I’m not happy wt Huang Wei giving him that many layers in fight scenes. Why making it so much more difficult for him, it’s dangerous. It’s gets everywhere making it longer to film (needs tons of retake). The only saving grace is CFY - director is fr photography background hopefully it is worth the extra work for Leo.
In the novel TLZ also fights wt sword, flute. Using red silk and pearl as weapons. So far in the leak we haven’t seen him using any weapons. Maybe - maybe he is like mortal TTJ, he has immortal super power.
He's really Wanning in that sense. His endurance and perseverance so awe-inspiring, and pitiful at the same time.
HYX was filmed in summer, and we can see various wound on Leo legs bcs he wore short. There is a scenes where he was hanged for 6 hours and rotating again and again to get a perfect shot. And he didn't complain.
Leo is following Zhang Rouyun route. All big ML. I hope next they can pair him wt experience amazing older actor…
LOL. I want something far from MLC, esp bcs they are the same author. The controversy that MLC took many back stories from SLY novel and adapted it into MLC is enough for me to hope for a totally different story. And I really prefer LYX in xianxia. Xuanxia here.

1. Leo hair controversy: All white, half white etc. Tang Lici hair will evolve in the drama. We WILL SEE him in ALL WHITE hair too. White hair shows his pure state of mind. Ombre Black Hair shows his mortal world state of mind. If you look closely, the degree of white highlights varies from one wig to another, his hair colour transformation is telling his journey. I don’t know if we will get to see him in all black hair or not. Abt his highlight quality, the filter will take care of it. Just hope no slimming filter like in TTEOTM, Leo face doesn’t need slimming filter.
2. Costume controversy: Relax, this is not even a week filming. Let’s remember we will see many costumes. In fact, I believe nothing is going to be as bad as MING YE OVERSIZE GILDED DRAGON WATER FAUCET wedding costume. Come on, nothing can beat that ABSOLUTELY hideous costume.
Most S+ dramas in the last few years are using this designer, but she really became super famous aft TTOETM. I didn’t expect she dresses TLC with such heavy costumes for fight scenes (too dangerous esp. wt. wire etc) and elevate the difficulties for LYX. However, in the novel TLC dresses to the nine when he is going on Killing spree.
The same production team has learned their mistake from TTEOTM and seems like they r on the right track better than before.

He has been v consistent about it since he rose to fame in 2018. He is v dedicated during filming that’s why he can bring the most complex Character in C drama to perfection - TTJ. Leo doesn’t like going to these events, unless he must (like Tencent in 2020- for Immortality promotion) or serious award from Gov. In short unless he must, he won’t leave filming. A lot of the time he also postpones filming for endorsement aft finish his filming. He let his works speaks for himself and not seeking popularity through various red-carpet events.

In the novel, he is a boi band member from modern era and all 4 of them accidently time travelled to ancient time. TLC picked up by his Boi band member and later adopted by the current emperor. Instead, an ancient folktale from ancient text "Taiping Guangji" (Extensive Records of the Taiping Era) ancient stories about a fox who transformed into a dragon flying to the sky. In Drama TLC is said to come from “foreign land” the hint is in the poster (Immortal/God TLC in white hair sitting on lotus). Leo mentioned his character as Tang Huli – Tang Fox. At this point we don’t know the whole story. The drama also adopted an ancient story about Shi Kuang, a music genius who studied music in depth and used it as weapon. In the drama TLC is found by Shi Kuang disciples near mount Li, where the fox transformed into Dragon. He is adopted as disciples and all member of Shi Kuang disciples are using various musical instrument to as weapons, including hypnotizing people using singing. The C title Water Dragon Songs relates to TLC using music as weapon.

Everyone has body double. Leo usually only has 1 bcs he can do almost everything himself. In C drama to save $, sometimes they used body double to shoot back views wt another camera men, while ML can do another scene wt main director. For ex: TTEOTM, Leo had 1 body double, FL had 4 (fr extra confession).
Looks like Leo will film the same fight scenes for a few days using the same costume. Maybe in drama is 1-2 minutes. Let’s remember TTEOTM Gods vs ADG battles took 25 days to film more than 10 hours shooting. YQY Battle that is only 3 minutes in the drama took a week to film. Leo scenes effectiveness is really high (fr fight director confessions) and shooting him takes less time than others. Many extra on set saying Leo is one take only actor.
