OMG, why did I start to watch this before all the episodes are out.. I usually wait untill the whole series is out and subbed since if it is good, I can just binge watch it all at once.. I love both main charaters and Tojo could almost be me (in my real life) and I would most definitely fall for Tanaka. What a beautifull voice he has!!

i found the open ending annoying .......
Yes, me too. It kind of fell flat since the drama itself was quite intense with everything that happened..

I really like this drama. It is much better than I expected, but from a Finnish person's perspective this consept of not being able to get a divorce if the other party disagrees is so weird. Like in real life people can refuse to divorce and keep that other person imprisoned for life that way. And what do they gain themselves by doing that?

In Finland (and I think most of the European countries) if one person wants to get a divorce, she/he will get it. No-one can be forced to stay married just out of revenge or other such reasons.

I can't get over Rei Sawamura acting in this drama. I loved his character in Happy of The End and after watching that drama several times I just still see him in that character.

The drama is good. I don't think it's just about the issue of infidelity. I believe that viewers from Western…
Also in Japan traditionally marriages have not been based on romantic relationships between two people but rather being a deal between two families - the husband's and the wife's. So if you read about the history of the Japanese marriages there are lots of texts about affairs and prostitution. In the Japanese context the marriage has rather been a bussiness deal and people rarely married someone they loved or had feelings for. (I know some Japanese women born in the 1940's and for them it still was like this.)

Title More than Words Spoiler
Many people seem to be botherd by the thing that this drama doesn't have the type of "happy ending" they are used to. Sugary sweet happy endings come originally from U.S. and the Hollywood movie tradition and has not been typical for the story telling elsewhere before that. Fex. Disney made all the traditional European stories like the Snow White, Little Mermaid, Cinderella into these simple, happy ending, easy watch cartoons. The original ones were not like that at all. Fex. the Danish author Hans Christian Andersen's stories mostly ended horribly sad.

From my perspective this drama has a happy and beautifull ending, it is just not sugar coated: Makki, Eiji and Mieko had all lived with these painfull emotions since Makki left and after meeting up again they were able to face those emotions and that is where the healing starts.

Makki found a man who is gentle, genuinly cares for him, supports him and even encouraged him to meet his ex instead of selfishly being jealous and trying to keep Makki only for himself. In the end he also told Makki that he is very dear to him, still leaving space for Makki to heal, not to try to push him in any ways.. As I see it, in the end they will all be fine.

When you get broken it takes time to heal, but you eventually will, if you are able to face your emotions and grow further.

I started to watch this drama after a longer break, I think this is my 5th time.. It is so well written, beautifully filmed, I love all of the three main characters and the actors.. It is emotional, pretty and sad.. Not an easy watch, but that is what makes it such an excellent drama.

One of my favourite Japanese dramas: Two lost and lonely souls find safety, comfort - and a reason to live - in each other.

I like it specially because it is a drama about making a drama. I studied film making in my early 20's and this perspective gives it another vibe. I also like the manga kind of not so natural acting. It was clearly a chosen style and the a bit stiff characters and situations made me smile many times. I think I have watched the drama three times now and I will surely rewatch it in the future again.

:D ! I am at the episode 10/14 now and there has not been a boring moment.. Lately there has been so many K-dramas that fall flat at some point that this is super good and well written - and acted too - compared to most of them. I really did not remember I found this this good! I am happy I accidently bumped into it again! I hope you will enjoy watching it again too.

Me too! I watched it once when it was just released and liked it and now it came up somewhere and I started to rewatch it (I am at the 7th episode now..) and it is very enjoyable! I love the characters and it is not only the main ones but the side characters too. They actually have a personality and a meaning in this drama. The topics are not light at all but it is made in a way that leaves you with a smile on your face! :)

I just like Lee Jun Young as an actor. I saw him first time in "Good Casting" (2020) and he always throws himself into these somehow crazy characters. One of my favourites of him is the movie "Love And Leashes" - I have seen it many times and never grow tired of it. (Also the FL is good in it.) So I started to watch this just because of him. We'll see how it turns out to be..

Title A Distant Place Spoiler
I wish I could..
I did not see it like this.. I see it as an open ending.

I also did not think they broke up. Hyeon Min just got hurt and angry cause Jin Woo blamed him of everything. Which sometimes happen in relationships when during an argument people say nasty things they do not mean.

There was lots of symbolics of the beginning of life (the little girl) and the end of it (the old grandmother) together in the same scenes through out the whole movie.

How I saw it is, that Jin Woo had made up his mind of leaving with his sister and Seol - maybe going after Hyeon Min too - but he had the farmer's words in his mind (about staying) - otherwise we would not have seen that scene - and then watching the baby sheep to be born..

I think this was left open with questions like: What is important in life? Where do you really want to be - belong - and what does that mean?

The movie has lots of beautifull scenes.. Specially with the little girl and the grandmother - both the beginning of a human life and the end of it - in a same picture frame.. Where the life starts and where it ends - if you get to live to be old - and then everyone has their unique life in the middle.

One of the best Korean movies I have seen. I think I have watched it in all 4 times during the past 5 years. Allthough it is a tuff watch because of all the bullying and violence the story is so well written and the movie well directed and acted that I always come back to it.

People watch movies and dramas with all kinds of violence, murders, torture, war and all that it is totally ok…
You said: "It is simply disgusting.." Would be nice to hear what you think about all the violence, murders, torture etc. in the dramas?? You think it is all disgusting and you never watch any it??

I think this drama was just realistic. The teatcher was really fighting with his emotions. Things like this can happen. It is just a drama, I won't have nightmares after this.

I don't know why so many people seem to dislike this so much. I think it is a nice drama with an actual plot. They could have made it longer to deepen it a bit more, but the way it is I like it.

For those people who wanted more "hot scenes" then obviously for them it is lacking, but in my opinion not every BL story needs them. This was a short story about healing from an abusive relationship and finding ability to trust someone again.
