I don't think he's bad actor, but he does have his limitations. For example, with romantic scenes, he acts quite…
I'm in the same, I really don't think he's a bad actor. Whenever I see comments like this, I'm like I must be blind or stupid?
Do I think he's an Oscar winner level, no! (I don't know the Chinese equivalent?) But I've seen so many worse actors also getting lead roles consistently. For rom coms I think his acting works well/fine, he probably would struggle taking on more complex characters in a difficult story and as you said really high emotion scenes.
I do agree that he probably get's a lot of roles/fans due to his good looks, but that's literally every popular actor in Chinese entertainment. Humans are obsessed with looks and the culture around beauty standards in East Asia is so intense. They hold good looks in very high regard and talk about them/praise them constantly.
I like Dylan Wang, loved LBTFAD and agree he's improved. But I don't think he's a fair comparison, he is always dubbed by a voice actor because his Mandarin is not up to standards and he's not a strong enough actor. I'm sure he will continue grow, and I will happily watch his dramas and support him, but it's not like he's made some miracle turn around.
I did love the series, I've finished it now. One thing that I found confusing - why does ML look so smug when Sang Yan finds out about ML and FL dating? Like dude, it wouldn't hurt to look a little contrite? Obviously Sang Yan shouldn't have beaten him up but I don't think it's unreasonable for him to be upset.
I don't wanna brag but it's a Saturday afternoon, my house is clean, babysitting is done and I'm about to binge watch this bish. Starting episode one now 🦚
Can someone pls recommend a novel for me like the novel of this drama
"If The Moon Won’t Hold You" has a similar vibe. Currently there's only around 50 chapters out of 74 translated on Novel Updates but it has a similar themes/plot.
when you subscribe to Netflix does it have all the drama available? korean and Chinese drama too. I don't have…
Do you mean other Korean and Chinese dramas? It has some but not all. New dramas tend to be released weekly also so they don't have all the episodes up straight away. I'm in the UK and I generally find between my Netflix and Viki subscriptions I can watch most of my fav dramas but I've found more on Viki. What's available will depend on where you live.
