I don`t believe it either. I think they will show a story of the past. In 600 years lots of thinks have happened.

It`s great then. I don`t have high expectation but I am easily disappointed if I don`t find a logical story. LOL
I heard about prequels but It is the first time we have two prequeals but they are not in chronological order. I am curious why they decided to show the events backwards.

Then you have the highest chance to be disappointed if the second season is not how you expect.. LOL But for our sake and everyone else, let`s hope it will be a good script.

OK. So Lee Yeon`s friend can be in the second season. If Lee Rang`s lady friend was a recent friendship in season 1, I think he will have another connection here. I still think it is possible he will have a love story this season but unfortunately it could be a tragic one (but not necesarrily).

I know that both Lee brothers had a close gumiho friend. Do they meet them in the past (Joseon or colonial era)? it is possible to appear at least one of them?

I am not having high expectation but I hope there will be at least a decent well developed character. While the gumiho brothers are loved characters already, the ladies will have a tough job.

I really really doubt Kim So Yeon will play the character Ji Ah. I am sure she will play a different character. The narative love story between Lee Yeon and Ji Ah is finished. It had a happy ending. What`s left for that story? It doesn`t matter who plays the character (another reincarnation or not), I can`t imagine they want to revisit the same story. It doesn`t make any sense.
About another love interest for the older brother, I don`t know if they will give us that storyline. Probably not. But not because of the supposed "he can love only one person" . That`s just a phrase who doesn`t have support in reality. That`s my opinion. One people can have a single great love story but that doesn`t mean she/he can`t have another romantic connection in a millennial lifetime.
I think So yeon will play a non human character in this drama (a villain or perhaps a "good girl"). I personally want a grey character, something in between. It is possible to have another lead female character. Perhaps a love interest for the younger gumiho. Maybe she is the good girl of the story. シ
Everything is possible, I don`t know why they don`t announce anything. I doubt it will air in the first half of next year (some articles said that) if they don`t start producing this drama soon. But maybe they have exerything prepared for filming and we don`t know. LOL

Nobody knows when this drama will air. I want to know first more information about the plot, the cast, starting filming and so on.

Everyone is curious how their relationship will be. I am curious about the plot also and of course, So yeon`s role. I am watching this drama for her.
There is another tvN drama about immortals (Bulgasal) but it looks more intense and serious. From what I read, The Tale of Nine Tailed was more comic. I am more into the serious dramas (not a fan of rom com for exemple) but I don`t mind a comedic plot if it is used properly. But the plot is important for me. It is hard to imagine anything about this drama at this point because we don`t know anything. LOL

If they thought of two more seasons I am sure they have stories for them. Some liked the first season, some not that much, and others did not like it at all. Usually, the second season or prequels are more difficult to make to please the audience. Let`s hope they have good material if they decided to produce more seasons.

Next years there will be lots of dramas with female friendship. I wonder who are the two actresses of this drama and what their relationship will be like.

I have a strong feeling So yeon will play an immortal (a gumiho or other creature) in this drama. Or maybe is wishful thinking. LOL I wish she will play a grey character, not good, not bad, something in between. Even if she will be the main villain, I hope it is a likable villain. One of my favorite characters are the villains but not the one dimentional ones.
I also have a feeling that her charcter will have a tragic ending. I am alright with that.
We know nothing about this season. I wish they will release more information, about the other cast, about the plot.

I am sure I don`t know many things about season 1. I will watch season 2 if So yeon will appear in this drama so I hope I will understand the mystical things without seeing the first season,
I know that Lee Yeon spent lot of time searching for his first love reincarnation but that`s his whole purpose in life along with his official job? I expect more from an immortal creature.
Acording to the first season he is still searching for his lover but I don`t have to see that. Everyone knows that and it was shown in the plot of first season. If they won`t show how he is searching for her lover`s soul in season 2 doesn`t mean it is not true. I expect to see other aspects of the imortal life/mystical world.
I don`t have great expectations but It is possible that he met another friend or a foe in this past life, actively participated in various human life's events, show more things about gumiho family. I don`t know.
I wonder if the colonial set up is just that (and the imortals will face other imortals) or we`ll see the story of them involved with common people and their events.

I know that in season 1 the gumiho brothers were at odds but each other at first and then they have clarified their misunderstandings.
I am thinking that the writer will want to make a situation where the brothers (being to the odds with each other) will collaborate. Or I doubt they will reuse the same plot from the fist season. In the hundreds of years of existence, they could have had multiple encounters and perhaps there is one or several other another situation that made them be estranged. That doesn`t negate the story of season 1 (how they explain the situation between them) they could bring different aspects. What it will be the same IMO is the love for each other (I assumed there was one), how the younger brother wants the aproval/recognition/ love from his older brother even if he accepts it to himself or not. .

Why pointless? I don`t see it what way.
About romance. I did not watch the drama but I read some comments and reviews. I kind of know what happened. I know that there were people who loved the romance and others that were not fond of the romance. IMO, it is nothing wrong with the romance but what is important for me is the story as a whole.
Now, they could bring a romance partner for Lee Rang. That is new and they could explore a different aspect of his life. I know that he had a friendship with a female gumiho in season 1 and people loved it.
Lee Yeon could have the same kind of friendship or even he could have another romance and it won`t negate the love story of season 1. I know people (who loved the couple in season 1) are very protective of their feelings. The fact that Lee yeon might have another love interest, doesn`t negate his great love story with Ji Ah. It is my opinion. Love comes in different time or aspects in a lifetime and not always has to be the greatest love. As I`ve already mentioned, it is hard for me to imagine a man, living like a monk for hundreds of years, denying any closeness to someone of the opposite sex just because he was inlove with another woman who doesn`t even know if he will meet again. He still can search for the reincarnation of his lover and still could like someone else, or form a friendship or even have some romantic feelings. It could be a friendship, a light romance, just people enjoying spending time together.
Because of the first season, the love story (if there is one) will be just a moment in someone`s life and probably a tragic one.
I feel sorry for the actress playing the love interest for the older brother, if there is one. People already don`t like romance at all (who did not like it in season 1 either) and others who dislike the idea of another love interest for him. It sucks to be between rock and a hard place. I hope is not So yeon in this place. LOL Let her play the villain. Everyone expects her to play a strong character.

I still don`t want to see So yeon in this drama but she always tries different roles/ genre so if she accepts this drama, she probably find something interesting in the script. I will trust her choice.
I want to see her playing a complexed character, even a villain or an antiheroine but I am aware I could not get what I want. I am not a fan of the supernatural thing, so I am cautious of thinking how this drama will be.
I am curious about the plot and the other characters. We`ll know more about this drama when we`ll have information.

No, she has not confirmed. So yeon wants to try different genre and she has not done an action fantasy drama yet. If she will sign with this drama I really hope the drama will be good and her character will be well written.
