On Our Youth: After Story Feb 16, 2025
I don't understand how some people thought of this sequel as it was pessimistic and negative.. Both boys had parents that had gotten divorced and so they knew marriage is no guarantee of the "living happily ever after". Like Haruki said: Even if we can not get married, I will stay by your side. That is the only thing that really matters. (No matter if the couple is straight or gay.)

Well no, that's not quite accurate. They did give you a heads-up about it being over the top. The entire drama…
@JUSTICIA Seriously, why are you so aggressive?? I recommend you start meditating regularily, it helps. You obviously need to relax. I am here to read comments of the drama and I want to see everyones point of views, if you are not describing the plot in detail then it should not be hidden under the "spoiler tag", cause I won't read those. Honestly you are attacking people for nothing. This place it not only for you, it is equally for everyone with any and every opinion.

I just watched up to episode 10 and what the heck was that? An user below suggested I watch until episode 7 and…
@DragonBall I have been watching lots of K- and J-dramas over the years (close to 200 K-dramas and atleast 100 J-dramas) and I think the biggest problem in K-dramas is that they have this obsession of certain amount of episodes. So often they make a drama - which Japanese would use around 10-12 episodes max. - to last 16 episodes by force, eventhoug the story would be better cut shorter. I guess it has something to do with the channels where the dramas are shown, they want dramas that have certain amount of episodes, but I have seen so many K-dramas that were interesting in the beginning and then became boring or weird cause they had to force extra storylines for it to last longer. So the same story would have been really good, if it was cut to less eps. I tried to watch this (Love Next Door) because of the actors, but found it too pretentious for my taste.

Ouch! Why? I am episode two and enjoying it.
I tried to watch it beacause I have seen both leads acting in good dramas before, but I am only in the 2. ep and this feels too pretentious for me. Lately I have been watching more J-dramas and they often dive very deep and the characters feel more like real and ordinary people.. So I am wondering if it is because of that I don't really like this or is it really this drama itself.. Like should I try to watch it further.. ?

as someone who HATED the original drama (esp the jaeeon character), is this worth giving a try?a friend of mine…
How funny.. I liked the Korean Nevertheless and still think it is one of their best romantic dramas. Most of K-dramas are complitely unrealistic fantacies which do not relate to the real world/relationships at all. Surely nice entertainment, but only that. Nevertheless was really realistic and could easily have been someone's real story.

Was not a fan of the ending but overall its a good drama, very close to reality and human nature, life is not…
I was happy with the ending. With Rika Kanji always felt like he was not enough. She was so spontanious and special and he always felt like he did not really reach her level. The drama felt like a roller coaster ride, but I enjoyed it.

(In the end it is not the person you can have most fun with, but the person you can cry with when you feel hurt and weak..)

Both. It is "what ever option you find best for you and your partner.."
Well.. An unborn baby will never know it was not born, so it is for the parents to decide what is best for their unborn baby: To be born or not to be born, if the living circumstances are too difficult, sometimes it is better not to be born.

Wow! I loved it!

In K- and J-dramas there are so many unrealistic "princess stories" where the couples in the end get married and "live their lives happily ever after", which are nice entertainment, but not connected to the real life at all.

I have just watched two excellent J-dramas in a row picturing romantic couples in a more realistic way: The first one was "1122 Ii Fuufu", which was about married couples in their 30's and now this "Ano Ko no Kodomo" about teen agers.

The issues in different stages of people's lives vary and lots of unexpected things happen on the way to any kind of a couple. Whether the couples are able to go through with those things together or if they'll end up separating, no-one knows before hand.

For those who yearn something else than the fairy tale stories for a change, I warmly recommend to watch these both!

moral of this story is men are the WORST. even when a woman sucks, a man will find a way to be worse 😭🤣
The moral of this story is that if you in your relationship are not open and honest of your thoughts, wishes and things that bother you, you will end up drifting apart from your partner and possibly seeking comfort from somewhere else. Long lasting relationships are never "..and they lived happily ever after", they - just like life itself - are full of different unexpected happenings and phases which you either go through together as a couple or then end up separating.

It was one of the best dramas I have ever seen. If you are in your early twenties the story line might feel too weird, but being in my 40's I can tell you this is REALLY realistic, no "princess fairy tale" but actual real life..

It is difficult to remain our closest relationships for a long time unless we are open and honest of our thoughts, wishes and the things that bother us. And not being able to communicate well then easily leads people drifting apart. I loved how the main couple's relationship evolved through the series in a realistic pace. I would give it 10/10 which I basicly never give to a drama, cause it means it is close to being perfect.

Title Dear Sa-chan Spoiler
I liked it for being one of these J-dramas that are out of the box. You have no idea what is going to happen next and how it is going to end. But that Sacchan-character was so difficult to watch: She behaved like a 12-years old kid and was suffocatingly clingy.. Like who could actually have a serious relationship with a child. I really wished they would not end up being together in the end.

Title Hirugao Spoiler
It has an idiotic ending.. In the drama series the wife did not let the guy to divorce her, but forced him to stay with her and then when she could not force his feelings in anyway in the end she killed him?? So what is the moral of the story?? It is okay to be so obsessed with someone that you can kill them, if they do not respond to your feelings?? Is this really the writers point of view on how other people should be treated??

Cheating is awfull behavior, but if you are in a relationship where the other person cheats you (or has cheated) how do you benefit yourself by forcing them to stay with you??

I would definitely divorce immidiately, deal with my dissapointments and sorrows and then move on - just for my own sake!! Honestly who would be happy in a relationship where the other person is forced to stay?? Just miserable future for everyone. (Even for children, if they are envolved..)

I have to add that Koreans made their version of the series "Love Affairs In The Afternoon" and this time have to say, they did better. Often I like the Japanese style more, but this time. This was f**in' sick!
