Exactly my thoughts. He is too dangerous for Izaya who is a sensitive person and seeking a real serious relationship.

And the thing that Kazuki said they broke up not so long ago after dating for 15 years and then he told at the food truck that his dog died last year at the age of 15. So he both broke up with his ex and lost his dog around the same time. I really felt bad for him. But the fact that he is thinking back the past years with his ex and goes trough the things that happened is also a form of therapy and helps to let go. Maybe he was not even ready for a new relationship yet and needed to do this first to really let go of the past and look into the future with a clear heart.

BTW, I think he said they broke up because after all those years there was no spark left anymore.. Like staying together was more like a habit or a routine.

I think William is just super selfish. He is all the time saying how HE got traumatized, but he was the one who ghosted Izaya before and said he was meeting so many people at the time he could not even remember Izaya that well. So he must have done that a lot (meeting and ghosting people). When Izaya told him in the buss that his mother had died and was crying a lot, William was just staring out of the window and did NOT comfort Izaya at all. Zero empathy was found on his face or in his actions. Then when they were talking about cheating, I think he said he kissed another guy while dating someone and then when that someone found out about it he cheated Willam really hard. And again William got tramatized. He said it was not his fault cause I guess kissing in his head was not cheating, but if that kissing hurt his ex so much that he ended up cheating William as a revenge, then ofcourse it was Williams fault and he started it. Seems like he has no ability to selfreflecting and everything is about HIS feelings. He needs assurance from Izaya eventhough Izaya was the one he ghosted before. So traumatized so traumatized.

(And I can tell you I was groomed and r*ped in the past by a man who convinced me he was a normal good person so I know what having a trauma means.)

And I am personally in love with Huwei now.. He is so adorable. Like a big panda. A bit slow but gentle and when wanting to say something, so carefully forming his words and always something interesting comes out, I would want to hear more of.

The latest time Bomi and Huwei were working in the cafe truck I was like how come Bomi did not even once ask if he could hug Huwei from the back. I mean if I was there I would most defenetly wanted to do a back hug while Huwei was working on something. The a bit cramped truck was just a perfect place for such.

But I do like Bomi too. He is cute and funny with his reactions, so I do hope their relationship grows and they end up together for real.

I have only watched the ep 1 so far, but I wanted to write this here to see, if my hunch is right or if I am complitely wrong: I don't think this guy William is for a real serious relationship, he is most likely a player and a f*ck boy. The way he talked about marriage: "I would like to get married cause it would be fun to call someone 'my husband'.." If you compare it to Shun from the season 1, he said he wanted to get married and grow old with the same person. Atleast in the west there is this type of gay men who just want to get married to have a huge wedding party to their friends and it is all just for the show. It is not for the life long commitment (like Dai and Shun). I am quite sure William is this type. Just wants to have fun and F around and in the end he is dangerous for those sensitive boys who will get their hearts broken because of him.

Edit: After 5 episodes I still have not changed my mind. He is a smooth talker, but I don't find him genuine at all. (Also in the end of the 6th episode Izaya told him about his mother's death and was crying and William was just staring somewhere out of the window NOT comforting him at all. Not showing any empathy what so ever. I am afraid Izaya is going to get his heart broken again.)

But even if it was only a kiss, if it hurt his ex, then it was his fault, he started it. I think he is VERY selfcentered and not empathetic at all. It is all about HIS feelings. Not the other peoples'.

It had a common start, then three different possible life outcomes (different universes) for the same person in three different locations (Busan, Seoul and Daegu), yet all those outcomes ended the same way: No matter how his life went, what decisions he made, they always ended with meeting up again with that long lost friend.

It was really good. Also beautifully filmed and good actors. Specially liked the young male leads. They were good at showing emotions on their faces without saying anything.

It had its funny moments, but I did not find the physical violence funny at all. So over all I have to say, I did not like it. The actors were fine, I have always liked Yokohama Ryusei, but that was not enough for me. In my opinion violence is just not funny at all even if it is meant to be humorous or a joke.

How funny cause I did not feel the chemistry at all. I just felt they were acting it, but it was not real. I have seen many Japanese dramas where you can actually feel the chemistry between the actors, but this was not one of them.

I did not feel the chemistry. I have seen both actors in many dramas and neither of them were at their best here. The movie was well done and beatuifully filmed, but in my opinion it lacked real emotions.

Have you ever truly been in love?? I have and as I see it, if Shane loved Jonathan no woman or a man could have come between them. Just like Jonathan realized he could not be with Carrie cause he loved Shane, the same would have happened to Shane too. What I was left wondering is if by sleeping with Jonathan Shaun actually gave Jonathan a possibility to let go of his (unrequited) feelings for Shaun.

Okay. So Yong Joon had this parasite "boyfriend" who was basicly living off of him (YJ even sold his body to buy meet for him to eat) and then you had this North Korean guy who actually loved and cared for him, but YJ treated him like trash.. I could not finish the movie. Just made me feel ill. (And I don't think the nc's were so bad. For me it was the mental content that pushed me away from the movie.)

I saw the trailer and could not recognize Takeuchi Ryoma.. SO different vibe than in other of his works. And since I really like Machida Keita's acting I am waiting for this. Hope it gets released with english subtitles somewhere..

Uuuh.. It started ok and I liked Kikuchi Fuma in Usokon, so I was really wishing this would be something good.. But the Maki-character was so irritating. I am 40+ old woman and I often like the Japanese story telling, but these kind of older female characters make me so frustrated. Like being unable to communicate what you think or feel and then blaming the other person for not making you feel secure.. I had to leave the last episode. Just could not finish it.

Adding to what the previous commentator answered to you:
I am a Finnish woman and I lived one year abroad when I was 18 years old and this was the time before the mobile phones.. I used to write 10 page long letters (by hand) to my friends and cousins and whom ever.. I could only call home twice a week so that was the only way to gather and share my thoughts.

When you are in the army it is a similar type of situation. You are separated from your loved ones (family, friends etc.) and you might sometimes have quite a lot of spare time when you feel that separation and loneliness and miss those people - all of them - but also can not contact them. So then to ease that sorrow you write your thoughts down for them, not only to share your thoughts, but it kind of makes you feel you are closer to them.

In the army you sometimes have lots of spare time while surrounded by people you don't know so well. So it is only logical to write your thoughts down for someone you care about - be it a friend, a relative or whom ever.

This was a very good movie. Beautifully filmed, like you used to have this type of movies coming from Europe and East/South East Asia in the 1990's and early 2000 quite a lot. So a bit nostalgic.

How I see it at least partly it is a story of a man who is stuck with some things in the past (not to reveal the plot) and because of that can't be open to the future. Beautifull and intense.

Reminded me of my all time favourite Hong Kongese Wong Kar Wai movie "In The Mood For Love"..

And it is often caused by a traumatic incident in a person's life which their mind can't handle. So kind of a way of escape. Some people might "cross-dress" for the same reason.

Yes, I started to watch it and just finished the ep 4. I do like it.

In general I also like more the Japanse actors who look like normal natural people. The Korean actors often look so unnatural these days with all the plastic surgeries, botox and also the filters used on the editing table. It is easier for me to relate to the more natural Japanese characters.
