Just finished episode 9 thinking 10 would already be up. what a mistake!!!

This is a critique of hair and makeup and not the actor, but they've drawn Chen Xing Xu's hairline so thick it looks like he's wearing a wig. Also is some lights there's an overly yellowish tinge to the make up around his jawline. It seems like they've tried to cover facial hair but it just looks rubbish - doesn't match the rest of his face and neck.

I'm on like episode 10 and judging by the comments I'm thinking of holding off watching more until 26th - what do you think?

So many mixed reviews. Haven't started watching. Is it a flop in China? How's it doing?

I'm only half way through but it's not for me. I'm probably not the target audience. It's cute and sweet but zero plot. I've found if there's some comedy, great chemistry or just good banter/characters I enjoy these happy shows but the FL in particular is just so bland. She's not a whole person. It's a similar vibe to hidden love, but hidden love had a plot, and some character development as well as some genuine comedy.

In photos esp, I think Shin Eun Soo resembles Zhao Lusi with this hairstyle. When I saw the promo image for the first time I thought it was her

I've been binge watching it and loving it so far. I'm on episode 18. Just the right amount of angst and intrigue to keep me interested but it's not unbearable torture.

The lead's chemistry and the ability of ML actor makes ML seem much nicer than he is. If this was my friend's boyfriend I'd be like, girl bye! - he's a douche. Kissing her when she's drunk, pursuing someone from work who is his subordinate(sort of?), she clearly told him like 3 times she wants a working professional relationship and he was like... but I want to date you. Then as soon as he wears her down and gets what he wants he starts acting like a d*ck.

Yeah I agree completely! Beautiful people, some strange visual choices. I've found Bai Lu's hair got much better after episode one and some outfits are okay but the filter and make up is just weird.

My first impression is totally superficial - I really dislike the show's aesthetic. The sets, the outfits, the makeup, the colour grading and the filter all seem off to me. The blue and red combo of Zheng Shu Yi's office needs to die and both leads look washed out and slightly "off". In the book Bai Lu's character is supposed to be stunning, and whilst the actress is, the makeup and costumes just aren't doing her any favours.

Are the lead's using voice actors or actor's voices?

I've just started this... so FL is younger in her current body than ML but much older if you count her past lives?

I want to start watching this so bad but I'm trying to wait for more episodes... i know I will be sad not being able to binge watch it
