Gay people are as diverse in nature as straight people they are just too often stereotyped into certain boxes.
I have no idea why I feel so strongly about this that I want to comment this here, but the situation where Tomoaki made Hiroya cry just because of his own low self esteem felt so unfair for Hiroya.
My personal example is this: I am a Nordic, non-Jewish person, but I lived in the past in Israel cause I had an Israelian Jewish boyfriend. The past few years when ever I have mentioned this - and the fact that I really loved my time there and the (Jewish) people around me - to some new people I have met, I have mostly gotten hate and dislike because of that. Like I am a bad person talking positive things about Israel. But am I offendend?? Does it hurt my feelings? Do I stop? Ofcourse not! It is my life and my experience, these people know nothing about it and most of them never been to Israel anyway.
So in my opinion the situation did not happen beacause of Hiroya but because of Tomoaki's own self hate. He should work more on himself insted of blaming other people.
I love Jobu, he is so funny. I hope he was my friend. He'd surely be up to trying all kinds of crazy stuff. (And I am NOT talking about drugs or stuff like that..)
I'm genuinely confused.... ended up abandoning the show on ep7. Too many storylines happening 😭
There are two lines for the same story: The first line is with when Great is able to see 4 minutes into the future, so he is able to change his actions based on seeing the possible outcome first. The second line is when he is not able to see into the near future so things just happen and he has to live with those cosequenses. I have not wathed the last episode yet, so I will edit this if there is something special there.
Exactly my thoughts. He is too dangerous for Izaya who is a sensitive person and seeking a real serious relationship.
Most likely a narcissist. They are usually incapable of feeling empathy towards others and everything is about "poor me me me and my emotions". And always wanting to get positive attention.
I think William is just super selfish. He is all the time saying how HE got traumatized, but he was the one who…
I don't see anything genuine about William. All his actions are fake. Would be nice to be wrong, but I am quite sure that he will just go through this show and then it will be over with Izaya.
No matter what kind of trauma you have it is never an acceptable excuse to be an as*hole and treat other people badly. Go to teraphy and deal with it there instead of causing traumas to other people.
Sounds like you are trying to explain your own bad behavior through Willam's.. There is no acceptable reason to treat other people badly. It is pure selfisness.

You are right. For me the final moment was when in the bus Izaya was telling William about her mother's death and how it affected him permanently and he was crying and William did not comfort him at all. He was just staring out of the window, no sign of empathy on his face or in his actions. Like if you compare it to the last season and how Dai started to cry when Shun told him, he did not have a family and that he grew up in an institution. (That is empathy.)
Like how cold and unempathetic person can you be to not to show any comforting reaction when someone tells you they lost a person that was so meaningfull to them??

(Last season I did not have anyone I disliked, bit this time W.. I really could not watch him.)
