This 🍉surfaced 3x, in ’24, ’25 and now—take it with a grain of salt. The character is highly complex and difficult to portray, likely only LYX can, but also hard to pass censorship. Some said, this drama has been waiting for him since '24 and the script is still being polished (to make sure it can pass censorship). Real drama news may not come until he’s free from his agency at the end of July.

Mango insiders said MangoTV refused his agency’s acts as producer and brought their entire artist lineup (like WoF), Mango only wants LYX. This clashed with his agency’s agenda.

The above tread by Azure I believe explained the ending the best from the producer, from analyzing everything that Producer put out since the beginning, the interview, the original poster, etc. It is a very through in depth writing that makes you appreciate WoF on deeper level beyond just drama entertainment.

"The concept of the fox dragon comes from Records of the Taiping Era (太平广记:奇事记), a collection of mostly supernatural short stories. The white fox often came down Mt. I agree he has high IQ and EQ, but he is also highly artistic in nearly everything he does: singing, calligraphy, songwriting and lyric composition, game music composition and programming, drawing, and of course, as a national-level award-winning ballet dancer. The list goes on.

No doubt, I have not seen any actor with such a deep understanding of his characters. He doesn’t just portray them—he becomes them wholly. The more complex the role, the better he is. Give him a strong production and script with a truly layered character, and Luo Yunxi never fails to cement it as a classic. How many actors his age can claim three true classics, without relying on marketing? Best is he is not slowing down, his next acting is always better than the last. He is also the best actor for cultural export.

It went viral in China and was easily one of Luo Yunxi’s best singing performances to date. Hunan TV gave him a standout stage that night to celebrate Whispers of Fate becoming Mango’s top drama of 2025. The two dragons guarding him front and back—echoing Tang Li Ci’s Central Plain dragon and his jade flute dragons—were stunning. The running joke was that half the budget for Hunan TV Lantern Festival, went into Luo Yunxi’s stage design.

All we know is a chat between scriptwriter and producer days before drama airs, producer asked scriptwriter to start S2. But whether it will be produced or not we don't know atm.

Watching the latest leaks and every single photo during filming, it’s clear that his embodiment of Shizun is perfect—every gesture, every look carries the weight of our beloved Shizun.

For me, the wait of more than six years doesn’t matter; true classics are never bound by time.
HYX is a classic and still one of the best script ever written in C Drama.
